- In this video I travel 2000 kms to the remote barrens on the Island of Newfoundland. It was the best year for birds and our shooting was exceptional. What an incredible trip with a couple of great buddies.
Thanks for watching,

Great looking hunt Chuck. Lots of action.
Awesome video. I absolutely love the setter breed of dogs and she sure is having fun enjoying her passion of the hunt. She is certainly needed out on the barrens to help with finding the birds. Congratulations on what looked like a fantastic hunt.

Awesome video chuck , If I were to say I wasn’t super jealous I’d be lying! He certainly does love his feed of goose in the camp. Hope to join on a future trip!
Dunno what we would do without the chef in our camp now!!!! lol.
Bags in the boots!
I've been there!
Ton of Birds in that area!
Thanks for recommending feathers and friends NL and that was an awesome adventure. 😊😊
Great day out buddy. Fine group of guys. Take care
Looks like a lot of fun. Thanx for taking us along!
Wow an awesome day on the barrens. Some great shooting. Thanks
Awesome video buddy nice hunt
Hey Chuck! Boys that brought back memories, plastic bags in the ol' rubber boots. I practically lived in my rubber boots as a kid and up to my late teens, growing up on a farm was quite hard on the footwear. That would been a awesome time hunting with friends. Thanks for taking us along. For the record, sobeys bag and Ben's bread bags were tougher than the others. Lol
Haha. Have to keep that in mind!!! Hard to get Sobeys bags these days!
@@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors sobeys bags were thicker plastic. Lol. Hope you all are doing well.
Thanks for sharing another Outside Adventure, Chuck style!!
Lot’s of action on that bird hunt.
Tks Victor. We spent two more days after that day. 4 days in total on the barrens. What a great time with the guys
Hey chuck ben waiting all summer for the winter videos love the videos off good old Newfoundlander telling a story…
It don't get no better than that. Tanks for sharing.
Awesome video Chuck
Excellent video Chuck. Love this kind of stuff. Some good shots ye guys made. Ye had a awesome time I do believe. Take care.
Great hunt.
Great hunting
Great video buddy, what beautiful birds!!
Great hunting video.
Like you said, hunting video are not the most popular but I personally love them.
Look like you hade a good time.
Pat
Tks bud
Nice seeing the caribou so close. I would be scared of hitting the dog with a stray pellet awesome video stay safe and we will wait for the next video
Ian
Always kinda looks that way in the video. Improper depth of view. We passed up a bunch of shots that were too close to precious Bella 🐕
Great video, sure do miss partridge hunting back home.
We hunt partridge here in the winter time from snowmobiles but there’s nothing like walking on the barrens
Thank you so much for posting this Chuck, this is my dads passion. He walked miles and miles of barren country with many dogs and shot several birds! You can spend hours talking to him about his most successful days. Nothing gets his heart pumping faster than a well trained Setter stood rock solid on a covey of wild ptarmigan!
It’s the kind of hunt that sticks out. The walk alone is so pleasurable
Great video as per usual buddy
Good hunt, hard to gauge how far the dog is away in the video a couple times it looked close!
Yes the video from the GoPro is kinda deceiving. We passed up a ton of shots because the dog was too close. #1 considered. She pretty valuable! Lol
Hey, chuck another awesome video as always. I think we got the same predator lurking around. It would be nice to know any tips or tricks if you dont mind sharing to keep my cabin safe for my family and my dogs. I know where in their area, and i always excepted to see one around. I just thought they would keep more of a distance. Any advice would be a help. Thanks
My next video details exactly what I did bud. Keep watchin’ 👍
Good times, buddy.
You were just north of me on that hunt.
Never hunted partridge before though.
A bit of pheasant when I was in Alberta.
How many birds are you allowed?
Can't beat a plastic bag in the boots ! We use to expect wet condition on our way to school. Hahaha!
100%. Works best kind. You just have to make sure your bootstrings are a little tighter as your foot tends to slip around a bit more
Great video as always. Is that guy Marks last name Raymond? Wondering because one of my grandfather’s brothers Will Raymond moved out that way in the early 1900’s. Could be a relative.
The guys names were mark breon and Wayne Barney. Known them for 30 years. Best of buddies.
@@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors Oh sorry man thought his last name was Raymond. And I don’t know how I came up with that. Take care, love the vids.
