- In this week's episode we are going to talk about Old Orchard Beach or THE OOB. Old Orchard Beach is an amazing time. With it’s amusement parks, fantastic beach, and great restaurants it is the perfect place to come with your family and friends to have an amazing time. There is a boardwalk, pier, and great events to enjoy. Come to a classic car show, a summer concert, palace playland amusement park, or even take part in the beach olympics. Also Old Orchard is a great place to buy a condo or get a summer rental! There is really something for everyone at Old Orchard beach - what’s your favorite thing to do? Remember if you Make Maine Your Home you don’t have to do it alone!

Thank you for the Video and Impressions, after 7 years this Summer i can visit my Relatives in Portland-Maine again, OOB is on my list of places to visit, we had a great time there before. 😃👍

Calling it Maine's Jersey Shore is pretty accurate. I've spent a ton of time in both. It's a great place to entertain the kids, but if you're just looking for a quiet getaway, you might want to look north of the pier.
I agree. It's great for a fun time, there are some quiet places in OOB but near the pier is not one of them!

I have a camping trip to OOB planned in early JUNE of this year . What can i expect as far as crowds, weather and traffic at that time of year?
Summer in Maine definitely brings crowds! That being said early June won't be too bad. It can still be a bit cold so make sure you have some sort of heat source if you are tent camping. Also I suggest driving during there week and not on the weekend to avoid tourist traffic up to Maine, but once you are here there is really no traffic! I really hope you enjoy your trip!
I know there's quite a few parking areas but is parking very difficult? Does it fill up quickly on summer weekends? (August)
There are a bunch of parking lots that have all day parking. I have not had issues personally!

I go there every year with my family for 16 -17 years and i love the Skylark Hotel it is amazing or the cafe at the rail road tracks

Blue collar resort, sorta rundown ....check room before paying , i grew up there 1/2 my youth &father ran a motor court in the day ....50&60 ...1950s that is! Lol

Im going there tmr morning from canada and im a big food guy so what is some good restaurants from old orchard beach
The must-have in the area is pier fries! But if you are looking for a sit-down meal Hooligans is a great option because it is out on the Pier!

No Palm Trees !!! Actually the furthest north that I've seen year round Palm Trees was at Virginia Beach Virginia.Old Orchard Beach looks very charming though!!

When you go to old towns you expect old fashioned dive bars. It's not meant to be modern and luxurious?

Loved that place so much as a kid, but the last 2 years we went there the locals would yell racial slurs at us. We were Quebecois, what happened, what did we do to offend them. My parents decided we wouldn't go anymore, word got around in Quebec. We wasn't welcomed ther anymore.. I ask why?? I loved that place.
So sorry to hear that happened. That is really terrible that you did not feel welcome in such a fun place in Maine
Come down to Kennebunkport, Wells Beach or Ogunquit Beach. You won't get racial slurs there. Loved to have you!
