Rosa Mar Tato Ortega on MPRG AiR (Artist-in-Residency)

Rosa Mar Tato Ortega is a Spanish-Australian visual artist and creative collaborator currently living on the Mornington Peninsula.
MPRG AiR was a creative pause for Rosa. She discusses a current body of work that came out of a project Rosa did with asylum seekers who told her stories about their experiences.
Rosa felt a push-pull between the heaviness of the language of the area - 'Police Point', 'Quarantine Centre', but also knowing that it's a birthing place of Indigenous people and is known as 'Monmar'.
