What do you think - will the Quest 3s/ Lite be a success or a flop? 🤔
Give me your reasons why 👇
Im pretty impressed at the level of work quality considering you dont even have 1000 subs, keep it up
Appreciate that! Hopefully I'll get to 1000 subs soon enough 😃
man this quality is crazy, looked down expected atleast 100k subs. (edit most over 100k dont even have this quality)
Thanks a lot dude! Haha I wish - working on 1k subs first 😅
@@VirtualMoose it'll happen soon bro dont even worry
I've found more than a few quest 3's in my area for 300-350$ I think that would be the only speed bump for looking at the lite. Good stuff subbed
Wow that's cheap for a Quest 3! Yes let's see what price the Quest 3 comes in at, hopefully it's as low as rumoured. Thanks for the sub! 😁
Perhaps ironically, Quest gets to make both those decisions. Good place to be, in the market...
Yes, they’ve invested heavily to be in the position they’re in, hopefully that continues to be good for the rest of us
When it comes to the wrist buttons, my guess is that it's to make that feature "accessible" for everyone. I am a quadriplegic who has limited hand function. I enjoy my Quest 2 for some apps and exercise (boxing, hit a tennis or baseball, etc.) but I can't pinch. With a wrist button, I would be able to use my opposing pinky knuckle or wrist to "choose" (pinch and drag) a window/box.
Great video mate. But, and this comes from the place of love fresnel is pronounced as fray-NELL 🙈
Haha well now I know 🙈 Thanks for the correction 😂
I personally think the Quest 3S/Lite will have color passthrough but no depth sensor. This would allow for players to use apps in mixed reality and see their room while watching TH-cam or playing Xbox, but not allow for proper occlusion or things like Augments when they finally release. The depth sensing cameras that will be included I think are only designed to see the hands more clearly so that hand tracking works the best.
That's an interesting theory, I could see them going that way with it. So you can still use Mixed Reality, but you only get the full experience on the regular Quest 3. But we still need to wait for the features that really take advantage of it to come out (like the ones you mentioned - where's the Augments?!)
Amazing content easy to understand. You should have way more subscribers. Keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot dude, I appreciate that! Hopefully the subscribers are on their way haha 🤞
Wow! That was a lot of news. Nicely done. Good content. I like what you did with the graphics overlays and matched them up to what you were saying. Good production quality.
I like what the guy did with the view outside his balcony. And like you, I imagine that could be quite dystopian, but I can also imagine it becoming a thing that people do to brighten up their view of their outside.
Thanks Andy! Yes lots to cover this week, it's an exciting time for VR 🤩 Glad you like my new style of video, appreciate it 🙏
I can definitely see the virtual balcony view going both ways, I guess if you've already got a bad view you might as well brighten it up 😅
Btw, I have a Quest 3 and I can say that the controllers are not good, the ring on Quest 2 controllers made so you could hold them sideways and the headset could see them when holding them down, the lack of ring on the Quest 3 controllers make them less exact and some do experience that they point 15 to 20 degree to the side due to poor tracking when starting, clat grip when playing Beat Saber is not possible.
BTW, thank you for a good video, and sorry for comment spamming.
I've got Quest 2 & 3, and while I have to say I do get some tracking loss occasionally on the touch plus controllers, I still prefer them without the big rings. Makes things like reloading guns much easier. I guess it just depends on your use case! Never knew holding the controllers sideways was a thing though!
No worries - thanks for your comments 😃
Interesting!😮😮
Veryyyy interestingggg 🤔
299 is the most joe public will pay for a vr hmd, proven by the Q2, hence why the Q3 and PSVR2 are selling like warm seconds hand condoms, so both Meta and Sony need to either take a hit to get them selling, bring out a cheaper revised version, so just let them fail.
if meta wanted to make quest cheaper they could give it expandable storage htc did it with their aio headset would have made the 64gig quest2s some life
I would love to be able to expand the storage and increase the GPU memory in my Quest, hopefully one day that becomes a thing 🤞
I think Quest 3 Lite is a lie, it is more an "Quest 2 ver2" or "Quest2+", still a good thing but with a bad name that may make some users annoyed when they start to compare it to Quest 3 and not Quest 2.
Hmm never thought about that 🤔 the Quest 2+ might be a more appropriate name as that is kinda what it seems like...but I don't think it would be as exciting at this point, considering the Quest 2 has been out for a while now.
This or the bigscreen beyond?
Probably Bigscreen Beyond IF you have a powerful enough PC. Good thing about Quest is it's standalone!
@@VirtualMoose Bigscreen Beyond for me then. Thank you!
@@TruthLoveCourage777 no worries, enjoy!
are you a filming major
No, but I studied Media Communications at uni! Just always loved making videos haha
@@VirtualMoose nice
I think it'll be a flop and people will just stick to their Quest 2's and or upgrade straight to the Quest 3 because this just seems like a Quest 2 Pro and not going pancake lenses is going to be the biggest slap to the face with the Lite, I immediately resold my Q2 after a week over it because it wasn't possible for me to find the sweet spot on it so everything was just permanently blurry
EDIT: And continuing to do the garbage 3 option IPD selector
I reckon people without any VR headset might consider the Quest 3 Lite just because of its cheaper price point. But I don't see anyone rushing to upgrade from the Quest 2, unless they reeeaaally want to get into Mixed Reality and don't have the budget for the Quest 3...the Fresnel lenses are a shame though, immediately noticed the difference on my Q3
@@VirtualMoose Yeah I sold my Quest 2 in a week of having it and bought the Quest 3, it was such a noticeable upgrade that the reddit comparisons didn't even do it justice. And I 100% agree that people will consider it if they don't own a VR Headset
Immediately lost my purchase with fresnel lenses.
Yeah that is a shame, the pancake lenses are a game changer. But if it's coming in at that low of a price point I can't say I'm surprised 😕
this not meta quest 3 s this is meta quest 3 ass
😂😂😂
