The worst thing about this is both Ryanair aircraft sound like they don’t care. Is pilot deviation from Air Traffic Control being enforced? Especially during critical phases such as landing at a busy airport.
The thing is... it sounded like a safety issue. Albeit probably caused by their own long landing But sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Everyone safe, so just a minor delay and some forms to fill out. So there is really not that much for them to care about.
Honestly i have no idea why they did what they did Maybe they weren’t oriented with the taxiway layout.. maybe they landed too fast to vacate via the taxiway close to threshold 10 as well! I just don’t know but something is definitely not right here
@@Flight_Follower Agreed. Almost seemed like the atc gave them "Is this the reason?" type question, and the pilot thought that affirming might get them out of trouble almost, which then caused more issues as affirming meant checking their answer.....very strange
They briefed their exit from the runway based on their planned performance landing calculation. And realised upon landing that despite their best efforts of applying probably manual braking action, they were unable to exit onto E7. Ryanair have a very short turnaround time, they wanted the shortest route to their gate, and didn't want to exit further down the runway which could cause further delays to their planned departure time. The tiller is on the captain's side, so he/she will be held responsible for backtracking without tower permission.
Direct and to the point..."Screwed everything" >.
Absolutely

You do have to agree that with that lovely lilting Irish accent, everything is just that little bit nicer even a screw up like this!
Isnt there a taxi way at the end of the runway that they could have taken rather than doing 180?

Unbeliveably poor piloting. And a bullshit reason for the 180.
Seems odd, almost like they hadn't briefed the exit taxiways, but even still backtracking without informing atc. Baffling, don't get it.
I felt the same way… not sure whether they actually found any burnt rubber on runway or not

Why does RyanAir always seem to have landing issues?
Probably their landing issues get a lot of attention for some reason! Ppl love to hate ryanair apparently
The title is misleading. The last quote was taken out of context:"...which just screwed everything."
Edit: Title has now been edited
Sorry you felt that way,sir
Are you not aware of the YT rule that says all titles and thumbnails must be misleading?
We didn’t intend to mislead our audience sir.. i will change the title
