A visit to Eel Marsh House from "Woman in Black 2" (Nocton Hall)

- In this video, I take a quick look around Nocton Hall in Lincolnshire, which was used as Eel Marsh House in "The Woman in Black 2 : Angel of Death".

I live not far from here and it's a gorgeous old building. The hospital part is well worth a look round too. I ain't seen movie yet but will do. :)
Great vid m8, I've been in the hall and around the hospital a few times now, the corridors in the hospital are amazing....
I have visited the hospital grounds myself, though several years ago before they padlocked the gates. It was in a bad enough state then, but was actually quite shocked at just how much further the place has deteriorated since then.

+derelictCHEESEBURGER Thanks for the comments. Just be aware that there are residential houses in the grounds, plus there's a care home right next door to the place, so just be mindful when visiting.

Very nice documentary. i think I might have pictures of this place from around 1987 Reforger USAF TDY for an exercise I was part of.
Thanks. I did actually go round and photograph the whole hospital site back in 2004, which would have been about ten years after its closure and it was pretty run down then. Now its even more overgrown and run down. So depressing to see. :-(

Hi there I was stationed there and I worked in the hall it was a priferlidged to have been there and when you showed the hospital and accommodation I could see the block I lived in theres a great pub in the village we used to walk threw the woods to get to it I loved the posting the service personnel were great I felt very moved to see her so sad I wish they would just rebuild her and make her smile again if I had tons of money I would buy her and rebuild her god bless her and all around herx
Thanks, I actually used to have a photography site which had a load of photos of this place I took in 2004 (along with a load of other old military bases). Sadly, the web host went bust and my site dissapeared into the ether.
@@Realm-of-Horror hello mr dark angel know that's a crying shame photograph have alot to say about history about the past and the peaple who was there when I watched the video I throught about how she looked and how sad she is today 😊 I would love to learn more

@@Realm-of-Horror hello have you been to r a f binbrook and church fenton I have been to them as well church fenton is a small aircraft airfield a few months ago we went back it's not as we remembered it are married quarter looks totally different but binbrook it's all run down and have you been to germany r a f bruggen that's all run down and r a f wildenrath it to is run down such a shame
@@lindaforrester464 Yes I've visited Binbrook, got a load of pics of the old site and the places where they filmed Memphise Belle (managed to get kicked off site on my first visit by a rather irate letting agent, who thought I was a theiving gypo or something, so had to pop back another time to finish getting pics).
I think I've visited all the old RAF Bases in Lincolnshire, as well as a few further affield. But not visited Church Fenton, that's a little too far North.

Just so people know, you are allowed to go all around the hall just not through the fences
I know people do frequently walk through the grounds, but wasn't sure if there was an actual public right of way, hence the disclaimer. Also, I didn't want to encourage people to actually try and look round the ruins themselves (of which there are videos of on TH-cam) as the place is in a very dangerous state.
Interesting video i have been here on two occasions at night and i can say nocton has a strange feeling about it... i would say it is haunted!
If you're wondering where the 1989 version was filmed, it was filmed in Stan lake park wine estate. You should visit it and make a vid on it

Did they tore down the building, or did they rebuild it? In your video, it is in a very bad constitution.
Its still standing, still dilapidated though, sadly. Since this video was filmed, the whole site has become so overgrown, you can't even see it now.
@@Realm-of-HorrorHoly cow. I think it is an abandoned Place now, isn't it? They could tear down it or blow up. I know an abattoir which is an abandoned Place. I think there are problems with the market building which is conaminatet with asbestos. So there are special rules to dispose the rubble of it.
Some horror film needs to use alton towers.

I don't know why They Call it The Woman in Black 2 it should be called The Woman in Black 3 since The 2012 Movie with Daniel Radcliffe is actually A Remake of A very low Budget 1989 TV Movie that Adrian Rawlins starred in He was also in The Woman in Black 2 and James Potter in The Harry Potter Movies

The island was Osea Island in Essex, I did explain this in the video. The actual mansion house is in a completely seperate location.
