im not sure but i think in the books they wear hide or leather .........or some type of cloth armor on parts of there body so as to have some protection while not burning up in the desert sun

It would be interesting to see what would happen if the Sarnori realized the threat from the beginning and actually held them off and survived, how that would impact the entire world.
The Kingdom of Sarnor I’d equivocate with the Khwaresmian Empire. It was one of the largest and wealthiest empires in the Middle East, but the mongols reduced it to ruin. Merv was one of the largest cities in the Islamic world before the mongols wiped it off the face of the planet.
In other words, shitier and more short sighted and backwards Hun and mongol expies, with more a focus on MANPOWER, than on horse archery, good planning and actually giving a shit about conquering and not just burning and looting.
Well it means they have far more of a legacy. The Mongols as powerful as they were really didn't have much of a cultural legacy at all. Most of the regions they conquered like China, India, Persia and Russia retained their culture and just assimilated the Mongols. After about a century of Mongol rule they all just kicked them out and picked up where they left off. The most they did was equalize the development of technology. Spreading advanced technology in more primitive regions and setting back development of more advanced regions.
The mongols seriously considered exterminating literally all of the farmers in eurasia just so they could have more grassland for their horses. They were basically the Nazis of the 12th century

The Saxxons with the Britons, The Huns with the Goths, The Magyar to the Avars, The slavs to the illyrians, the franks to the Gaul, the Han with alot of china, the germans with the Baltic Prussians, the Germans to the Pomeranians, hell, The Turks to the Anatolian greeks, the arabs and most of we consider 'the Arabic world', even the Scottish to the Picts in some degree.

Hell I'd ignore it if I wasn't forced to play Halo 1 when I was a teenager, through lack of games.

The settled peoples need gunpowder and by extension guns to get rid of the problem of the Dothraki. In real history the steppe tribes were a constant source of trouble with their riding and archery skills and their raiding and slaving. That was, until guns gave the advantage to settled peoples.
Carl Bates the dothraki could be fucked up very easily by archers. they have no armor or shields, which makes them that vonorable to archers. I would simply get me some longbows and high walls and if they come shoot them to shit.
The Dothraki are unmatched archers, except for Summer Islanders who the Dothraki never fight. Combined with their riding ability including their ability to accurately shoot at full gallop and no one can beat therm. However, it's not well explained how they can take down fortifications like walls so effectively.
I'm not sure how to explain that away. Real steppe peoples wore armor, at least light armor to deflect glancing hits from arrows. There was something about using speed but I wouldn't be too confident in dodging arrows.

The Dothraki are obviously based on the Mongols. Their westward expansion was halted by the Mamluks who were slaves that served in the military in order to earn their freedom.
The Huns only started to have a true military(with infantry,artillery,etc) after they're wins over those they conquered,taking in "slaves" that they made into soldiers during they're campaign across Europe and other parts of Asia. When the Huns first started they're invasions they were actually only Horsemen being among if not the first mounted archers in the world.

They do have mounted archers, who use curved bows.
yeah he is correct, Dothraki use dragonbone bows and Bows similar to mongol recurve bows.
The Mongols were somewhat more flexible though and they did use navies. It wasn't really their forte but they still did it.

The Dothraki are obviously based on the Mongols. Their westward expansion was halted by the Mamluks who were slaves that served in the military in order to earn their freedom.
They are based on the Huns(which it's decendants still exists today as the Hungarians) not Mongols,The Jhogos Nhai are based on Mongols.
The Huns weren´t all cavalry like this. They actually had a very varied military and a pretty well organised empire.
The Huns only started to have a true military(with infantry,artillery,etc) after they're wins over those they conquered,taking in "slaves" that they made into soldiers during they're campaign across Europe and other parts of Asia.
When the Huns first started they're invasions they were actually only Horsemen being among if not the first mounted archers in the world.

Well it's in there, go the section titled the Grasslands and they go over a lot of this, not right away though you have to read the whole section because they don't get into the dothraki until after they explain the ancestral kingdoms of the grasslands.

The directors forgot about the blood riders needing to avenge their khals bit... jon & the starks would have been slaughtered... the thousands of dothraki in essos would never stop invading westerous (along with the free people and the followers if the lord of light who basically saw Daenerys as their equivalent of jesus)... 90% of all character arcs and motivations was thrown out of the window ☠

I think the Mongols are more the Jogos Nhai. The Dothraki are definitely Turkic/Scythian.
@@SamIAmSXEDisagree, I think Dothraki are an amalgam of Huns, Schythians, Alans, Turks and Mongols while Jogos Nhai are mainly inspired by Turkic tribes given their territorial expansion and rivalry with Yi Ti which was modeled after China.
