I love how the singing is Jekyll and the screams are Hyde. Also the fact that you pretty much moved the message from the story to a song the idea of duality how Jekyll is everyone on the surface yet a Hyde lurks beneath us all just wanting to be let out.
Famous Last Words did an amazing job with their story like album! 💕 And I recently found Ice Nine Kills and I love this album! Cant wait to hear their other albums
+Vital System Basically they have albums that are like stories. Famous Last Words has an album called Two Face Charade and it is a story about a guy who loves a girl who has a boyfriend and his inner demon tells him to kill her bf. The band also made a 30 minute movie out of t. Its great.
If you really like story based albums, may I suggest the 'Odyssey to the West' by Slice the Cake? While it - stylistically - isn't really Famous Last Words, it's much more complex, and with a - or what I feel anyway - considerably deeper storyline. I can also recommend 'Neverbloom' by Make Them Suffer for a nice story based album. With that being said, I sure hope you like some wistful poeticism in your lyrics if you're going to pursue either band.
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was part of my studies and then I had this in my Spotify weekly, this is truly amazing! If you wanna describe the conflict withing Dr. Jekyll in aprox. 4 minutes, listen to this song. The screaming elements for Hyde, the normal voice for the Dr., this just nails it.
also, to me the drum solo really depicts the trampling of the girl in the start of the book and the senseless beating of his friend by Mr. Hyde that are the key to his character
that's not a drum solo, that's a breakdown. it makes up a lot of the percussion in Metalcore and deathcore, its when you palm mute your guitar and pick the string near the pickups so it makes a really thick percussive sound
My experience during this song: Wow this is pretty, kind of quiet, let me turn up the volume, wow the piano and the scenery is beautiful (REEEEEED) OH MY GOD IM DEAF, RIP EARS. I regain my hearing, ok so its a heavy song and a damn good one. I continue rocking out until the chorus. I remind myself to not turn it up again. Nick Luciano That'd be awesome! Or, since Spencer loves horror movies so much, they could do movies based on Jason Vorhees, Freddy Kreuger, Michael Myers, etc.
the whole album is written from literature, INK is so unbelievably talented. They have one for Animal Farm (The Nature of the Beast), Anne Franks Diary (The people in the Attic), Romeo and Juliet (Star Crossed Enemies) and so much more

I saw Ice Nine Kills at Warped Tour 2016 they were AMAZING!!!!!! The singer went crowd surfing trying to stay on his feet and still signing. First time at Warped Tour, definitely not my last. I recommend seeing them live they are very good!
Why is this my first time hearing about them? I love this type of music. I heard them from another group Spencer collabed with. Hip to be scared was the first song I heard of theirs.
Seriously, I listen to blessthefall and other bands like this, yet the first time I find out about them was a misclick on the Fearless Records TH-cam channel. Best misclick ever.
Based off interpretation. I have done my fair share of listening to both bands and love them both. But they both have different concepts. I listened to FLW first actually. One is based off of a classic literature novel. Jekyll, testing his theory that in every man lies a good and evil force, developed a formula that separated the two. Thus came Hyde. And he fought to gain control over Hyde. Two Faced Charade is about a guy who develops schizophrenia. A long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation.
And i am sorry if it came off as a " I hate Famous Last Words " vibe. I don't hate them at all. They are one of my favorite bands. The relation can be really easy to make between the two, but while they are the same, they are also very different. Have a great day, and keep jamming to some badass music.
+No God Damn Clue What My Username Should Be. I think it's just that this one song in particular sounds a lot like FLW's stuff. Especially considering the similarities in concept between Jekyll and Hyde, and A two-faced charade.

Especially that Jekyll is singing in vain while Hyde just screams the shit out of it becaus he is ferocious, dangerous and does not care at all. I love this.

Zxe Joy to bad he didn't write the songs.... You dumb bitch!! The label wrote every song on the album you are a dumbass if think spencer wrote this. he wrote like a very little percentage in this. The band got a ton of help with writing this album
I looked at an interview and Spencer said that they wrote the whole album, and they tried to make every quote tattoo-able, so before calling people dumb bitches for different reasons, do some research
I love how the whole song is a massive reference to Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde it tells the story very well and sounds amazing. I'm surprised there aren't many more songs about this concept.
everything about this song is great. the relation to the actual story, the contrast and roles the voices play, the beginning transition, the breakdown, I love everything about this song.
I'd like to suggest a video game topic for the next album! Here are some ideas: 1. Resident Evil 2. Silent Hill 3. House of the Dead 4. Devil May Cry 5. The Evil Within 6. Bioshock 1 + 2 7. Doom 8. Mortal Kombat 9. Dead by Daylight 10. The Last of Us
Horror movie adaptations are awesome. Horror video game adaptations would be interesting. But Mortal Kombat isnt really a horror game, but still would be intriguing.
"Fuck my fate, just save a seat for me in Hell." Jesus fucking Christ, INK has never disappointed me. Not once. These guys are some of the best songwriters I've ever seen in this genre.
Absolutely in love with Ice Nine Kills and this song. It gave me chills! They have never made one bad song before and this just adds on to the perfection they've produced
Wage War is in the band or something else... because I'm pretty sure early last year Wage War still only had a small TH-cam channel with like 200 subs.
Jordan Anderson I wasn't talking about recently... "because I'm pretty sure early last year Wage War still only had a small TH-cam channel with like 200 subs." Yes, now they've grown popular because they got put up by Fearless and people loved them. But I followed them when they had one public song on TH-cam that hardly had any footing. The chances of I9K having made a reference to them before anyone really knew who they were is pretty ridiculous.
Jesus fucking CHRIST this song is amazing. Guys of INK... I've been following you since you would hold signs at Warped Tour asking people to come watch you and I am so amazed at what you guys have accomplished. Keep up the great work! Oh and "DEATH TO THE PEOPLE!!!"

Zxe Joy to bad he didn't write the songs.... You dumb bitch!! The label wrote every song on the album you are a dumbass if think spencer wrote this. he wrote like a very little percentage in this. The band got a ton of help with writing this album
+Sk8erboysweet666 Thank you Sally soul crusher.
chillax man
I looked at an interview and Spencer said that they wrote the whole album, and they tried to make every quote tattoo-able, so before calling people dumb bitches for different reasons, do some research
I love how the whole song is a massive reference to Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde it tells the story very well and sounds amazing. I'm surprised there aren't many more songs about this concept.
My mom was diagnosed with split personality and this has been her fav song since it came out idk why that's makes me laugh so much
Apparently 140 people can't stop falling apart in the pouring rain.
Lol
+Tyler Cochrane read that as it came up in the song
+Tyler Cochrane The other 36 are waging war on themselves :(
+Tyler Cochrane Well, I can't help but fall apart in the pouring rain when this voice sings about it^^
But I did not dislike the video :0
That "3 years ago" sits heavy on this now they are several thousand likes in XD
One of the best live shows I have ever seen. Their talent is almost unmatched.
2:50... One of my favorite breakdowns ever...
This song IS MASTERPIECE! Lyrics, vocals, music... Love it! \m/
Little details rule, like the IX's on the medicine bottles and whatnot :)
This song is really great, I hope their music continues to get creepier
2019 still a banger
I saw them play this song live and it was so energetic and it sounded the same as I love and remember it, I love ice nine kills.❤️
THIS BAND IS FUCKING AMAZING!!! Goodbye SilverStein, I now welcome my new favorite band Ice Nine Kills!!!
+DarkStar7564 both are amazing
^^
everything about this song is great. the relation to the actual story, the contrast and roles the voices play, the beginning transition, the breakdown, I love everything about this song.
Absolutely fucking mindblowing, literally. WOW. just wow.
This is just gold. Heard and watched this vid back in 2016 and it's still awesome.
love it INK! never disappoint. been a massive fan since last chance to make amends and you still keep me wanting more!
woooooooooooo.......what a thrilling rush.........i am pumped
Super solid, exactly what I wanted after The Predator Becomes The Prey.
Favorite song off this album. Probably the catchiest song in 2015!!!
Holy shit. This is the best song they've ever made.
I'm addicted to the contrast of vocals and lyrics in this song! It's amazing
Fucking love this band, one of my favorite bands
that breakdown with the lyrics just gave me mad goosebumps
I'd like to suggest a video game topic for the next album!
Here are some ideas:
1. Resident Evil
2. Silent Hill
3. House of the Dead
4. Devil May Cry
5. The Evil Within
6. Bioshock 1 + 2
7. Doom
8. Mortal Kombat
9. Dead by Daylight
10. The Last of Us
Horror movie adaptations are awesome. Horror video game adaptations would be interesting. But Mortal Kombat isnt really a horror game, but still would be intriguing.
this video is dope
"Fuck my fate, just save a seat for me in Hell."
Jesus fucking Christ, INK has never disappointed me. Not once. These guys are some of the best songwriters I've ever seen in this genre.
Incredible song, by far the best off the album. It's awesome how every song on the album has a story to it. Ice Nine Kills is at it again
an acoustic version would sound lovely
Absolutely in love with Ice Nine Kills and this song. It gave me chills! They have never made one bad song before and this just adds on to the perfection they've produced
Who here in 2020 still a banger of a song
This is a goddamn masterpiece!!
Third time listening to and understand all screaming I like this xD
It helps that it's a lyric video
***** now to understand communion of the cursed....that one hard
+GamermanRPGKing that one's easy dude. :D
Best song ever. I love how they contrast the voices with the characters. I love it so much
"Im waging war on myself" I GOT THAT WAGE WAR REFERENCE
Wage War is in the band or something else... because I'm pretty sure early last year Wage War still only had a small TH-cam channel with like 200 subs.
+MrRaziza They have a pretty good following. Same amount if not more people at Wage War yesterday at warped tour than Ice Nine Kills
Jordan Anderson I wasn't talking about recently...
"because I'm pretty sure early last year Wage War still only had a small TH-cam channel with like 200 subs."
Yes, now they've grown popular because they got put up by Fearless and people loved them. But I followed them when they had one public song on TH-cam that hardly had any footing. The chances of I9K having made a reference to them before anyone really knew who they were is pretty ridiculous.
Beautiful song, beautiful voice, beautiful video, simply beautiful.
Beautiful song and beautiful lyrics
