*I absolutely love this tool!!! The first one was defective and Dewalt replaced **MyBest.Tools** More bulky than the Bosch and Makita corded palm routers I have but worth it. Nice solid base*
I have the CX3 kit, super router. Another great feature is that the later cordless Makita routers will fit the bases, so to expand the system you need only buy a body-only cordless body and a battery.
I've gotta say Alan, this is an OUTSTANDING F_KN user review video!!! You showed all the accessories and almost every bit of their use! Your delivery, video transitions, and explanations are smokn! Good job man!!! Thanks alot!
Yeah, the problem I am having is that the drive pulley wheel that is supposed to replace the collet and nut for the offset base is running into the spindle lock housing before it bottoms out on the threads on the spindle. Either I'm missing something or my spindle or the pulley wheel is out of spec.
Nice introduction. I’m searching for something to show how to fit the 2 template guides and how to use them! I’m new to this and thought this kit would be versatile to combine with some carving work.
Will the square base allow the Makita to except larger diameter round over 1/4 inch bits? I have a Bosch and a Makita. I put a round over bit in the Makita, not noticing the small diameter hole in the base, and thankful of the soft start the bit was too big for the hole in the base. I had to use my Bosch. I like the Makita but I actually thought it would fit all 1/4 inch bits. I was wrong. ~What do I do about that. was'nt expecting to buy extra parts just to round over my wood. I actually think it was was designed this way on purpose. Oh yeah. I thought I would come back and edit this. I just left Makita's website. No where is there a square base plate. Could not find one! Could you explain that please?
I just purchased this kit; VERY nice. With the 1/4" shank I am having a difficult time locating a large (say, 5/16" R) bullnose bit to put a bullnose on boards such as 1 x 6 x 12s. Any ideas on sourcing a larger bullnose bit for 1/4 shank?
From Sweden, hi Alan, where could I order the side the fence at 1:34; Plate at 3:03; Offset base at 5.43 These items are not possible to buy here in Sweden. Could you be so kind and send to me an address? I thank you in advance.
the code is 80euros. but you can get the code 40euros and buy smaller diametre rods from a local hardware shop to replace them so they fit. If you buy 2 the number adds up.
Do all the assesories from this I.e dust collection, trimming base, square base, straight guide, plunge base fit the new 18v trimmer please as I can buy this older model with every assesorie for £60 brand new and buy just the 18v trimmer for £100 If I bought the new 18v with all the bits it would be over £300 cheers in advanced
Where can I buy the optional micro adjustable side fence for the plunger base that I see you using at 4:42 on your video? What is the model number of it? I can't find it anywhere on the internet. I live in the USA.
Junktool from Makita, sounds and looks good but by using the locker the compleet house broke off. Two weeks old and no garantie.. No Makita for me any more :-(

I wonder if the plunge router base fit into my old Makita 3707F as well which is a 60.5mm diameter of the body.
could you please tell me what are the actual collet sizes which this router can accept please, aren't they 1/2" , 1/4" and 3/8" ?

Hi
Did you used to have a tool shop near Nantwich?
the difference can be the number of accessories (base) ?
Esta exelente un abrazo de Peru
Thanks for your complete and informative video! Beats Makita's product videos ;)
If I purchased the smaller kit, can I then pick up the plunge base separately later?
Hi, I did the same. I only purchased the "basic kit", and then I bought the plunge base separately. It was even cheaper than the full set. Regards
Hi, What is the Makita part number of the guide rail system at 4.56 in the video please?
