I, definitely believe what the man was saying. I was one of those girls. A cop used to come and do a date with one of my pimp’s girls every night, and he would let us know when not to be in certain hotels, because they were about to get raided. They did get raided, whenever my girl had met with that guy she told me was a cop, too. Out lives were so wild, they had no reason to make stuff up…and how else would she know that? I’m not fooling. I’m close to getting a master’s, and have worked in education, mental health and human services, as an adult. I have disabilities, and couldn’t work unskilled so I got a GED and heaps of therapy, and went to school. I had a really rough upbringing, but I had the advantage of a grandma who cared about my education, until she passed when I was 13. A lot of people didn’t. Not that I have easy now, by any means, but that’s why I’ve been able to do some meaningful things that give me hope. A lot of people don’t have any hope, and I want to help change things, so they do.

No, a business owner does NOT have to "deal with it". A business owner has every right to deny service or to deny a bathroom. They are paying the bills. They have to deal with the health issues of cleaning a bathroom that is used by everyone. Why in the world would they be stupid enough to add on more for themselves. Homelessness is sad. It's NOT everyone's fault. It's NOT everyone's job to fix homelessness. Life is not fair.

It seems like an easy challenge to address, but we lack the incentives to change our behavior. We feel good about ourselves, sure, but do we feel good as citizens? Do we feel good as Americans? Are we better off? Is America?

Very true. My great uncle came back from Vietnam and was never the same. Couldn't live a normal life or keep a normal job anymore. He lost his condo and ended up homeless until he died. Family tried taking him in, but he just couldn't conform to the normalcy. Too much mental trauma (PTSD). 😢 They did cover a few medical bills he had at the VA, but he never got the help he TRULY needed after that. RIP Uncle James ❤

Very few people care until it's their own kin and even then a lot of the time they simply wash their hands of them. So many people view the homeless/mentally ill/drug addicted as a nuisance at best, and literal trash to be discarded at worst. This collective apathy and lack of compassion is exactly why this all happened in the first place. And it's only going to get worse, probably much worse with COL skyrocketing, good jobs unattainable, lack of adequate health care, society's general malaise - all while the population continues to grow. What are we going to do with these people as their numbers continue to grow and we have no way to care for them??? If people don't like the situation now, just wait as it continues to get worse.

American cities plagued with homeless are going to have to learn that they must spend money on these people. Food, shelter, hygiene & services including medical & psychological. The situation is only going to get worse as time moves on. The poor & disadvantaged will always be with us. So many can't cope with the modern world. No education? You're in trouble here in the U.S.A. Those in government refuse to come to grips with a very real human problem.

She is very pretty. I think she is being gang stalked. I saw a Hispanic father and son come up behind them with dirty looks and then just stood very close on their cell phones. Then when she started talking about killing someone, the boy smiled, and they both left. I think the corrupt authorities are mad that she has sense not to get involved with the rich yuppies who come down to the streets looking for easy sex.
I think that they do have thugs running all these homeless camps and street services and they let them pray on the undesirables who don't kiss up and who have integrity. They probably wouldn't report a death unless they had to, so there are probably homeless being killed off unaccounted for left and right.
I think the best way to fly under the radar is to not have tons of gear with you. You want to kind of blend in and look normal. If you can find a place to stash your things, like a locker somewhere, that is better. If you so much as have a large beach bag in a city, someone might think you are homeless and kick you out of a restaurant.
I can see these bicycle cops just harass these people incessantly. No, she isn't okay, she is on a sidewalk with nowhere else to go.

That public safety officer was spittin truth! My heart goes out to the homeless people on the street in San Diego. In my home state we don't like people living on the street no matter what. Like I get that the men in charge in the city want women in an easily accessible position, but in my home state the men are a bit more respectful than to plot on the homeless women like that. I always wondered why would anyone in the city management be okay with people pooping on the street and sleeping in their own poo? Okay because they want to swoop in and look like a hero. Wow that's villainous. We don't like that in my state. In the state I was born in (Connecticut) and the state that I currently live in (Virginia), it's either you stay in a shelter, hotel room, or you have your own living arrangements. There are small encampments in heavily forested areas (rumor has it). But it's not so city officials can pick up women and have fun. It's because they are merciful on the people that can't quite make it work in the shelters or hotels. Women for the most part will almost always get a hotel room from the state or a bed at a shelter. Because if you want to pick up a lady, I'd be willing to bet they would rather have her safe away from like flying roaches and/or bears. Like that is nasty sinister to design a system where you plot on women and purposely make them sleep on the sidewalk.
