Actually that is NOT true. Back in the early 80's Ocean Yachts hit the market with a storm mostly due to their interiors that appealed to wives. I opted for Bertram for other reasons.
0:33 "every day, we strive to build a better boat." Well...except the '97 to 2003 models. 5:30 "We don't want to build a Chevy, we want to build a Mercedes." Mercedes are notorious for steep drop in value and horrendous maintenance and reliability issues as they age. That's probably not the best marketing comparison. I say these things as an admirer of Viking.
Very true on all aspects. They need to edit the 5:30 sentence out of the video or.....change Mercedes to Toyota Tundra 5.7 4WD which is a boat load more quality..
Just because they have gone high tech in manufacturing doesn't mean the end product is equal to their commercial. Just look how many used ones are on the market including buddies 72', who left Bertram only because they didn't offer the size.
Viking is the finest production boat on the market and they are the ones who started the nice luxurious interiors for women to enjoy being offshore
Well said

Both chevy and mercedes are known for unreliability. I would assume he was talking about the great handling and high quality like a Mercedes.

@@tedfox2683 I agree so much with that one! A workhorse of a truck that will last forever and looks great!
These boats are my “mark on the wall” I am going to my tail off to
own a 53 one day
Love em dude

Why aren’t you coring with foam instead of Balsa?
Don't they use both?
Exactly why my next boat will be a Viking = Love my Bertram, but there is no substitute for Viking quality!
i wish i even had a sportfisher.
