Dear Lord, this sounds so much like how a real bumble bee flight would sound. Being that the point, though, I think it's awesome they played it that way.
could you imagine how hard it is to rehearse that and to get it sound together? i already have problems doing that with a quintet... and there are like 8 pianos? CRAZY!!! 5 STARS!
Wow, so many legends on one stage!!! I love it!!! I wanna see more!!!! Have you noticed that Kissin always wears white suits and Lang Lang almost always wears traditional Chinese looking clothing?
No.They get together just in this last section of the whole concert,if you have the DVD movie, it's contains of many songs, which every songs can be played by different number of players,4 pianist,2 pianist, etc, and for this one is 8 pianist. And of course this just not a concert for piano, but there are a group of violin players too.I mentioned 8 pianist right there.but actually there are the other pianist that's not get into this songs to play together with that 8 pianist(Martha Argerich, etc)
My very fav piece of music-thanks for posting. You should hear a N.O. blues piano player tackle it(James Booker), that was also wild! Alas, wish I had captured it. Thanks for Nostradamus stuff too.
I am so amazed to find someone who agrees with me about Lang Lang. I've never been able to stand him, or more specifically his . . . attitude, while playing.
well, when you play the piano, usually the notes/finger positions and arm positions are memorised and are played subconsciously. this is most commonly seen when you play a fast piece. However you still need to be conscious to make sure you play the right notes... but when you have a piece that you can play very well and easily, all you need is a small glimpse of the sheet a couple times per page
these guys should team up and play some of rachmaninoff's etudes-tableaux, or his prelude in c# minor.... and wait till like the end of the world to perform it....
For lsbrother, sorry if my comment below is got some mistakes on grammar, because i'm still learn English ^^ And Sorry, do you ask When and for what? I think it's on 2003. But i don't know for what this concert for..haha
This was great; the only thing I don't like is langlang. I don't like his expression while playing.. It's like a big game to him (playing the piano I mean), I love evgeny kissin though, he's really good. Thanks fr uploading.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WHEN FEMALE MAESTROS LIKE MARTHA ARGERICH, VALENTINA, YUJA WANG, ETSUKO HIROSHE, KHATIA & OTHERS WL HAVE THEIR TURN HAHAHAHAHA!!!
I saw Lang Lang in concert in my city, and it left me wholy unimpressed, it's not even his attitude, it's his whole interpretation of peices..he seems to prefer showcasing his undoubted talent as apposed to succumbing to the music.
Kissin AND Lang Lang???
WOW....
wow quel emsemble magnifique j aime quand les pianiste jouent emsemble!

more like flight of the swarm of bumblebees
Given the nature of the song if one pianist missed a tempo or a note this could go very wrongly. This is simply incredible and so well played
Its weird how many pianos are playing one piece, as just one piano can play multiple sounds at once. It sounds awesome!
Fantastic!
