Thank-you for sharing your video. The video was well done and fun to watch. For your viewers, the bus ride from the airport to the hotels is about an hour and a half long.
The weather in January is definitely hot, but sometimes there can be cold fronts and you will need a jacket, but not often... unfortunately the weather is unpredictable anytime of the year
Was the sea shallow here? It was shallow at The Sanctuary at Grand Memories. Did they have carts to take you around? Would you recommend? Thanks for the video.
Yes I totally recommend... the water is very clear, and it's shallow, it doesn't get deep right away, it's very progressive and it's suitable even for none swimmers and kids... there are carts that mainly take people to or from their rooms/lobby with luggage (checking in or out) but everything is within a 5 minute walk anywhere in the resort, so you really don't need the carts to drive you around...but, if you have mobility issues, it can be accommodated and arranged by calling reception in advance for pickup
@@sigmadeltahomevideo Thanks. Everything seems so far. I am having a bit of a problem if I walk for a long time. I can't be doing all that walking all day. At Playa Pesquero and The Sanctuary. The cart service was available at all times. I was just thinking of trying another resort although I am happy with those two out of seven. I always go to a new resort to try them out.
@@islandgirl3330 actually things aren't as far at this resort... I've been to the Playa Pasquero, and it's a great resort, but way too much walking (and yes the cart service is definitely required there)... this one, the Playa Cayo Santa Maria, is nowhere near as big... I promise you, from the lobby to the furthest building only takes me 5 minutes walking. I've also visited (on day tours) some of the much newer hotels in the area and they are also built quite large and takes forever to get to the beach without the cart service... this one is just perfect in my opinion, and if you use google maps and zoom in (use satellite view) you will get a very good idea of the distances
Hey do you know the title of the song the guy is playing on the stage with the sax? I Heard that song many times on my last trip but I didn't have shazam lol
there used to be flights in the past...since Thomas Cook went under, seems like nobody else has taken over the route... also, the last time i was there with a planeload of Brits, many of them complained that they were mislead regarding the quality of the place *Important notice: 4 stars in Cuba is not the same as 4 stars in Europe or North America or other westernized Caribbean locations... not even close - one needs to visit Cuba with a very open mind

Which hotel is this? Did they have nightly entertainment? The Michael Jackson show looks awesome! The beach is stunning.
