Yes, it is his father, who came to see him by surprise, he traveled from Kazahistan, just to see him. At the end of the video, he comes out when Dimash realizes that his father is there, and when they go down they give each other a beautiful hug.

Hello ladies, I know you already reacted to Dimash singing SOS, but you should check out the verstion of SOS from the Slavic Bazaar 2018. It is slightly different in parts and you get to hear the low notes again, plus his facial expressions are worth the watch by themselves.

That was Dimash's Father in the audience. Dimash did not know he was there. It was a surprise. He later said he would not have been as flirtatious during his performance if he knew his dad was in the audience. Lol
His dad, Dimash did not know he was there. A longer version shows Dimash first see his dad at the end of the concert, you could see a huge smile and surprised look on his face.

Dimash's dad wasn't supposed to be there, but he surprised Dimash! If you watch til the end it shows Dimash thanking the band and when he turns back to the audience he sees his dad, freezes for a second, and then smiles! Such a great moment! Btw, Dimash is very tall! 6'3 of pure talents and gorgeousness! ❤
The man they kept showing is Dimash's dad Kanat. Dimash didn't know that his father was going to be there. It was a surprise for Dimash. And he later joked that if he knew that his dad was there, he wouldn't have flirted with the audience that much ;)))

I Dears/Martians that man was his father Mr. Kanat. He flew to CN to support him, it was a surprise also for Dimash because he didn't knew that his father was there . The moment Dimash saw his father is just a beautiful moment. Love your reactions 💞💞
Yes,That guy is Dimash's father. You must have seen his photo in his interview video. The other contestants and audience were shocked because he went higher and higher with every runs (3 times, two times more than Vitas). This was episode2, next episode3 is " Show must go on" by Queens.( please don't judge his English in that performance as it was his first song in English, which he could understand little but couldn't speak then). He is 6'3" btw. Thank you.

Thank you Regina and Sabrina. This performance was how I was first introduced to Dimash as "The best voice in the world" and became an immediate fan. I can't explain the effect Dimash has on me but I, like many dears, became obsessed. Dimash is my drug of choice.

That was Dimash’s father, yes. He had arrived from Kazakhstan just before the performance, so he didn’t let Dimash know so as not to mess up his mood. If you watch the longer version where Dimash bows and thanks everyone, you’ll see him suddenly pause as he recognizes his dad; then he walks off the stage and hugs his father and lifts him off the floor repeatedly!
By the way, did you realize that Dimash was modulating half a tone higher and higher each time? Which is why the other contestants were freaking out and the audience was going wild!

Great reaction!!! This performance was Dimash just having fun while dazzling the audience with his high notes. He also skipped on technicalities with his performance of Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk". And yes, papa Kanat was very pleased with is performance!!!

For your info, Dimash has just released these 2 videos in his official TH-cam channel today.
That was his father, and Kanat is 5'11" and Dimash is 6'3". His height is from his mother's side of the family...His mother is 5'10". There is only one other video where Dimash sings Opera 2, After that second time, Vitas' ( who wrote the song , and who is famous for it) management team wrote him to cease and desist performing it or they will file a lawsuit...
You missed the hug and greeting from his father who came to surprise him... Dimash was so homesick at that point( he had never been away from home for more than a few days at a time) that he told his father that he wanted to home, and Kanat said that he is there to support him. That's the point that Kanat (by the time the Singer competition was over, and DImash's career was ramping up) quit his job to take over management of Dimash's career.

Thank you for discussing a bit about Dimash's height. I see him so very tall. Got everything from remarkable vocals to great looks and that height. He got everything. Kanat I believe did the right decision to manage his own son's career. He knows better.
Not yet. Few more months down the road only then Kanat took over as Dimash's manager. During this performance as well as few other more performances, Alpamy Sharimov was still his manager then.
Dimash father was in the audience.....doing the fist pump. He surprised Dimash with that visit. Dimash won this round too.
Original singer is Vitas. But Dimash modulated three tines highrr than Vitas and injected some staccatos into this song/performance too. Unfortunately after Singer 2017, Dimash was banned from ever performing this song again by Vitas for out singing him.

If you like the more playful Dimash I recommend you watch his concerts... London was great in that respect (there is unfortunately no official release of that concert but there are several fan cams.) but I think the best one is the rainy one at Mt Emei Music Festival. Highly recommend you watch that.
I love you both ladies reaction, I wish Dimash can sing this song more in his future concerts. It was a brilliant and adorable performance he did 2017 competition.
He performed this song one more time (two days later) after this episode performance in another Chinese show. Then he didn't performed again because Vitas legal team put a legal ban on Dimash performing Vitas songs. Later they removed the ban, but Dimash being a gentleman, never performed this again.
I believe Dimash won't sing Vitas' songs anymore due to the past unpleasant history. It was all for singing competition. Now Dimash has more his own great hit songs. He doesn't need to cover others' songs anymore.

Wow! Thank you for the information. Now I understand why he never sing it again. One day, vitas will regret the decision they made against Dimash. He would have been a big beneficial good for them. DIMASH might be a humble person, but it does affect his feelings to trust them.

so this was the 2nd episode of competition. he did not know his dad was there, he surprised him after performance :) they had a big hug that is in some videos of this. His dad travels with him a lot.

The one in audience is his dad...he is also a singer and music producer.. he was with him to support him, he did for him a surprise coming to his competition while he was performing on SOS. GIRLS l really love all of ur reactions. Please check "Confessa/Diva dance" , also Tribute for MJ fm Arnau concert. U will see a different Dimash. He is the biggest fan of MJ and he follows a lot of MJ steps and ideology and principles...he uses a lot of expressions movements and style of MJ on stage...

Opera 2 was the first video I ever watched of Dimash....well over 2 years ago...been an avid fan ever since....

If/when you guys react to Unforgettable Day, I hope you will consider reacting to the Arnau concert's version too. Like, the Gakku performance is a must-see, but I feel like you two would truly appreciate the Arnau version. It's not as flashy, but the audience interaction.... whooo boy.
Y’all should check out the full episodes of Singer 2017 - there is so much great stuff in the episodes. It’s such an awesome show - all the contestants that year were so great! There are English subs - and the moment when Dimash came off the stage he picked up his dad. He did know his dad was there beforehand tho bc they show footage of them walking toward the stage together - unless they cut that and put it before his performance in the episode...
There’s also a great video of Dimash performing this song for a Kazakh variety show when he was younger. They made funny lyrics and he cracked up the whole time. 😂

Sabrina, the man in the suit is his father. In case you missed it, at the end part Dimash went a key higher 3 times & he used staccato once. He went higher than Vitas ever did. I asked before but PLEASE react to Dimash & Victor Ma Earth Song which is a song from his idol MJ & PLEASE react to Dimash Phantacity where every time I watch it I imagine being the woman he is with & loves. In Singer 2017 episode 13 Dimash & Laure tribute to MJ it shows Dimash's father & mother 3 times in the front row & during the medley Laure is wearing a cute pair of yellow heels & Dimash plays 1 of the 7 instruments he can play. 🎶👱♀️😀💕

The Chinese audience, who votes on the performances, were familiar with this song. Vitas wrote the song to demonstrate his vocal range, but when he sang it, he only modulated it up a semi-tone. Dimash did that, and then kept going higher and higher. 2 things that might be be good to watch before Ep.3 "The Show Must Go On", would be The Lion Band Ep.1 "Lion", and since you've seen his father, "Dearest Mother", which is an older video where he sings with both his parents to his grandmother, who is in the audience. Like I commented before, if the 30 min. behind the scenes video you were referring to was one of the ones I sent, I would choose the shorter 11 min. one to react to ("Dimsh Kudaibergen - First Impressions - all the wonderful moments") if you want to react to one. The longer one has most of the same material, (but omits some other stuff) with more of the Jackie Chan meeting, which Dimash talked about in the interview. I think it adds to the experience of seeing the members of the Lion Band backstage, if you know what they do. B.J. said she liked that song, which is an energetic introduction to the band.
