- Well, "hate" is a strong word. I can't say I really hate any perfumes but, as requested, here are some popular ones I dislike, give me a headache, smell weird on me, or just aren't my cup of tea.

I really enjoy it when reviewers say why they like or dislike a fragrance. That’s extremely helpful. What some reviewers like might be something I don’t and the other way around.

I smelled Coco Mademoiselle and immediately fell in love with its rich auntie vibes. I put it on at home and immediately had a headache from the patchouli! I now use it as a room spray. I can wear the Privee L'eau flanker though
This will be my grad school graduation present to myself. I love the intense.
A few fragrances I totally dislike:
-Oud Satin Mood Extrait (I don’t mind the smell, but it gives me instant headaches.)
-Tom Ford’s Sour Peach 🤢
-Delina (that lychee note doesn’t sit well on my skin - too cloying )
-CH Very Good Girl (this reminds too much of Delina, too cloying)
-Nina Ricci Rose Extase (too cloying)
-Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense -

I agree with you on Chanel no 5, La vie est belle and Libre and Delina isn’t as much of a love as I expected based on reviews. I also don’t hate any of them, I think there’s very few fragrances I strongly dislike or hate, but Chanel no 5 smells too mature (my mom used to wear it) to my nose, La vie est belle is too sweet, Libre is just not my preferred style of fragrance and Delina can be a little bit too much sometimes, I prefer the softer and prettier Delina La Rosée 😊
I always enjoy your videos. It's interesting how some fragrances that are trendy or well liked won't appeal to everyone and that's ok. It's nice to know you're not alone when you don't care for a popular scent. Thanks!

Oops! I made a mistake. During filming I lost my count and completely skipped over one. Instead of refilming I thought I'd just add it here. Guerlain Shalimar Eau de Parfum. One of the most popular perfumes of all time, yet I can't get along with it. I do appreciate that it smells heavenly on other people but the opening is VERY sharp on my skin with the civet and leather notes and the drydown is far too powdery for my liking. I enjoy and own a few flankers of Shalimar but the original EDP is definitely one I'm not comfortable wearing. 😊
I don't like popular designer perfumes on me... La Vie est Belle, Black Opium, Coco Mademoiselle (also has that metallic smell on me), Flowerbomb etc. I'm not a girly girl and they just don't suit me

Chanel perfumes are definitely overrated because of the name. Can not stand those fragrances & they make me want to vomit😝😜😁
Have you tried Bijou Romantique Etat Libre d'Orange? I find it very similar to Shalimar edp, but much cozier and more wearable.
Have you tried the Soufflé flanker of Shalimar? I think it’s a more wearable version. I never say NEVER. Some scents take time to appreciate, and our tastes evolve. There are those that I despised back in the day when I was in my teens but have grown to appreciate as I’ve gotten older and my preferences evolved. Right now, I think that I’m at a stage when I’m broadly content with my collection, and the ones I recently purchased are either for the artistry (unique or masterful style and structure of the perfume) or nostalgic memories (though alas some have indeed been reformulated or watered down).
I heard Carat was like walking into a florist shop and opening the fridge. A cool floral. Nice to hear your reaction. I will try the travel size first. I will have to say I was a little surprised you did not like No5. That is the best luxury scent on the market.

I don't like pefumes which contain caramel, praline, chocolate, blackcurrat syrup and similar sweet ingredients.
Most of Chanel perfumes smell strange on my skin so i avoid them.
I agree with u about La vie est belle, i would add more: This is her (Zadig & Voltair), Yves Saint Laurent-Cinema, Prada-Candy, Armani-Si intense, Carolina Herrera-Good girl... etc etc.

I have to agree with your selection. I hate most Chanel fragrances including the iconic Chanel #5, probably with the exception of Chance or Fraiche. La Vie est Belle is just too much, I don’t know how someone else could honestly say that you smell great without being nauseous. I have tried Delina many times to see if I change my mind about it and everytime i’m like, “nope!’.
I dislike a lot of scents (actually, the majority of scents I try, I dislike) but when I think “hate” there are two that immediately come to mind, Le Labo Santal 33 and Annick Goutal Ambre Fetiche. Those two I have physical reactions to.
I agree with many of the fragrances you mentioned, including Libre, La Vie, Delina, Chanel No. 5 and Coco Mademoiselle! I agree we need balance, we can't all love every single fragrance! It's good to have differing opinions out there. Thanks for sharing! Also, that lip color is gorgeous on you! Would you mind sharing what it is please? ☺️

Funny, but Chanel coco was my signature scent for about 3 years. Now I find it overpowering and borderline obnoxious on my skin, but I enjoy it when I smell it from the bottle.
YSL Libre… “intense” I’ve found tolerable but it becomes incredibly soapy once it settles down. I’ve tried to love Libre so many times but I just can’t 😅
Would love to see a video of 10 perfumes that are unique and different. I’m always on the hunt for something different.

I can't do Delina either! Also, I have NEVER understood the No.5 hype. Didn't like it when My Mom and Grandma wore it. Still don't!
I agree regarding Chanel #5. I do enjoy Chanel's Cristalle and # 19. Mitsuko smells straight up like ginger/ pumpkin pie, that's all I get from Mitsuko. IDK if the sample I purchased was old. 🤷♀️
I agree with your takes on some of these. Coco Mademoiselle is tolerable at best in cold weather, at least on my skin, and stinky when it's warmer. Libre and Joy are meh, LVEB is gloppy. Delina could be worn sarcastically--by someone who has a lot more cash than I do. On the other hand, I think Carat and Pulp are nice in the heat, White Patchouli is elegant, and No. 5 is nice if you remember that it can be sexy.
So you're right that some scents can be lovely but just not for us personally. I often sniff something in a store and say, "this is a nice perfume...for someone else."
Lol I have and love 6 out of the 10 you mentioned 🙈, I've noticed we don't share the same taste in perfume (in general) but I'm always drawn to your videos so it's definitely your personality 😉
About the perfumes that I can't stand baccarat rouge, TF soleil blanc and oud satin mood 🤮

Lveb is a beast and I have to do a single spray walk through the mist or it’s too much. I love the lotion though.
I totally get why people don’t like libre. The reason I love it is the whiffs of honey that I think is coming from the orange blossom. If I smell it directly I don’t get the honey but it’s in the air around me throughout the day.
On a different note I like how your channel is growing so fast now. You’ve always been one of my faves.

Libre wasn’t a love or like for me, at first. I sprayed it on cotton puffs and would smell it off an on for a few days and it grew on me. I now consider it one of my core perfumes. Coincidentally I wore it today and started off with VS Bare Vanilla and then sprayed Libre over the vanilla. It seemed to soften and round out the fragrance. I have a travel size of Cartier’s Carat, but I never have worn it - not sure why. I need to revisit it. Otherwise, I pretty much agree with your choices.
I get a headache too from La vie est Belle. But I get a lot of compliments on this perfume.
I used to hate Delina too and didn’t understand why on earth people loved it…out of nowhere I absolutely LOVE it and have bought it but wish I had got a bigger bottle 😂🤣

i also can't stand coco mad, no 5, LVEB.. all the poisons from dior, all "orchids" from tom ford, anything patchouli heavy, tobacco vanille smells like chapstick to me.. i refuse to try parfums de marly bc it's just outrageously expensive for how synthetic most of their scents come off..
i tried Libre and was confused by it.. at first it was headache inducing to me my grandmother AND mother.. but then i smelled my shirt again before i did laundry and was really taken with how it smelled.
I really dislike La Vie est Belle and Coco Mademoiselle on me, although I like it on other people, I love Libre!, but I absolutely hate Givenchy's "Tres Irresistible" line, Gaultier's perfumes in general except the classique and Jimmy Choo's perfume is perverse. Yuck. I also wanted to love Chanel's Gabrielle, but I really don't like it...

I happen to love white patchouli! It’s one white floral fragrance that truly stands out! And I don’t get the paint smell 😅 I agree with you on the others though!
My husband bought me white patchouli ….it was a big no for me …it smelled like a lovely powdery new born baby ……but wearing a dirty nappy …that patchouli pulled very dirty on my skin, give it to my friend, 😊
Before watching TH-cam fragrance videos , my favorites were ysl opium, ysl libre , delina, Delina exclusif pure poison,hypnotic poison , jpg La belle , La belle intense , later I found out these are popular. You were very respectful towards it. Fragrances are very subjective , every body chemistry is different , nose, preference everything. It be weird if we all wore only popular scents

I have the same travel size as you and I just can't seem to want to buy the full size. Which is funny because I have the Delina shower gel and cream and I have full size of exclusif and La Rosee. 🤷 So strange! 😅
Yes - White Patchouli has been discontinued for awhile. It is a peculiar frangrance but I like it and I get compliments when I wear it. I don’t know how because I know it’s a weird scent. lol
Nope to Shalimar - that leather note is bleck. Nope to No 5 - those aldehydes suffocate me. J’Adore can get lost too.
I grew to like Libre as I went through my sample - it’s mostly the ambergris in the drydown that I love. Delina is disappointing. Very light to me. I’m drawn to heavier fragrances.
Totally agree with the Libre, I like the flankers (especially the edt and the intense), but the original is just NOT for me. On the skin and also on a piece of paper.
I love Libre edt only.
I like Coco Madamoiselle but it seems a little bit pungent and citrusy on me.
La vie est belle I've been loving it till it's actual formulation.

Today I’m wearing Emozione by Salvatore Ferragamo. Spray lightly and it’s a beauty.

Talking about hairsprays/hair products , are there any that you would suggest for fly-aways and frizz?
Hey! I don't use anything special for that, just a regular drugstore hairspray works fine for me :)

When I first got into perfumes about 10 mo ths ago, I was looking up all the popular fragrances and what was well-liked by everybody. I went to Sephora to smell a ton of the ones I had heard about and was so disappointed when i hated most of them. They just smelled like that "generic perfume" smell when walking through malls. Coco Mademoiselle (I got the dossier dupe) and I cant stand it same with Lady Million. They come off very mature and old lady in her garden to me lol, I think the patchouli is definitely not for my nose.

Irresistible EDP, La Belle, D&G The One Intense, Mon Guerlain, LVEB and Nina Ricci L'extase are not for me. Girl of Now Shine was headache inducing. For now, I've stop blind buying. I realized sometimes I test a lot of perfumes in one go and since I smell so good (maybe the mix is so good), thinking a specific brand smells good but ended buying the wrong one.
I love watching fragrance videos but I have to be careful and take note of the weather in the country of the reviewer and taste of the reviewer or if someone says it's a summer perfume (it doesn't necessarily apply to tropical) as weather, skin chemistry and our personal preferences still differs. Keep testing and be patient. Love the content 😍

I'm with you on so many of these! Particularly Delina, LVEB, and Narciso. As with you, I don't hate them, they're just not for me. My least favorite popular perfume is Chloe edp. I dislike everything about it.

I cant wear white or yellow florals so I dont wear a lot of the popular fragrances. I really dont mind bc I recognize my scent profile and now I wear almost everything I own, not many mistakes anymore. Most of the loud patchouli's and gourmands which people struggle with, are my favorites.....lol. My skin seems to respond to the stronger perfumes in a good way such as Angel, LouLou, Killian Love Dont be Shy, Kenzo L'Elephant, etc

Can you recommend some of the best chypre fragrances? I've tried smelling most of the Chanels to realize that I really dislike chypre, but I still hope I get to find just one in this category to like.
Guess what? Your list mirrors mine. I can’t bring myself to love or like any of the fragrances you mentioned. I remember loving Shalimar as a child but can’t stand it now. The Milliseme Tonka is nice and I love the vanilla one. I agree these are Not bad fragrances just some don’t work for us.
I agree with No. 5, and La vie est belle. Also, I dislike Baccarat rouge and all fragrances with similar DNA, Idole, and Alien. Well, everybody is different, and that's beautiful. At least we don't smell the same 😊

I love Chanel CoCo Noir. I am not a fan of most Dior perfumes. One of my least favorites that people like is Bond No 9 Greenwich village. It doesn’t last on me and only smells okay 👍🏾. I have been experimenting with mixing/layering it.

Anything Cartier, Creed, Mugler, Goutal, Oscar...no can do with my chemistry. ..Everything Chanel smells the same on me. All Tom Ford goes "waxy"! And nothing from Le Labo sticks over 30 minutes.. Agree. I cannot stand Cartier and find Creed a bit too harsh. I also cannot stand Byredo (I tested quite a few and they are all awful). Don't like Tom Ford either.

I agreed with all of your choices. I have an EXTREME sensitivity to a certain musk, but I don't know what kind of musk it is...screechy, burning, harsh. it's overwhelming, downright painful and it seems to be hidden in a lot of perfumes, especially expensive niche ones, so I've wasted a lot of money on blind buys. For example, I just bought an expensive sample of Gritti's Duchessa because I love cherry scents and it sounded amazing. Unfortunately, it was a musk bomb, even though musk is not listen on the official perfume site, Fragrantica or in any reviews (I always try to research as best I can). I could have wept as the rest of it smelled wonderful, but the musk was overwhelming. After the dry down it was so all consuming I had to wash my arm. I wish I knew how to identify what type of musk I have a problem with, not that it would help with those perfumes where that ingredient is not listed. I don't understand why it gets left off the pyramid a lot.

oh wow ! does the musk in narciso rodriguez fragrances trigger this too? certain patchouli perfumes for some weird reason make me smell a sharp screechy dirty musk which causes a a lot of perfumes to be a huge no for me it makes me sad lol

I agree with some of these (Libre) and feel differently about others (Delina), but if we all liked the same things, it would be boring. I can't deal with Shalimar EDT, but I love the extrait. Have you ever tried the OG Chanel No. 5, the extrait? It smells very different to the EDP to my nose. The extrait is my favorite No. 5. One I was sure I would love based on the notes was PDM Athalia. I have tried multiple times and it just does not work for me.
I haven't tried the extrait...hopefully I can one day :)
Came here to say this. All concentrations of No. 5 are different. I can't stand the EPD, the EDT is just ok but the Parfum extrait is divine!
My most "hated" fragrance is Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani. It's not that it's a bad fragrance for men, it's just that it's SOOO oversaturated on the market and reminds me of every guy who doesn't understand variety or taste, so this is what he picks up to feel like he's in the know.
My chemistry already is hit or miss with marine fragrances (ideally I do woody, amber, oud, and clean musk scents). Acqua Di Gio's quality level just isn't as good as would be a Floris London BERGAMOTTO DI POSITANO or NEROLI VOYAGE. Even something like a House of Creed VIRGIN ISLAND WATER or NÉROLI SAUVAGE or a Mizensir BLUE GIN would be a much better choices as alternatives.
oh my, we are fragrance twins. I hate those too, except Delina. I like Delina, I did win a full bottle so don't know if that swayed my opinion. I did like the Delina Exclusif better. I gave up on Chanel until I smelled the exclusives......I love Sycamore and Misia and a few others that I can't remember the names of. I do not like Angel. I love that star bottle and have tried all the flankers and still don't own the star bottle.

I'm struggling to use Versace Eros EDP. I accidentally bought instead of the EDT. Too powdery.
Delina is definitely not my type of scent, due to the hype I went to go smell it and I was quiet disappointed. The exclusif was little better, but I think I prefer more complex blend with some smoothness or depth to it.
I do not like Gucci Bloom🙁
Too too sweet, can't stand that "honeysuckle" type smell that lingers all day long🙁

I feel the same way about Libre. Love the intense, hate the original. I got a large decant of no5 and tried to see the good in it but failed. I just dislike it so much! I did try the L'Eau and find it just OK.
I do not care for Libre at all. I've tried so many times...I simply do not care for the scent. It does not have to "not work" on my skin for me to just not care for it. I do however, love LVEB! :)
Mademoiselle, Libre, Delina, La Vie Est Belle, and White Patchouli are also dislikes for me. I'd also add Baccarat Rouge, Womanity, Flamenco, Sahara Noir and White in Love to the list. My husband also loves Chanel No.5.
One of the perfumes which don’t work for me is Scherzo by Miller Harris, although I like many of ther MH perfumes. I heard that it is the most popular one from the house, but not my cup of tea.
La Vie est Belle and Delina also did not work for me. Chanel isn't my favorite, but I like Coco and Coromondel(I need to sample some of their newer releases). And I didn't like Paco Rabanne Olympia, A Lab on Fire California Snow, Kilian Love, Bond no. 9 Spring Fling and Zoologist Seahorse. And high on my list to sample is YSL Libre Intense
I’m not crazy about Coco Mad either. Something about many Chanel scents come across as dry, boring, dated….idk. There are a few I love to death but idk…Coco Mad doesn’t wow me and the patchouli….I don’t like it. I don’t like Libre either. Sometimes when lavender & vanilla mix they smell medicinal. Neither one f the perfumes I mentioned are BAD, they just aren’t for me. I’m not super crazy about rose fragrances oud, or fruitchouli’s.
I don't vibe with Delina either... it smells to me like those pink musky chalky sweets from back in the day.... Yeah you can miss me there.
I agree: Chanels, most of them; La vie est belle, then the popular Mon Guerlains.
The choking aspect of Delina is definitely the incense for me lol it’s just a lot going on.

For the la V I've smelled it before and found it too basic, for coco M I love it so much but I don't wear it often. Hate on me scents/ or their nasty smelling to me are, Black opium, by the fireplace, good girl, vanilla 28/hatred there lol, delina/ deep hatred, love don't be shy/yucckkkk

Have you ever tried „Figment“ from Amouage? It’s absolutely atrocious for me :( I blind-buy it and regret so much. Don’t know what to do with the bottle and wouldn’t gift it anyone LOL I’d like to see you commenting on some of Amouage. I like Epic and Gold. Its fragrances aren’t bad it’s just sometimes it’s absolutely overwhelming I decided not to buy anymore and also because it’s so overpriced, it’s not worth it.
I blind bought Ralph Lauren Blue for women, because I was so sure I would like it and had my mind set on it for months! And when I finally came over it at TJ maxx I had to get it. But it literally smells like soap bubble water, it's extremely sharp and the only note I can detect is lily of the valley, which I am not a fan of. Super disappointed.
This is the easiest list for me. I absolutely do not like chanel no.5, Dior Addict, pure poison, Narciso Poudre and Alien in all its glory 🙄🙄. I don't know, they're all super mature and musky to my nose, must be the white florals.
Anyhow, on the other hand, absolutely love Libre in the Intense, la vie est belle l'eclat, and Coco mademoiselle intense; some of my favorite designer perfumes for the winter🥰.
I have mixed feelings about Delina, it can be abit much sometimes, especially the initial spray, but it does dry down beautifully if you don't over spray it .....
I dislike No 5, la vie eat belle, libre, miss Dior, black Opium. But the one I really HATE is si and all it’s flankers.
On the fence with Delina.... it's like old lady but fresh flowers at the same time. The rest I agree. Especially YSL....it's a no for that one
Yes Byredo Pulp smells like overripe fruits, rotten fruits yet I love it so much 😂
Unfortunately, I don't like the new Paradoxe by Prada, anything that has similar vibes to it. Too sweet, I prefer clean fresh airy scents.
Yes I am dissapointed with ysl libre , it is so hype on IG so I bought 100ml, For me I dont like the smell
Dont care for La vie est belle, Libre edp, mademoiselle either.. I can appreciate the smell, but they dont take me anywhere 😊
I dont like the smell of Delina it smells bitter for me but when i wear it, I get compliments which i dont get 😅 i cant smell what other people smell to me.. so i only wear it when i like to get compliments lol
I like the smell of Coco Mademoiselle, but it gives me a head ache. Fortunately, I can wear Creed's Wind Flowers so I can still get the scent I like without the pain. Unfortunately, wind flowers is almost 3 times the price of the Chanel.

@@DeliciousDelights Truth! I bought it for me, but it has this medicinal scent, Ben Gay type of scent. I think it's awful, but my husband like those wintergreen type of scents, he likes it so I gave it to him.
The original Mademoiselle is instant headache. Burns my nose.
La Vie Est Belle is a scrubber for me. "Drowning" is exactly how I described this. Hard to breathe. Same thing with those face slapping Victorias Secret and Britney Spears perfumes. Chanel 5. I don't like the parfum, but I love the toilette. There's a big scent difference in the levels for me.

5:27 I don’t like Libre either. It smells “old” to me, in the sense that it’s been sitting around too long as has gone sour. Like it rotted in the bottle.

Yeah I also don't care for Libre, Coco Mad, Joy and Chanel No. 5. Though I could at least tolerate Joy and Coco Mad, the others 2 no way! And for some reason I'm anosmic to La Vie est Belle after the first spritz. So I really couldn't say on that one. I do like Delina, however it's not a love. The others I just haven't tried. Thanks for sharing!

@@DeliciousDelights Haha. Yeah maybe so. I was really surprised honestly. Because I had heard about if for a long time before finally getting it and trying it and I had heard it was super potent. So I was expecting this beast mode performance. Then I spray it, and on the initial spray (while it's in the air) I'll smell it for a few seconds, but after that I get nothing! I tried multiple times with it but finally gave up. So weird! Fortunately it's the only perfume I'm asnomic too. Though I will say that if I'm going to have a perfume I have a hard time smelling after awhile, it will be a basic sweet or vanilla one. Probably because i I wear gourmands the most and so my nose gets used to those notes. Whereas if I pick a gourmand with something a little different in it (like Kilians Kissing which has the added Lily of the valley and slightly green notes, or Love don't be shy with the orange blossom note I don't wear often.) I find I have an easier time smelling it on myself.

I genuinely dislike Delina and yet I adore Delina Extrait. It's such a different smell to my nose that I can hardly believe they are related. It's night and day.
