SALAM BONSAI DARI INDONESIA...
Nice trees P-Bear, I have many to fold myself, it's great to see their progress in a few years and how many buds they have after annual bud cutting. Good luck to your babies.
I really like the basket pots or colanders you use. I have not found something so similarly shallow in Canada.
This seems to be a basket used in Japanese inns.

Hi Kimi. Long time without writing to you.
Very very interesting video. Thanks a lot. In the last few months I've had my trees a little abandoned but now I have time for them again and continue learning with you and your colleagues.
A few days ago I had the privilege of seeing master Imai Chiharu work live, here in the Basque Country.
Hello! Were you unwell? Are you okay?
I also catch a cold easily, so I eat yogurt every day.
@@-kimisbonsai-Hi Kimi. I'm fine, thanks for asking. Last year I bought a flat with a garden and have spent all my free time making repairs inside and out. Now it's time to get back to my saplings (future bonsai trees with your help)🙂🙏🙏
I need those baskets 😢

Interesting! At this moment, I'm at exactly the same stage with developing a lot of my pine seedlings. I am using a lot of simple clay pots because my climate zone is by far not as moist as yours. I agree: if you want movement in the trunk, you should try and create that as low as possible. A straight base with (a lot of) movement in the upper parts, looks strangely most of the time. I guess, in future you will need a few extra shelves, Kimi... Good luck!
Thanks for your comment! Pine is a great teaching material that teaches you a lot of things from seed to finishing it as a bonsai.
Is the pine tree you are growing Japanese? I know that there are different types of pine trees overseas🌲
Hello Kimi. The pine I was writing about, is Pinus Sylvestris, also known as "Scots Pine". That's a wellknown species around these areas (Western Europe; I live in The Netherlands). Growing close together (forests), they tend to grow in Bunjin (Literati) style, so to speak, with a rather "naked" trunk and rather "straight" (with some movement; Moyogi). Given enough space, they grow quite irregular with often strange shapes of the trunks. These trunks, given time, always get an orange colour. In general, they grow rather fast and they will get a rough bark. These trees prefer rather dry conditions and a quite sandy, very well drained, rather poor soil. They like very sunny, warm and dry conditions and can bare frost during wintertime quite easily. Seedlings can be found in open spaces and at the edges of forests, not in shady conditions. In ideal conditions they will get lots of foliage/needles and lots of buds. They also are "back-budding" quite easily after cutting tops and buds. In fact, when you like pine bonsaï and live in these regions, they are quite ideal and they also are quite tolerant, regarding wiring and cutting. Growing them from seeds - which can be easily taken from the pinecones - give a very high success rate (easily 90%-95%, whith some protection). The needles are rather thin and soft, compared with for example black pine. After a few decades of growing bonsaï, I started with these pines only a couple of years ago so I'm still studying and experimenting. That's exactly why I like these kind of videos from you...! Unfortunately, we live about half the world from eachother, otherwise I would gladly give you a few of these little, young pines. But, on the other hand, I guess your shelves are quite filled, aren't they...? Good luck!@@-kimisbonsai-

which method to use to thicken the trunk? the wire or fertilizer?
