THANK YOU FOR YOUR ACCURATE ASSESSMENT OF NATIVE DEODORANT! People recommend it all the time, and it was really poor as deodorant for me, too. Tom's was slightly worse, but not by much. Native also gave me a weird smell on top of leaving my regular BO.
I have tried so many aluminum free deodorants and most are terrible. Arm & Hammer Essentials works best for me. Of course it was the one I picked up randomly with no expectation it would work.
I had the same experience!! I felt like I smelled even worse than if I hadn’t worn deodorant at all. ofc everyone is different so maybe it does more for other ppl, but to me it just seems weird how popular the brand is now.
I'm not a Lisa Eldridge stan, feel free to criticize her! I haven't even tried her makeup lol BUT I am tempted by her new lipstick because of the packaging and am surprised you didn't mention it, given your environmental experience. For me, $20 as a premium for zero landfill waste might be worthwhile.
I'm old enough that I remember when antiperspirant came on the scene. I've never looked back especially since I live in a hot humid climate (Miami). All the natural stuff can take a hike.
I thought the reaction to the price of Patrick Ta’s duo eyeshadows was over the top, especially considering what Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury, etc. have sold singles for. Then I saw his video reacting to people complaining about the price. It was so cringy! Then I saw Robert Welsh’s video about his reaction to a black creator who called him out on TikTok, because his brand had not paid her. He actually deleted his first video and redid it so he could look like he was crying. It was so gross. I really can’t see myself buying from his brand anymore at this point. I have liked some products, but he needs to stop with the gross videos.
And, when his palettes have a pretty short shelf life for expensive palettes, (quite a few folks have showed their moldy palettes) who wants to spend all that $ on shadows that may not last?! I’ve got some of my Moondust shadows since the old packaging! lol! I don’t use them often, but I could if I wanted! Lol
Native stick deodorant isn’t the best for, say, a workout class, but I like it for just a quick grocery run, sitting around the house, or for when I worked as a receptionist and didn’t move much. I prefer the new cream formula in a tube that they released, I find better results as far as pilling and texture issues that you spoke about. But it’s definitely not for the gym, all day outdoor or active wear (unless you commit to reapplying), etc.
I also love the liquid shadows from LH Cosmetics, they are so pretty! I’ve got 3 colours and I want more. Sadly the MAC blush formula was only for the holidays. Regarding the Lisa Eldridge lipstick, I think that the high price tag stems from the quality of the case. It hasn’t any plastic whatsoever. It’s made to be recyclable only using one type of material. Lastly, the Lancome concealer is phenomenal, it’s been my favourite since it launched! I don’t even set it every time. Thanks for the warnings! 💕
I am really impressed with the new LE lipsticks. The refillable and reusable aspects are worth it to me. I love the olde fashioned look of the component and the modern, recyclable packaging. I purchased this and two refills. I hope more formulae and colours are coming soon. I have a lot of lipsticks and lip products but I am happy to have something truly special in my collection now. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and advice on these products 💛🧡❤️
I've loved that Lancome concealer for a long time - so glad to hear you giving it some love! Your base looks stunning too; whatever you did definitely made it work! ❤
Armpit dandruff and Pineapple B.O. absolutely cracked me up Angie! 😂😂 “Let me get off that train coz it was too much!” - Angie 2025 😆😂🤣 I totally get your frustration as there’s nothing that irks me quite like a bad deodorant.
I hate natural deodorants. I got sucked in by the hype and it being "a healthy alternative" to aluminum. Healthy my a$$. I immediately got chemical burns from the essential oils. I tried 3 different brands. Spent about $40 on freaking deodorant just to have chemical burns 🥴
Thank you Angie for your insightful reviews. I really like that you mention your skin type, tone and preferences alot do not. I thought the PT eye duo was going to be meh considering I have numerous indi brands single shadows. I know The lipstick Lesbians explaining why it was so different sent sales through the roof but then content creators took it as a call to criticize the price riding the bus for views. Indi brands still have all commercial brands beat when it comes to eye shadow hands down. looking stunning as always❤
Wow. I've been using Native for years and never had any issues with it. I've even worn it camping in deserts and at hot humid beach holidays, and had no problem with smells. Actually my niece was hugging me the other day (it's currently reaching up to 40°c/104°f here) and she told me that I smelt 'pretty like mangoes', so definitely no issues with bad smells. I recall that I was told to use a body scrub and a mud mask under my arm pits before switching to natural deodorants which I did, so maybe that's why?..... but I definitely do not have any of the issues you mentioned.
Same! I loved native deodorant. I literally just got home from getting a travel size native deodorant a town over because regular deodorant gives me cystic acne now. However, when I transitioned, I used a charcoal pit mask to help. If you just switch, you risk stinking.
That Marste perfume has been in my cart since you first talked about it and I think if I get a bonus at work that’s the one thing I’ll treat myself too as a job well done to myself 🎉 I know I’m going to LOVE it
I really like the Lancome all over concealer, too, but I can not find a perfect shade for me. The lightest one available in my country is too dark. Such a shame. I do use it together with a slighlty too light concealer, but for that reason I will not repurchase it.
I think every deodorant, like a lot of makeup/ skincare/ shampoo etc., just works for some people and not for others, guaranteed you can find someone who feels exactly the opposite of what you do about any given deodorant (or other cosmetic product)
I keep watching her but I definitely don’t agree with her preferences but actually I know if she doesn’t like it , I know it would work for me and if she does like jt , I probably won’t . The ABH lip velvet things are my worst make up mistake of 2024,
I love Native! I love that i only need to apply a little bit, two sticks last me the whole year. I live in Los Angeles though, which is very dry, and have never been particularly sweaty or smelly, so I always wanted a non-antiperspirant deodorant. Native is also based in San Francisco, which is where i grew up, and have a plastic free line! Is it the most effective deodorant? No, but it's exactly what my body and values wants. edit:the wiggly gloss from sephora is Gisou! Supposedly they reformulated it to smell more like honey, Kacie loves it now
It took my body awhile to adjust to not using antiperspirant. Antiperspirant prevents you from sweating. So now you have increased bacteria and sweating in your pits...it took me a few months and finding the right deodorant. I tried baking soda deodorants made by etsy shops, i tried the rock crystal thing. I tried lavinilla. Those i was still getting use to not using deodorant so i stunk. Native did work for me, some scents better than others..and sensitive did not work for me.but I just went back to Antiperspirant as it's too expensive.
I think Native depends…I can’t use any other deodorant because I get rashes. It doesn’t pill for me and it does help with smell. I use the vanilla scent and that’s it. I tried another scent and wasn’t a fan.
Always enjoy hearing your take on these products. I completely agree with you about that new L’Oreal glassy highlighter. It was SO oily and sticky. Not for me! I highly disliked it. I’m excited to try that elf powder though. It’s on my shopping list now after watching this video!
I have the Strawberry setting loose powder from Boxycharm/Ipsy sent it in a box. I was at the Hotel at the time and I love it. It is finely milled and you can't tell it is on. 😂 I was touching my face and forgot I had a full face on. I rubbed my eye and the powder saved the day. My little heart shape poofy is my favourite.😊❤
Thank you for saying how expensive LE lipstick is. Nobody indicated how much it costs and when I went to her website I froze. I couldn’t comprehend that price. Everyone was over the moon about them so I bought two. I wanted to see what’s the wonder. They are like a lipstick of 2005 with an incredibly heavy housing. I am not applying lipstick in public so the beauty of the lipstick is unimportant to me. But why no one was saying absolutely nothing about the astronomical price is beyond my understanding. Like there is a secret that nobody would discover. So thank you for honesty and openness!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I also love the Lancome concealer and I am 59 with some lines under my eyes and it works the best. Sephora never seems to have my color in stock though. Thanks for reviews!
Yesss the makeup by Mario powder is INSANE for my dry under eyes! I’m obsessed! And I agree the Armani liquid blushes are not worth the price. I bought two and they’re mehhhh
I got the What’s Up Beauty bronzer, let’s be honest here, because of the lovely packaging/marbling. And I must agree that it’s soooo sheer. I watched some reviews beforehand and went with the ‘Tan’ shade. Lemme tell you, - I don’t think it would actually show up on anyone tan, as it barely shows up on me😅 And I’m on the pale side, AND it’s the middle of winter. I still love the baked texture and the product overall. Just wouldn’t recommend to anyone with a deeper skin tone
Nobody ever talks about OFRA, but I loooooooooooove their highlighters. First off, no glitter! Second, they have GREAT highlighter palettes. I bought one on a whim off Amazon 👉🏻 and used the ENTIRE THING. I went to their website and they have awesome highlighter palettes - which I haven’t seen anyone else carry anything quite like they do. I got the Glow Up Palette (all highlighters), the Head in the Clouds palette (blush/highlighters), and Mini Mix Face palette (bronzer/blush/highlighters). I had another 3 pan highlighter I gave to my daughter in law that she really likes! You don’t necessarily get the wet look, but I adore the colors they have, and you get a large assortment to choose from! I have a white-green one too, called Out of this World - that makes me think of aliens LOL! I love it! Also they have great sales, freebies, and coupons, if you pay attention! Do you ever use their products? Do you recommend them?
So odd, I love native deodorant. I wonder if it has to do with heat and/or humidity. I’m 50 and live in upstate ny, works great for me even through exercising. Never noticed pilling.
I did. not like Native either. I didn't think it worked and the scent I got smelled like BO so that wasn't great either. I smelled better not wearing anything at all. Edit to say: I've really enjoy the glitter pucks from Half Magic. They are perfect for adding a little more sparkle to whatever shadow you are wearing and they feel cooling and are easy to use. I think they are better than the Patrick Ta.
Yes the Armani highlighter is horrible. For the price point it’s so bad 😢 and I was so excited for the white shade. It’s barely glowy and yet in sunlight I look glittery.
I know I am in the minority, but I don't like Lisa Eldrigde lip products. I tried three: a lipliner which was fine, but the color was very different from what I thought it was online. Same goes for the matte lipstick, I even thought they had send me the wrong one, it was that different. And dry. The more shiny lipstick was nice, but no longevety. For those prices, I'm not going to risk that again. I do love her foundation, though.
I feel the same way about the Native deodorant 😊 made me so stinky 😂 my daughter in law said she loves it, but I also told her that's because she is one of those people who don't sweat
The orange package in native at citrus something it smells the best but you're right it doesn't work that good I put it on my feet and under my boobs and then I use a regular deodorant that actually helps to sweat under my armpits
Cosmic Beauty should be horsewhipped for putting those shades in a mystery box. I've managed to make them work as shading lipsticks and mixing into blushes, but I'm still a bitter beach of two browns and a light beige in a mystery box. No girl, just no. Lisa Eldrige is way overrated. I think I have 2-3 left. One I had to trash it was some pink frost compared to what she had online. Now that I think about it Pat McGrath is so overrated, too: far to expensive and not comfortable on the lips.
As someone who watches quite a bit of your content and admires what you share, I feel compelled to address something I found concerning in one of your recent posts. You showed your best friend, who is a tattoo artist, tattooing you in your house. I understand the close bond you share and that it might seem harmless, but this is a risky message to send to your audience, especially if many of your viewers are younger and impressionable. Tattooing at home, in an unsterilized and uncontrolled environment, can significantly increase the risk of infection. This is especially true when pets are present, as they can introduce bacteria into the space. Professional tattoo studios are designed to meet stringent hygiene and sterilization standards to ensure the safety of the person being tattooed. Without these measures, the risk of complications, such as infections or poor healing, becomes much higher. Additionally, by sharing this, you might inadvertently encourage younger viewers to think it's acceptable to get tattoos in informal settings, such as at house parties or by unlicensed individuals. This can lead to serious health risks, including infections, allergic reactions, or even bloodborne diseases if proper safety protocols aren’t followed. As someone with a significant following, you have the power to influence and educate your audience. While it’s your choice to get tattooed in your home, I believe it’s important to consider how this might be perceived by others, especially those who might not fully understand the risks involved. I urge you to think about the message this sends and perhaps use your platform to promote safer, more responsible practices. This isn’t meant to come across as overly critical but rather as a suggestion to use your platform in a way that ensures the safety and well-being of your audience. Sharing content responsibly is so important, and I hope you’ll take this into consideration moving forward.
Also remember the rules are very different in different countries. My friend is a Swedish tattoo artist, and you can, with proper training and knowledge run a tattoo studio from your home in Sweden, if you follow the rules. I always say stay safe and read up. But in this case, this is not some random person without knowledge tattooing me :) But yes, never just let anyone tattoo you.

All of this, PLUS it breaks my underarms out in a rash. Literally the worst. Lume for the win!

You look like a glamorous unicorn with those eyes! ❤

Love your eye look Angie
“I’m not trying to look like a 200 year old lizard” 😂😂😂😂 you and me both, sis!
I tried the jelly blush from Revolution…it was….uh….it was…well it’s a lot cheaper than the Milk one😂😂
😂
Cannot wait to try mine!

Hello from Australia
Hello :D
I've recently found your channel, and I love it. Hi from Lithuania
This is my favorite eye look I have ever seen you do and I have been watching for years, just stunning 😍
For me it was not even for working from home sitting down haha, and I'm not even a sweaty person! 🙈
@@AngelicaNyqvist I get that!! Everything is gonna work differently for everyone and you just gotta find the right things for you! :D

“Who is using this mirror??? WHO?” “Everybody calm your tiddies!” - LOL!!!! I laughed for like 10 minutes after the Patrick Ta duo part! 😆
Obsessed with this eye look Angie!! ❤🎉
I've never understood the obsession with natural deodorants. They just don't work.' I'll stick with my Dove coconut spray deodorant.
I've loved that Lancome concealer for a long time - so glad to hear you giving it some love! Your base looks stunning too; whatever you did definitely made it work! ❤
Armpit dandruff and Pineapple B.O. absolutely cracked me up Angie! 😂😂 “Let me get off that train coz it was too much!” - Angie 2025 😆😂🤣
I totally get your frustration as there’s nothing that irks me quite like a bad deodorant.

Wow. I've been using Native for years and never had any issues with it.
I've even worn it camping in deserts and at hot humid beach holidays, and had no problem with smells.

Lisa Eldrige is way overrated. I think I have 2-3 left. One I had to trash it was some pink frost compared to what she had online.
Now that I think about it Pat McGrath is so overrated, too: far to expensive and not comfortable on the lips.
lol Pineapple BO, armpit dandruff
Native deodorant is the worst!!! LUME all day, every day!!!!!
❤
Native deodorant gave me chemical burn
Your perfume bottle looks full.
Yeah I actually don’t like overspraying, I prefer a small spritz on my wrists only most of the time, thats why I never buy fullsized bottles myself :)
Native deodorants don’t work and they gave me the worst rash of my life!!!!
Same. Soooo painful.
Oh gawd 🙄 give me a break. Kids and teens aren’t sitting around with tattoo equipment at their reach 🙄
Lol you be surprised .
first 🥰🥰
