Nice kit review. I too am fond of Stanley. I have one of their flasks. It's a solid piece to be sure.
Although mine seems to have a bit of a whiskey smell to it. :)
You are soda man lucky to get to do a meetup with Rob!!!! That's one thing on my list. He's such a great guy and knows his stuff. His outlook on nature and "bushcraft" is very much in tune with mine.
    Enjoy that trip brother.
    Loved the vid, good stuff.
    Be well
    Craig

P.s. I couldn't reply to your comment on my last video for some reason. There was no option but to like it. My thanks for watching though. And for commenting.

Awesome review man! I just decided to order one on Amazon so I am glad to hear that the flask is of a superior quality because that's what I wanted! (Plus for ABS plastic, best sort around!)

+Guðmundur Bjartur Thanks my friend. I know some people don't like the fact it' made in asia but who cares really? It's a great product and the matching shot glasses made of S steel are an added luxury ;-). Thanks for watching.

+Team North Cool, I know you'll like it. I also managed to get the matching shot glass set as well. I'll be happy to show that if you want me to. Just let me know. ATB Steve

I love Stanley gear and i have had my eyes on that one before. Love the t-shirt BTW... hehe.
To be honest most adult beverages do sterilize pretty well so as you said just hot water is plenty. It will be a lot of fun and I will have to get the flask a go :)
I am counting down the days mate Johan is already packed lol. Take care and I'll see you soon

thank you for your reply but I do like good honest reviews
I have a lot of Stanley gear and I try to go for USA made
    for a better quality
also I have got the flask you reviewed and no mention of rough edges to top and bottom stainless steel caps and excess glue around joints
    Stanley are good
but I don't think this stands up to the Stanley quality
    cheers
    Andy p

+Andrew Padley Glad you like Stanley stuff. My flask has none of the issues you mentioned so maybe you were just unlucky with your particular one. I think most people like to think that their home country makes the best quality, and in some cases this can be true, but like I said before, in this day and age most equipment is made in countries that have significantly cheaper labour and production costs.....just how it is now. I do wish the quality controls in these countries was of a higher standard as I have had some bad experiences also, but I guess that is down to the companies that have their names on the gear to insure they keep the level high. ATB.

you didn't say anything about it being made in China

    • @norfnifelemon
      @norfnifelemon  8 ปีที่แล้ว

+Andrew Padley , Thanks for the comment. I did'nt mention it was made in China as IMO it is irrelevant. Nearly all outdoor equipment is made in the far east now due to manufacturing costs but that doesn't mean they lose there appeal. Not to me anyway! case in point would be the bushcrafters cooking pots of choice Zebra, that are made in Thailand. ATB
