One detail you did not address. Since pine tar is used as sealant, I assume the fire will turn the sap of a pine tree into pine tar, which is one of the reason pine trees are preferred.
Do you made use of the fire for cooking or other uses while you're waiting? What was done with the charcoal and other "waste material" once it was removed from the inside?

I met this guy once while visiting the museum, he is in fact indigenous, though not a Virginia Indian - he said he and his father belonged to a tribe from Louisiana. As for the outfit, it is not an "indigenous person costume," it is a representation of the clothing of a person from a specific culture in a specific time and place - a 17th century Powhatan warrior/hunter. He is a historical interpreter, representing historical clothing and life, in the same way a person may dress as a 17th century English sailor or colonist at the same museum.
the disney movie pocahantas was totalally inacurrate it make princess pocahantas as a peace lover and not a fighter but no no no that movie was dead wrong about powhatan princess pocahantas she actully let female powhatan soldier females much love to you russule my brother my heart goes out to you ❤❤😊
I love the purpose of the video but as an Algonquin women I'm wondering why you both are dressed in Algonquin regalia instead of simply hiring Algonquin people as models to recreate our Indigenous history.
Whats stopping you form doing this? Go tell your story, stop trying to get the white man to feel pity for you and do all the work. He obviously has a passion and love of the culture and people he wants to help the world remember. You have.... a whiny youtube comment.

I never appreciated an axe so much until after seeing stone axe work.
