Most of the co-op are paid but still some are unpaid. So better to investigate before apply

First of all, thanks. My question is could I take a job as a co-op in other Canadian providence?
Yes, though the process would all be explained to you once you are in Co-op.
The program which I want to opt has an Optional CO-OP term. But on the co-op page I see a note.
*Note: students are available for work term in the following semesters: fall (September to the end of December); and spring (May to the end of August).
So that this means that, if a student coming in May intake cannot apply for co-op, because he will already complete his/her 2 semesters in December and this course doesn't allow co-op for winter (January to April end). In this case what things to consider?
Once you are enrolled in Co-op, your co-op placement and terms will be explained to you. It won't interfere with your other academic progression.
Are we paid for working in co-op program?
Most co-ops that are paid, and some are not. That depends on the company!

Hello and thanks for the comment! This course does not have an optional co-op. However, you can possibly apply to a local business and get work experience that would be similar to what you would get in a co-op environment. Good luck! :)

Hi ,i want admission in electronics and embedded systems co-op in your college but i am confused about the study schedule. Is there are 3 working days or 5 working days in this course?.

If I chose a 1.6-year coop diploma out of which 9 months are designed only for Coop.
1. Three semesters out 6 semesters are designed only for coop during the diploma, does this mean, it's a mandatory coop?
2. How many years of work permit do I get?
3. How many hours of part-time can I do in the coop?
4. Can I also apply and do off-campus part-time & on-campus while doing coop?
5. If I chose the coop diploma course? Am I eligible for PR?
6. What are the precautions to take while doing coop course keeping in perspective of PR?
1. Yes! That means it is mandatory.
2. You don't get a work permit. You get a study permit, which comes with a work permit for your co-op.
3. Generally 20 hours per week, but that might vary depending on your study permit.
4. You might. Again, that will depend on your study permit.

Yes! Field placement is a great learning opportunity that gives you real practical experience of a work setting and adds to your work experience when looking for a job after your studies. Essentially, you will apply to different placement opportunities (like jobs) with the support from your program and then work as if its a real job :)
So if we have to do everything for coop program why do they charge such huge extra amount for coop program?
Program coordinators, professors, and the Co-op office support students with co-op application and connecting students to a wide range of co-op opportunities. Many companies in the Waterloo Region have close connection to Conestoga College and welcomes Conestoga students! Co-op is an excellent opportunity!
I'm applying for a PG diploma in HRM which has co op as optional. Will I be able to apply for a PG work permit after that ?

in France, we have that since years and years, it's really usefull because it allow you to understand how it really is in companies. I'm actually looking to study in USA now, since my lessons are online, it would allow me to work at home, even though i'm french.
Do you think it's possible for a stranger to work in Co-op in the USA? (my english is good for a beginner, but i'd want to work in USA to learn from a real american and also to discover how living there really is like)
We are not sure about the USA. But in Canada, where we are located, as an International Student you can apply to a program with Co-op option.

Hai.. I got an offer letter from Conestoga college for Global hospitality management followed by global business management .. it shows that one year academic programs for 16 months of study. .. is that a course of two year with 3 year stay back? Pls gv me a rply...

Hello! In our English for Academic Studies programs, idioms are a topic covered in class. As for adapting to idioms in everyday conversation, I would not worry too much about it as it is not a large component of speaking.

I dont have a co-op option in my study permit... what should i do?
1)should i apply for a new study permit( ofcourse then it will take too much time)

3)is there some safe and fast way to get a co-op permission on my study permit?
Ofcourse it will also be really helpful if anyone could share a link to a video that might address my problem. Can coop programs be done after grad
No, it can not be done if you are already a Conestoga graduate. However many coop program placement are at the last term(s). So it could be that you are doing your classes then co-op then graduate upon successful completion.

Conestoga doesn't offer any masters programs, but instead has industry focused post-graduate programs that are extremely in demand in Canada.

Yes! Our study permit comes with a work-permit which allows us to work 20 hours per week.

Co-op job is a competitive process. You have to apply, interview and then job offers occurs. However, you have a your professors and the Co-op office offering you support to apply to available positions.
