Also for fabric, you can break down beds that you find for fabric and iron bars. The beds in Theta-9 Base respawn when you log out and back in. They may have patched it not too sure but worth checking out. You can deconstruct the planters in the rooms as well for organic!
If you check a deposit between Theta 9 (that large base with doors you couldn't open) and that huge nickel asteroid field you found a while back you'll see a quartz deposit. That deposit has one deposit miner you can scan, but beware of four advanced drones guarding it. There's a copper deposit on the way to that yellow dome -- you flew around it to avoid the drones guarding it. There are two more miners there to scan. And if you look around the asteroid with two domes near the gateway there's a deposit with the fourth and final deposit miner you need to scan. Miners are independent -- no need for airlocks or anything. You just place them next to a deposit, and they'll just keep churning out ore. There are one copper and one gold deposit near each other not far from the vertical base.
An update came out today that introduces fiber. There are little leafy plants you break with the scrapper, I found a bunch on the island under the nickel field. You can turn those into fabric, and they respawn even if you just go into the hatch on that island and come back out. So fabric is trivially infinite now, feel free to use it for medkits.
first yellow dome has a ton of the plants for fiber. Low broad leafed white edged plants. First one you harvest gives you fiber and you get the ability to make fabric....tons of it.
Light Bulbs: recycle them! Anything you have too much of, just recycle it. There's a better place for silver: right above the green entrance! You still can get hurt, you just didn't try hard enough. If you want to die, just run out of oxygen.
Sulfur - hit it at the edge of your melee range and for the final hit (20/xxx) immediately backpeddle - if you time it right you back out of the explosion radius. Mind you its not 100% relaible
Kage, I'm not sure but i think that in the upgrader you need to unequip your tool and put it in the uograder UI (the circle slot where you put the upgrades in your tool, in the timeframe i tagged). Try it out! 1:48
There are more fabric containers behind Theta-9 but they are protected by those nasty drones. Use your laser tool and back away from them (as you’re also turning e.g. hold S key to go backwards and hold either the A or D key at the same time) to prevent them from landing any kill shots. That yellow dome is the only place (I found) that has sulfur and I didn’t find any other way to open them. You do take some damage. NOTE: BE VERY CAREFUL with those laser miners. I had one of mine re-aim itself right through me and I lost almost all of my health. Also, just wait until you get the T3 minor upgrade. You think it’s fast now. You ain’t seen anything yet.
I was able to open the sulfur barrels with almost no damage, on the last hit get as far away as possible then hit and backup almost simultaneously, not easy but possible.
Fabric is now renewable you need to find fiber and I believe you can grow it. I'm currently trying to investigate and find fiber to see. Also I do not think you were going fast enough to hurt yourself.
waiting for the medieval dynasty video to come next lol. I'm going to play a bit tonight if I can. i'm on year 12 and just now thought about moving my whole entire village lol. I'm playing the original map since it is the longest saved game I have-I just want to get my son grown up so i can play him lol
You should go to the area with the alien squid things. You can take them out with the laser cutter. The other summon vehicle scans are in there along with other useful things that I won't mention because I don't wanna ruin it for you.... unless someone already told you what's in there then shame on them!
It does not take that long to mine. The auto miners are just not worth it. My first playthrough I struggled with fabric (lost the save). The next playthrough I explored more and found a lot of fabric. Now you can mine the plants in some of the dome and turn them into fabric. A heal over time would be OK, but a medical bed that heals you for free you can build at your base would be better. Yes having WIP doors in this area and 2 warp locations... the game has a long ways to go. Hopefully it does not take too many years.
Sorry to blow your bubble but one adv. habitat batery is not enough for two auto miners - you need to add cost of structure your putting it on After you make and equip shild unit you will need to heal yourself so having few adv med kits is a must , regular ones are not worth using you recicle them than add wire to make better ones I think there is a way to get infinite amount of fabric by deconstructing beds in POI with all those doors needing keycards and revisiting it byut i did not confirmed that (im a little bit annoyed by the game after i lost my summon ship on reload) I dont think you even need to make enginers suit since you are going to make another one that gives protection from toxic area - basicly radiated cloud in green area
The cheap batteries are made with easily mined materials. The other requires purple Celestite and is not even double the capacity. You can make a huge tube of corridors and line it with cheap batteries anywhere on the map you want, so other than for looks, what is the point of making advanced batteries?
Just a heads up, last i checked, the Celestite (both red and purple) are limited resources. So advanced chipsets are finite. Careful what you use them for!

There was an update in just the last few hours. Fiber for fabric added. And the Red Celestite(sp?) now has a spawn location.
Hey kage you can get fiber in the yellow dome from plants on the ground and use it to make fabric for health kits the plants are little bushes
Dev needs to add a plant you can grow to produce fabric. It would give another purpose for the farming mechanic, which needs filling out anyway.

with the new update you can finally actually read the logs you find floating in space and it will pause the game while you read it.

You should move your wall storage to the corridors so you don't lose wall space in the main building area

Taking the smaller batteries off is a good idea, same space used for more power with the bigger battery.

Did you already unlock the solar panel extender add-ons? If so, you should build some of those.

I like this game but it is half playing the game half running back and forth. Maybe after some more content, idk.
