I love space weirdos, it’s so simple and yet you have the freedom to build such weird things ….. like teleporting space daemons , to build great narratives. The lack of constraints is such fun.
I try to get back into Warhammer and Mordheim in particular but the simplicity with komplexity of the weirdos-games just have me hooked. It says something about the rule system that it’s easy to get and you don’t have to check tables and or warband sheets over an over again. Thanks for these great battle reps that keeps me company when I don’t have anyone available to play with 🙂
Thank you so much for making these battle reports! I’m planning on playing Space Weirdos with my friends soon and these SW reps have been very entertaining and educational 😊
Great game! Few mistakes I spotted in round 2: - Stinky being shot down by the commander? Should have +1D for its defense due to double movement, right? (Basically, harder to hit while moving so fast). - Pinchy was hit in CC by an enemy with no close combat weapon (you said, that the cyborg is attacking only by the butt of the rifle). So the cyborg should have -1D due to being unarmed, right? Both of these seem to be pretty significant. Also, I believe that in round 4 you should add +1D to Angry's attack due to charge, but the result was pretty insignificant for the result of the game (no difference if this cyborg lives or dies, so there was no true reason to even attack him, LOL). Please more of this content, I love this game!
Thanks Radek. I assume there are folks out there who play error-free games, but we are not among them. It would probably help if we stuck to one rule set instead of bouncing around.
Very very useful, I shall soon be playing my first sw game, and this batrep was very fun and useful. Being able to roleplay in those indie games makes them so much funnier and enjoyable than boring « Excel spreadsheet games » like 40k...
I love this kind of video. If I were doing it I'd be tempted to overproduce it with an narrative driven editing and side bar with the rolls and the rules notes just to keep it technically correct while being watchable. I remember this old skit by a comedy troupe here on TH-cam called Loading Ready Run who made a video called "Secret Life Of Board Games". You should check it out.
I enjoy watching the ways different channels present batreps. Single cam/multi cam, banter/no banter, dice rolling/no dice, rules explanations or not, 10 minute AARs to two hour epics. It’s pretty amazing really to see all the various approaches.
@@oldhammered I should have mentioned this first: I love your channel. I have a random assortment of miniatures, mostly D&D, mostly 28mm, and watching your videos gives me hope that I will be able to play a tactical skirmish game with them someday.
@Patrick Cox Garske Games is coming out with Sword Weirdos in the next few months, which should be great for those D&D figs. I have a bunch of lead Archive and Ral Partha minis from the very old days that may get pressed into service. Cheers!

Another wonderful and fun batrep. SW is truly a gem among the huge range of skirmish games out there, agnostic and not. Thanks for a great video!
Great to see indie games in action especially when they compete with grand daddy GW. Less convoluted more fun

So cool to see these models in action again!
Have seen these vids and trying SW might get me back into miniatures and wargames by picking up some old modells on ebay.

All hail the humble rifle butt (and those horrible red dice).

Space Weirdos is such a great game and we always have epic endings. Great video! Thanks for posting.
Oh man, poor Pinchy!
Oh the indignity. Oh the shame.
Space Weirdos is great!? One of my favourite games.

@@oldhammered Well, if you make any more like this, I'm here for it.
@@3dpprofessor You should check our back catalog. We have about 50 of them.
@@oldhammered found your playlist and im making my way though them.
Delightful as always!
i´ve been watching your videos for like 6 months and now i´m understanding better the rules, great game, gonna play it soon with some paper minis.
The minis look great!
I love this game. Great batrep.
Good video of a short but fun scenario! Nicely produced, but not over-produced.
Where's the summoner miniature from?
I believe that’s an old Citadel chaos sorcerer.
Where did you get your dice tray? I've been looking for that design online and cannot find it.
We bought that from an Etsy store named Viking Carpenter a few years ago, but it looks like they've since taken down their account.
@@oldhammered too bad. If I can find someone with a laser cutter I can make the file. I've made more complicated models for 3d print.
totally enjoyed. thank you.
Since it's point buy, can one side have more miniatures?
Affirmative.
@24:25, was she supposed to reroll the one? She rolls a 9 and a 1 and the result is 10, but I'm pretty sure she was supposed to reroll the one.
Wouldn't surprise me. There may be folks out there who play error-free games, but we are not among them.

rip pinchy💔
Is this like A Song of Blades and Heroes?
I’m trying to remember. There might be some similarities, but on the whole I think it’s a much different game.
I feel like this all came down to bad dice rolls. And, I mean, that's the game, but dang, so many bad rolls.
