- How to change engine oil on Royal Enfield motorcycles? In this video we will change the engine oil on a Classic 350 to Castrol Power1 Cruise 15W-50. I always use it... It's milage is about 3500km
I had used it on my bullet 500 cc BS3 engine ... There was a considerable change in heating issue specially at Traffic jam , but after 2500km bike engine felt very rough which I had never felt earlier.... So I switch back to Motul lubricant ....l
Engine vibes aren't totally removed by changing the engine oil but I've personally felt some bikes respond to certain engine oils and wonder why the oem oil spec was fixed so. For example a bike that has oil rated as 10w30 runs well with a 10w40 oil. One needs to try out different oils and find which works best and prolonged usage of such suitable oil will definitely make the bike stand out of other similar bikes with oem oil.
My Honda Dio runs like a charm on 5w40, although the recommendation is 10w30.

Being a Royal Enfield technician I really second your comment that, engine oil can damp vibrations to some extent but can't eliminate it. Uce Enfield engines aren't counterbalanced, vibrations will remain. Really laugh at assholes who comment that they have eliminated vibrations completely by using some magic engine oil 🤣 even at higher speeds 🐵. Good job, keep up.

Please make a lab test video on new LIQUID HUN SEMI-SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL from Royal Enfield.
Never use a shooter solution to flush the engine. The shooters chemical compound is harmful for the engine. The correct way to flush is to open the LH, RH cover, take a fat paint brush with some diesel as diesel is a really good and a pure form of degreeser and clean the clutch rotor, hub, starter clutch cogs, secondary shaft and all the LH and RH components. Also firmly clean the oil pump shaft, oil filter cavity. But apart from all, amazing vidoe. Very good information to all. Thank you 🙏✌️✌️

try idemitsu.Toyota, Honda cars, Honda bikes, Hero moto corp are using this.I am using it in my Qualis diesel.Very low vibration & sound....silky smooth....just ₹ 1500/- only for 5w30 semi synthetic oil.its 10 times better than Castrol magnatec diesel (₹ 2500/-) or Castrol magnatec5w30 ( ₹ 2600/- ) aprox.).

You should usu the gasket sealinig on the bolt parts and also in oil filter part otherwise it may be likage problem in that drain area

I USE MOTUL 5100 SEMI SYNTHETIC 10W50 ENGINE OIL,WITH LIQUI MOLY MOS2 OIL ADDETIVE. IT HELP ME A LOT, VIBRATION IS BIT LOW AND POWER AND MILEAGE OF BIKE INCREASE. MOTUL IS BEST ENGINE OIL FOR ROYAL ENFIELD.

I guess 90 gear oil works charm in any chains because the sprays tend to lock the links and rust my self experience cleaning with diesel is the best way to keep chain clean

If the oil level is fine then no need to top up with extra oil. I would suggest you to ride for another 100-150km and check the oil level again.

Cheers Pal for such a great video. My Bullst 350 has covered 14000 kms. During my last refill, that took place couple of days ago, I used liqui Moly engine flush and then used 2.50 ltrs of liqui Moly engine oil with engine oil additive from the same company. But while checking this video, I found that I didn't open the one nut at the back. Having found this mistake, I checked the quantity of the old engine oil that I draind, and it is a bit more than 2.50 ltrs. Should I drain the engine oil again. My bike has run 50 kms with the newly poured engine oil. Plz rply

Your videos are really helpful. Can you tell me what is that tik tik sound at 4:45 while you starting the engine, bcoz i too hear the same sound from my bike, it comes for 2,3 seconds and engine gets off. This happens in morning starts.
Thanks Ashiq for appreciating the content. The start up sound is from the decompressor. It is a part of the cam assembly that helps is reducing the compression pressure during the initial start up that ease up the start up process. Older enfields with manual decompressor helped with kick start and smoother kick operation without any kick back and injury to the rider.

If you are using them on highways then you won't find much difference. Inside the city under heavy traffic where we are frequent with gear shifts, I personally found the 7100 to perform better in such situations.

Can I use 15w40 ci 4 plus of Castrol in Thunderbird 350 ... I drive in Delhi !! daily 50 to 60 km?
When I went for the oil change my mechanic told that there will be a residual amount of oil (200-300 ml approx) inside the engine and he used only 2.3 litre of engine oil. Is it true? Any way for the past 2 services I have been using Castrol power cruise. Really recommending for a try. For me they have lasted for 4500 km.
After servicing I just went for a trial run (2km) and noticed that the oil colour was black and enquired about this. He said that the engine has a total Capacity of 3 liters. You need to fill 2.5 litre when you open the RH cover. If not just 2.3 litre is enough. He further added that the colour change was due to the mixing of residual oil with new one.
I used it on my bullet 500 cc BS3 , but after 2500 km I felt my engine is rough, so switch back to Motul
I see there 3 fill bolts in classic 350 / one on the left side, 2 on the right side. Is it ok to fill from any of the 3 fill bolts? Coz my mechanic said it is ok put from any of the 3 fills, he says it goes to same place inside. Is it so? Pls reply. Thnks
