At the time of Bonamana and No Other, Hangeng alredy left the group, Kibum was in his eternal hiatus and Kangin was in the military. For Acha seem there are less member because even if they are in the MV Heechul and Siwon didn't partecipated in the coreography because they couldn't promoted, Heechul at the time went to the military and Siwon was acting in a drama.
At that time (2009-2011) SM was really into coreography so they made MV that enlight that aspect. In 2012 the agency change a little the concept, the MV were still more about the coreography but they weren't in a standard box. Fun fact the concept was the city, most of the MV have a city or a part of that in the video, futuristic cities, destroyed cities or neighborhoods.

A-cha was created to Flex KRY vocals in a tittle track XD no one can convince me otherwiseXD.
Yesung is in charge of many Adlibs that you don't get to see. Before Lee Soo Man didn't see Yesung as a visual so he rarely got screen time in MV's or in Live stages, even though he was the one hitting all of the crazy vocals in the background. In MVs from what I see, after Bonamana the screen time becomes more equally distributed. After Sorry Sorry Hangeng and Kibum left so there were now 11 members. Also this is when the Military rotations started and you will start to see members missing from mv to mv. This also gives every member more screen time per song. Kangin was in the military during these so in the MVs there were 10.
The one you called yesung or sungmin is Yesung in the balloon scene and totally in black 💙
Shindong was actually at the front for a lot of the dance sequences in Bonamana. He's one of the main dancers so he was pretty prominent. You can see him mostly on the right side of the screen.
I feel attacked every time I watch "No Other", especially when Eunhyuk does that spin where his shirt flies open. Your double take reaction to that scene had me rolling! 😆

No other was the song that made me and ELF. I had listened to Sorry Sorry and Bonamana and I liked them but when I watched No Other's MV I was IN LOVE. I COULD NOT STOP LOOKING FOR THINGS FROM THEM. And here we are 10 years after...still and ELF and loving them with all my ❤️

I love Super Junior T, not just because my bias Leeteuk gets to sing more. But Ive found few Western people that like it, and it took some time for me to get into it as well. Its funny and catchy, but the extremely camp performance style as well as the music is very particular. So cool that Leeteuk recently hosted a show that cast a new trot idol group, Super Five, and in their own program SJ Returns 4 they recently had a trot song battle again like they once did many years ago.
You'll love their new one, which is actually a remake, a ballad sung live, "Raining Spell For Love". It's amazing.
During this period we already lost 2 members Hangeng and Kibum. Kangin wasn't present as he was completing his military services. Super members fluctuate because every male in Korea is required to complete military services so they leave on hiatus to fulfill this. Only two members left the group following Sorry, Sorry 2009 era then Kangin in 2019. Today only 9 members are active well technically 8 on stage as Heechul isn't really performing anymore because of this injuries. Sungmin is still on hiatus following his military services in 2016. Fans are still upset that he went off and married the love of his life... I know it's stupid but some people just don't understand that idols are human beings like the rest of us. Until Sungmin's return we have 9 members Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.

Super junior literally doesn’t have any concept in their song. That’s what make them different because they eat all of it from pop,retro ballad,trot,hiphop to english,chinese,japanese,spanish and so on. Hahahaha
"Bonamana" (Not Bonamama -- You accidentally spelled it wrong again.) and "No Other" are part of the same album which was released in 2010, so now Super Junior is an 11 member group. This was after Hangeng left and Kibum was busy with his acting career. However, there are only 10 members in this MV because KangIn was serving in the military at this time. You see Siwon, Heechul, Sungmin, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Shindong, Donghae, Yesung, Ryeowook and Leeteuk.
There were 3 versions of this Album, "Bonamana" was their title track from Version A of the album. Version B included behind the scenes photos and Version C was their repackaged album that included their lead track "No Other." That is why the two MVs are so different from one another.
In "Bonamana" no one had a skirt on -- I think what you see is Eunhyuk has a plaid shirt tied around his waist.
Fun fact: The dance move in "Bonamana" where they lean forward and swing their arm has been nicknamed the bowling dance because the move looks like the stance a bowler takes as they throw the ball down the lane. :D
"A-Cha" was the title track on their next album Mr. Simple (A-Cha) which was released in 2011. There are technically still 10 members in this song. However, you really only see 8 members in the choreography because Heechul was only days away from enlistment and knew he would not be able to participate in the promotions for this album, so he wanted to make it easier for the rest of the members by not participate in the choreography. And Siwon was busy working on a drama and didn't have time to promote with the group.
I don't know why you are just starting to recognize Yesung's talents because as one of the 3 main vocalists, Yesung has always been one of the members who has the main vocal parts in SuJu's songs. He has always been a vocal powerhouse since debut. He is part of K.R.Y -- the best vocal trio in the industry. I think your bias toward Kyuhyun and Ryeowook has given you blinders to Yesung's prominence and talent within the group. LOL You have already heard several songs, such as "Sorry Sorry Answer" from 2009, where Yesung pretty much carried the song as a main vocalist.

Thanks for the cute Leeteuk thumbnail. :) I agree about the autotune, in the West it was everywhere after Cher's "Believe", but that was in 1998, no idea why in K-Pop more than 10 years later. Personally I dislike it so much I almost didnt give "Sorry Sorry" a full listen when I first heard it. If it hadnt been for the video it might have prevented me from ever discovering SuJu. The visual concept of "Bonamana" plain and simple was to make SuJu look sexy. Leeteuk started to go shirtless and its been kind of a signature ever since, recently he revived the look with blazer and choker, and I'm not complaining. :) The most iconic thing is not in the video yet, but in tv shows and concerts, its his and Heechuls fan service illustrating some very suggestive lyrics. Check out the "Bonamana skinship" compilations! Regarding the swinging lightbulbs, that's well-known from Hitchcock's PSYCHO, which is a bit weird, as is the jail-cell like set in the photoshoot for the CD version that looks similar to the intro. And yes, it was a big hit for them, along with "Sorry, Sorry" and "Mr Simple".

Typical SuJu music ... I think they have changed styles a lot from album to album and even within one album there are different genres, but you might say that the hits stand out. First there was the mix of heavy metal, hip hop and dance which was really unique to them, then electro pop, then Latin influences. Alongside they always had ballads and cute boygroup pop songs, the most iconic of which you might call dance ballads, eg like "No Other", which has a strong melody but still provides enough rhythm for choreography. These are somewhat similar to SHINee, but they have more elaborate choreographies, whereas SuJu has more complex vocal arrangements, because they are a larger group and also sound very distinct individually.
