I would like to have known more about the cut of the vegetables towards the end of the vegetable end with the safety holders. I got one from Walmart, but I found it practically useless with small produce after a few swipes because the safety holder spikes prevented extending and cutting.
The OXO is a disappointment. The settings for the thickness of the cuts mean nothing. Everything is cut on the biggest setting and still too small unless all you want is thin slices of everything. I bought this to dehydrate veggies from my garden. Today it was a struggle to get the other slicers out of their holders. I finally used the french fry cutter for Julianne beets, it was that small. forget the julieanne slicer. It is worthless. The crinkle cut slicer was fine for beets. I wish I'd had not bought this mandoline slicer from all the recommended sites. Instead of taking the videos from the manufacture you should try them before recommending them.
