Genius understanding of speed. Acceleration stat was known to be misleading, And so was nitro power. I assume this is done so that other statistics can have a play in making a car better than the other ? Because if a car like Jesko just does what it indicates, It’ll be going way quicker than a Elise but quite literally, and also for what the game engine can handle? (Doubt it’s this since the game engine must be hard locked to be well within limits) Thanks for explaining.
There is a demo of Asphalt 9 for Android where there is a secret dev menu, in it you can activate an option called "Show real speed", in it I discovered that in fact the speed that appears in the game's hud is much higher than the real speed , for example: if a car reaches 500km/h in the normal game, in the demo with the "Show real speed" option activated its real speed will be between 330-360km/h
So basically the counter displays way higher speed than in game, probably so the game isn’t impossible to play, canon speeds would be way too hard to control
I still wonder tho. A good hacker should use the formulas shown in the video to demonstrate how the game would truly look if the cars were driving at their advertised top speeds.

If you guys want to know how it would look like if the fake speed was actually the one used for the speed of the vehicles, watch a lap of F5 or jesko at 1.5x speed. This is what it would look like
Not to mention that the timer difference between 2 different platforms is variable and not constant. There was a video of 2 races played simultaneously, I paused the video multiple times and noticed a difference in the timer (of course due to editing) but everytime I paused, the difference was not constant. Sometimes it was 35 or 37 or 42 or 98. I was really wierd. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Another thing. When I was doing the BMW i8 showroom, I had the car with 3 eips on (no eip on handling), and it's TS with PN Was 300, but when I installed the eip, the TS dropped to 299. It was quite the odd scenario.

Oh btw, a lot of racing game have the same scenario as ALU so I don't blame them (and also because Im lazy)
Instead of breaking it down to so many difference functions to map out the real vs fake speed differential, it appears from your graphing at 11:30 to be curves, and that you should be able to use an exponential function to describe the full curve, which should also be more accurate than what you have done. Nevertheless, excellent presentation
No, it is not a curve. It's not a logarithmic, or exponential or root function. It just is literally a piecewise linear function. It can not be represented properly any other way. (I suppose they did this to lessen cpu load, as they have to run this every frame).
Well in ALU's defence , if the real speed was not less than the displayed speed, it would be almost impossible to control all the high speed cars as its just an arcade game and not simulation.😂

Now we're just used to it, if GL just suddenly changes the car's TS real, we wouldn't be able to control it, like imagine a Huracan going faster than VENOM F5, in that case, F5 would be literally uncontrollable, but it would be somewhat fun to actually know how fast these cars actually go in real life. i tested all 600kmh car(i only have). so iceck them, as i see from point of view, some 600 car are not same, some car are same. not all. maybe only bit of them
