    The pressure indicated the air was released, but the spigot was clogged up. Insert a needle to open it up.

    Can anyone tell me if the white spigot is supposed to be centered in the bottle, mine is to the front.

    Great video. I had the exact model you had which I purchased 3 1/2 years ago. Mine just started to have the same problem yours is having. I tried all the same fixes but got the same results as you did. I just purchased a different model online and hoping it lasts longer that 3 1/2 years as these are expensive models. I have purchase the penguin model because it has glass carafes and because I saw some positive reviews with people that have owned their penguin models for 4-5 years and it is still working well. Good Luck. Sounds like you know how to fix things.

    Had exactly the same issue out of the box. I feel so cheated that I got this shipped from the US. Now it is just standing looking pretty on the countertop.

    I thing i know where the problem is. You must use much more force to screw in the co2 cylinder, its very hard to turn on.

      I did try that. Any tighter and I would have broken something. They refunded my money and I bought the normal model off the shelf and am very happy with it.

      If your not hearing a momentary hiss when removing the bottle, then its not depressing the valve in the bottle. They have changed bottle valve assemblies a couple times and yours may not be properly compatible?
      Sad to see disapointment on such an expensive model.

      I sent the kitchenaid models back for a refund. They tell me they aren't offering them in Canada any more. I bought one of the Sodastream models though and it works great.

    The Handle is not pushed all the Way down. You see it in other Videos, the Handle need to be pushed completele down to release Carbonate

    • @urbanevintner105
      @urbanevintner105  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I pushed it all the way down. Thanks for the thought though. I've watch reviewer videos of this model and they are pushing the handle down the same as I was. I tried everything to get it to work. This video was initially posted so the sodastream team could help me troubleshoot and they couldn't get it to work either. Too bad because it's a sharp looking model. Fortunately I have another sodastream model since then, that has worked great since day one. Love my sodastream. I'm at least 2L of fizzy water a day! I don't even add flavours. Just plain water. It's great!

    the CO2 bottle should turn close to a dozen times before it is seated. The washer may not be pushed up all of the way and it is binding the threads. Mine spins freely several times before there is any tension against the seal. The pressure gauge is battery operated, it will move normally with no tank or bottle in place...it's purely asthetic.

      Did this issue ever get resolved? I am experiencing the same problem with the second machine that has been sent to me. I am concerned given the high marks this appliance has received.

    • @urbanevintner105
      @urbanevintner105  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      They sent me a refund and I returned the two defective units. Originally they said they were going to make me a new one from scratch then they changed their mind without telling me, that they no longer offer these in Canada. I only found out because I called them to see what was going on having waited several weeks for number 3. I have since purchased a cheaper model from Canadian Tire and it works great. Fizzy water rules!

    My year old Kitchenaid Soda Stream is doing the same thing. I really can’t believe it’s broken and out of warranty and there is no way to fix it. When this worked, it was great. I went back to using my original hand pump Soda Stream. On a side note, I bought a 5 gallons food grade C02 tank from a local supplier and a CO2 adapter from Trinitysupply.com. No more exchanging tanks every two weeks.
