Medical care is NOT good in Indonesia. Expats will have to go to Singapore or Malaysia. Singapore is very expensive so Malaysia is a better and cheaper option.

Assalamu alaikum bhai, i am Indonesian. if you earn 600 $/month outer surround Jakarta you can live with 3 children mostly food ( eating rice ) only 1 $, and many others below 1 $, water 1,4 $/20 L for drink but if you buy in water purifier shop it`s only 0,4 $/20 L electricity 10 $ to 20 $/month include lights, tv, rice cooker freezer and others. for mobility/transport you can buy motobike/1 L gas you can run 50 km. 1 L petrol only 0,8 $ secondhand motobike around 300 $ in good condition and new bike 1500 $ and upper.. you can buy a house cheapest 10 thousand $ size 10 m x 10 m note ; do it in outer of Jakarta city.
It appears that living cost is very high,4-5 mebers family has to shell out more than 1000 USD for basic needs in a month. Such expenses can be meet out only by earning in top 5 currencies.Indonesia a poor country can't provide much opportunities to foreigners to survive.Bhai you should rethink,it may be nightmare like Turkey.
