On August 28, 1993, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers took the world by storm! And now, 25 years later, despite its ups and downs, the franchise is still going strong!
So in celebration of the 25th anniversary, here's a retrospective of all the games based on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series as well as the movie! Some are good, some are bad, some are just ok.

Love Mighty Morphin Power Rangers so much as a kid, and still love it to this day.
The Green Ranger Tommy is still my favorite.
And I love the Sega Genesis Versions even the movie.
The SNES version was amazing. That’s my childhood game
Let's be honest the Sega CD version was nothing to write home about.
You can use your signature weapons in the game boy version when you press select
14:00 Like hell the Genesis version is better. Power Rangers as a concept suits a beat em up much better then it does a fighting game. Even Sega realized their mistake which is why the Genesis game based off the first movie is a beat em up. (And why more of the modern non-mobile Power Rangers games are beat em ups compared to fighting games) Plus the SNES game has three combat modes, namely Human, Ranger, and Megazord while the Genesis only has two. And the Genesis game isn't even a particulary good beat em up (meant fighting game). It having Tommy and the Dragonzord are its biggest advantages but they are dwarfed by the areas where its weaker.
Edit: The weapons are in the Gameboy game. You hit select to equip them but you have to be careful because if memory serves using them drains health.
Sega CD for MMPR this was cut by default is Bronze Belated Happy 30th Years of Power Rangers thanks for the good memories.
There is one Power Rangers Game on the PC. But it is a rare find, better search for an ISO of it. It's Power Rangers Zeo for the PC. Kind of fun, uses digitized sprites, like mortal kombat 1 2 3
The reason the Green Ranger was never in the Nintendo games is because Sega had exclusive rights to use him in their games only. Don't ask me how that works.
Be fair, but the Sega CD game that's been axed is a nothing special Dragon's Lair game with fight sequences and button timing, so its nothing special to talk about, even if it wasn't killed off from the retrospective by Copywrong. No offense.

I find it crazy that licensed Power Rangers games are some of the best titles on the Game Gear. What other console can you say that licensed games are of the quality of their flagship titles? Either that's a sign that Banpresto knew what they were doing and did it well, or that the Game Gear sucks lol
GoldenEye and the AKI wrestling games on the N64 are another example of licensed games being some of the absolute best on the platform.
I only remember the Genesis versions of MMPR. The fighting game with the Green Ranger in it and the movie one with the White Ranger with some elements from Season 2 and 3 thrown in there. I don't remember the SNES games because I didn't own one, my sister did.
About the first Game Boy game: I didn't think it was THAT bad at all. The fact that you CAN use your weapons was already mentioned by someone else, but your "tiny health bar" can be extended A LOT if you do good at the Bonus games after the bosses. And yeah, some of your complains about it I can understand, but lots of them I really can't. Really feels like you didn't look too deep into it. :/
The rest of the video was really good though. :) Also about the second Game Boy game: The part where the spike robot follows you into the tunnel is actually not as bad as some people might think. All it is is basically "Punch Punch, duck, Punch punch, get back up, repeat". Might take some practice, but other than that it's really not that hard ;) And Kimberly and Aisha can jump higher, which is useful against Queen Tengu and Goldar because you can reach the platform above you (also lets you go on the roof in Zedd's stage) :D
The Sega Cd was no great loss anyways, if we wanted to watch the show we would watch it on Netflix or on dvd thanks to shout factory.
As a Genesis guy, MMPR: The Movie is THE best Power Rangers game I've ever played. Hands down.
Fun fact: In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition, the character Lipsyncher is notable for being lifted directly from Dairanger, as she never appeared in Season 2 or 3 of MMPR
Actually, she appeared in the episode "Two For One". She was voiced by Alex Borstein.

I don't mind that the Sega CD game footage wasn't in here, all I can say is that it's just like that awful Kamen Rider ZO game, if you played that game, you already played MMPR on the Sega CD.
Have you heard about the _Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind_ game that's coming out? That game looks interesting from what I've seen of previews; they have recently confirmed to even have Tommy as the Green Ranger to be in there as an unlockable character, and the Zord battles not only look a lot better than the Mega Battle (the subpar Power Rangers Super Legends had the same awful quick-time events mechanics), but even better than other mecha battles in some of the Sentai games.

33:07- Reminds me of Metal Gear TX-55 Battle. If you think that's lame, play the NES Version fighting against a giant Computer instead of Metal Gear.
46:28- What's weird is that Serpent Terra is in the game even though the original Dino MegaZord never fought it, it was the Thunder MegaZord.
49:20- I've noticed that the tail piece is missing on the MegaZord in Mega Battle.

Genesis Game Gear and the last game in the SNES are the best power ranger games. TRUST ME as what you have seen in this video.

@@AllieRX FUUUUUUUUCK!! That's one of the rarest moves to do in the game. Ppl were saying its a rumor or a hack BUT I knew it was real!! This is like the Desperation one hit kill moves from Guilty Gear.

Besides Allie it’s best you left out the Sega CD version since it sucked due to using footage from the show plus the controls in that game sucked for a FMV game. It’s just as bad as the Kamen Rider ZO game anyway.
I know on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie on Sega Game Gear, for the first three levels they could have given the option of choosing the Thunder Megazord, White Tigerzord or Mega Tigerzord and I think White Tigerzord will be way better than the Thunder Megazord.
Never played the Fighting Edition but the graphics look great for 1995 standards. I also have an SNES and only played the MMPR game with the 1st team and the movie version with Rocky, Adam, and Aisha replacing Jason, Trini, and Zack respectively.
I could tell that was Golddar on the gameboy when I was a kid. I actually liked this game because it was the first power rangers game I ever got until my grandma finally got me the game gear and snes version. Loved Game Gear version was amazing and one of the best games made in the series. And its called the Ultra-Dragonzord not Battlemode Dragonzord

Power Rangers the Movie on the Genesis was pretty good and I remember playing it since 1995. It had everything in it but the Game Gear version seems to triumph all. While the Game Boy versions of Power Rangers are meheheh... Sadly I never owned the Game Gear in the 90s era where flannel shirts and Boys vs. Girls and Pogs were invented. Those were the days.
I love the Power Rangers I've been some some con and Comic Con events I've met Jason who is really cool in real life Zack who is super chill and I even met Rocky hopefully I get to meet Tommy and Kimberly soon and Aisha
Morphanomenal! Lol I missed out the Game Gear versions, but I was floored how much effort and fun they were as I discovered gameplay. And I come to the conclusion there surprisingly the definitive Mighty Morthin Power Rangers experiences as well.
