Phil was just so polished in everything he did. When he was on SNL, he was the glue. He’s literally a knockout in every interview, perfect guest for any talk show host. Had an incredible resume with improv, voice acting, and art illustrations. The guy had the brightest future. I think he could have been on par with Bryan Cranston if he landed a comedic role like Hal in Malcolm in the Middle or a dramatic role like Breaking Bad. He could have played roles Tom Hanks played, he had that kind of charisma and range. He was just so damn likable. And clearly was an amazing father, this video showcases likely his proudest moment at SNL with the announcement of his daughter’s birth. Rest In Peace comedy hero ❤️
Shit I never considered that till today. Now I've got this picture in my head of Phil playing Walter White, and I think he'd have done a damn fine job.
Phil Harman's impressions followed by Dennis Miller's hearty beautiful laugh. I miss this era of time so much. Life had hope. And unbelievably funny people.

That Mr. Wilson voice was so memorable that when he first made the impersonation of the voice I immediately thought, "That sounds like MR. Wilson from Dennis the Menace" and looked it up. Only to end up coming back and hitting PLAY after having paused it and hearing him say that he did the voice to it. haha.

What a blow that he's gone. Some of my best times were watching him over the years on SNL. It's hard to pick a favorite bit of his, but The Sinatra Group definitely makes the cut for sure - he did a great Sinatra. There was one Sinatra group episode where Billy Idol was on the panel and Phil said - "I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool." Then there's the Green and Fazio ads - "do you want to spend the rest of your life wondering, maybe I should have sued?" And of course we can't forget Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz. A comic genius. Phil Hartman what more can I say about this genius he will go down in history as one of the most funniest hilarious man on screen that has ever graced it lol this dude makes me laugh all the darn time from Newt Gingrich to Bill Clinton today just to name a few I will always love Phil Hartman! It is a shame that he is not here with us today that his coward lonely miserable wife took his life and hers damn I wish you saw it coming but his legacy will live on and be watch by many and generations to come enjoy all!
Thing is, Belushi and Farley, and to a degree John Candy, did themselves in by the way they lived. We can't know for sure of course, but how much of losing Phil Hartman can be placed at his own feet? Not much, if any, would be my guess. How incredibly sad. RIP, Phil.
Watching Futurama made me want to see some Phil Hartman clips... I imagine his voice whenever Zapp Branigan speaks (not that Billy West isn't amazing...). You left earth too early Phil.
Billy West was great, but remember the character of Zapp was born, before the tragedy, only for Phil. Groening sayd that in a interview It's normal to see Phil in the comedy character of Brannigan.

To hear him speak so sweetly about the woman that murdered him is chilling and terribly heartbreaking.
I’m still angry he’s gone. What a tragedy and waste that didn’t have to happen. He was unique and special.
I just came here to say the same exact thing! What a great person and very funny to want to take out of this world.
