It is believed that pride was one of the first sin ever. Pride was committed by Lucifer when he rebelled against God. He kept saying that church is not "a safe place" for this new generation. But here's the thing: church is not SUPPOSED to be a safe place for your sin. Of course people who are deep in their sin are not going to be comfortable in church. They are going to feel convicted about their sin and being convicted doesn't feel good. The church (disciples of Christ) is to point sinners in the direction of Jesus Christ. We are to let people know that they have to repent of their sin, accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and put our faith in Him to save us. We can not continue living a sinful life and work our way into heaven. Jesus Christ is way better than any temporary sinful pleasure.
Amen…. Church is not supposed to be about feeling “comfortable” with who we are, but rather examining ourselves and changing. Christ accepted those who were humble enough to recognize their sinful ways and he always preached to them to “go and sin no more” he never comforted anyone with “being like they were”.

Most churches? May I ask if you have you been to "most" churches to see and know that they are doing this? Don't forget about the wheat and the tares. The wheat, who are truly born of the Holy Spirit and faithful to the Lord and His Word, will be taken up with the Lord and rewarded and the tares, who have been planted in the "congregations" by the devil will be gathered together for damnation-- no matter which church they are in and whether they are leader or laity.
Most churches are 100 members or fewer. Mega churches get the attention but most churches never reach anywhere near those numbers. That doesn’t mean there’s no truth in your statement but I think we tend to only focus on the crazy outlandish stuff and we miss the pastor who is faithful over his congregation of 100 and preaching the gospel

A safe haven…this is a place that a person goes to escape danger. Which means, when I step into the church I am looking for something different from what I am running away from. So if I walk into the door and you are trying to be relatable to the danger I was in…how will I feel safe? You make the message easy to digest by giving me the same garbage I am running from, how are you feeding me? The church is a safe haven by giving me Jesus. Teach me how to fix my life and change for the better. To get a different result. To gain victory over the enemy and the inner-me.
It's a place of repentance, forgiveness, correction, and healing! But most of all, straightening! Yep, you gonna get some straightening. Some get right and act right!

William Murphy wanted to know what he was supposed to do with the same-sex couple, wanting to dedicate their child to God! You are supposed to tell them the meaning of this dedication, and that is that they are to raise this child with the principles of God, they cannot do that if they are not saved themselves. Before any child is dedicated at our church, our Pastor makes sure the parents are saved, so they understand the meaning And responsibility of dedicating this child to God! Carlton Pearson was once a highly respected and well known pastor in the charismatic movement. There’s a movie depicting his ministry. At some point he came into a new way of thinking. He began to believe that God was too loving to send people to hell and the worst hell we would experience was on earth. Many Christian leaders distanced themselves from his way of thinking and his ministry and he went from thousands in attendance to hundreds or less.
The .movie is on Netflix called "Come Sunday." I wrote that in a prior comment but it was deleted...probably because I said it was surprising and sad that he didn't know who Carlton Pearson was.
He also said since he was older than CHRIST since Christ died at 33 he has more revelation than Him, Pearson had became straight apostate and these two false prophets are following his footsteps

Carlton Pearson was a COGIC minister. He was the host for the Azusa Street Revival. His efforts to the body of Christ shouldn't be diminished. HOWEVER, during his time as a minister he changes his theology. The COGIC Bishops gathered him together and they had a dialogue about it and he was removed from preaching in the COGIC bc his new beliefs did not align. This conversation is on TH-cam.

A safe haven…this is a place that a person goes to escape danger. Which means, when I step into the church I am looking for something different from what I am running away from. So if I walk into the door and you are trying to be relatable to the danger I was in…how will I feel safe? You make the message easy to digest by giving me the same garbage I am running from, how are you feeding me?

It’s the anointing that captures the heart of the people!! The anointing is what makes the difference. Not giving them something they’re familiar with (or relatable or palpable). All we need to do is introduce them to Christ, invite them to church, and the Holy Spirit can take it from there!
I agree with you. The world has heard secular music, when an unchurched lost person walks into church it needs to be holy spirit filled music. People are hurting and lost so they need what God offers, not what the world offers. It’s the Holy Spirit that draws man to salvation not worldly things. That man is out in left field. William Murphy wanted to know what he was supposed to do with the same-sex couple, wanting to dedicate their child to God! You are supposed to tell them the meaning of this dedication, and that is that they are to raise this child with the principles of God, they cannot do that if they are not saved themselves. It is a statement that the parents intend to raise the child in the fear of the Lord and are welcoming the church body to hold them accountable and even take part in the child's understanding of the Lord. I appreciate the sentiment of not wanting to turn away people who are reaching out toward this Godly symbol, but this is a ritual with meaning. If the meaning does not apply, I'm not sure why you want the ritual.
No one is jealous that he’s operating and managing a large CLUB . Clubs are always packed out . But they have no longevity. I’ve never seen any club survive past 10 years .. But I’ve seen many God fearing churches still operating after decades upon decades .This club based church will soon implode!!

The problem is a lot of these new age “pastors” seem to think that their version of scripture is so much more appealing than what the original scripture already says, hence why they think they have to throw on the theatrics and worldly music just to appease the culture. When Jesus hung around ppl that the pharisees didn’t think he should be around, to bring those ppl to repentance. Not to conform to their culture. If we as a body can just do what scripture tells us to do without adding or taking away, we will be so much better as a body.

Carlton Pearson was once a highly respected and well known pastor in the charismatic movement. There’s a movie depicting his ministry. At some point he came into a new way of thinking. He began to believe that God was too loving to send people to hell and the worst hell we would experience was on earth. Many Christian leaders distanced themselves from his way of thinking and his ministry and he went from thousands in attendance to hundreds or less.
The .movie is on Netflix called "Come Sunday." I wrote that in a prior comment but it was deleted...probably because I said it was surprising and sad that he didn't know who Carlton Pearson was.

Carlton Pearson was the golden child back in the day. He came up under the Pentecostal movement but things changed when he started preaching the gospel of inclusion. Very sad. False doctrine.

Some people confuse reaching the lost with appeasing the lost. Having a million persons flocking your church means nothing to God. You welcome where one goes to fellowship is a meeting place, I know why many says the buildings or any meeting place is the church because ( it was suppose always be those in the Lords body).

Ancient idol looking thing is most likely a West African item which may or may not have a spiritual significance. Can't knock everything simply because you don't like how it looks or think it has some sort of demonic origin. That's what the colonizers thought and acted on when they invaded Africa and Latin America. Don't make assumptions. Focus on the topic.
Where does the Bible teach that "the Church" is supposed to be a "safe place?" The Bible does teach that Jesus Christ/the name of the Lord, etc is our "safe place."

Carlton Pearson was a COGIC minister. He was the host for the Azusa Street Revival. His efforts to the body of Christ shouldn't be diminished. HOWEVER, during his time as a minister he changes his theology. The COGIC Bishops gathered him together and they had a dialogue about it and he was removed from preaching in the COGIC bc his new beliefs did not align. This conversation is on TH-cam.
