(I dislike the like lack of commas in this game. I understand Shantae wants you to hold on Rottytops...? Hey, stop grinning.)
Key Notes:
Welcome to the bane of speed runners and other people. You must cross through a hell lot of rooms with increasingly harder difficulties untouched while escorting Rottytops to her house on the other side of the island. You become a one-hit point wonder (somehow) whenever something touches you, but you only are forced to go back to the entrance of the latest room you got to, and getting a Game Over is practically impossible at the expense of possibly driving you nuts by every small mistake you do.

The Squid Oil is obtained from Squid Baron in Sequin Land Palace, after helping the brochure salesman recover his brochure dropped in the sewers.

If anyone's wondering, the start of the room immediately before the save point is probably the hardest part of the entire area, since those jumps always make you feel like you'll hit your head, so you end up waiting a bit too long and getting hit.
This game is literally a boy's first movement into puberty

I loved Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, but I'm eagerly awaiting the Rotty-tops storyline. It's finally time to play as her. Playing as Risky Boots is also going to be awesome.

passing the "bechtel test" is actually really really easy. Two women, talking about something besides a man, at *any* point in the plot. That so much literature and entertainment fails it is kind of damning.

I hope I’m not the only one who felt this was long and tedious just looking back at this run makes me nervous about the possibility of having to do this again..
As someone else pointed out, walking tombstones, charging robo things, and even giant spiked pillars I can forgive. But long, tendril hands, giant white creatures that spit smaller white globs, and ceiling creatures with long, sticky tongues, that's all just dirty thoughts in the making.

It's almost like this entire series is rife with sexual themes and references.
Example I) Early in the original *Shantae* for the GBC, Risky Boots will tell her Tinkerbat grunts to "spank her (Shantae) extra hard for mommy". Man, that is some (low level) BDSM type shit right there.
Example II) In every game, Shantae will wiggle her ass whenever she crouches. It's like "come on daddy come give it to me hard and rough".
Example III) The dancing mini game in the original Shantae. She is basically dancing all quasi-sexy, and people are throwing money on the stage. I mean like, WTF??? There might as well be a freaking STRIPPER POLE in that room.
Example IV) In this very game, during the whole Tan Line Temple business, you'll have Sky, Shantae, Risky Boots, and Rottytops standing in skimpy Princess Leia outfits while being faced by a guy holding a one-eyed snake staff (and we all know what "one eyed snake" is slang for; I only noticed this one after someone commented on it).
Example V) This very stage. Need I say more??
I'm not complaining, however.
Example 2, I don’t think that was meant to be interpreted in a sexual manner, more like a cat or wild animal about to tackle it’s prey, and/or a cute detail meant to give Shantae a bit more personality.
Example 3, I mean that’s literally her job. I don’t think that’s purely a sexual thing.
As for Example 4 and 5..? Yeah no I have no excuse for those. Example 4 was purely an excuse to put some already pretty sexy characters into (somehow) even MORE sexy outfits.

This level reminds me "For Pete's Sake", a good and funny level from Earthworm Jim.
I only downloaded this game because my name is Shanté but I genuinely like it now. Welp
I can say that this is the most annoying part of the game (Not counting the temple sneak).
Aside from the bugs carrying those tombstones with TNT written on it, and the robots who explode when they kiss a wall, everything here is a test of patience.
If it wasn't for the music that plays or else for the idle animations...
+Ibuki Mioda Most annoying (INFURIATING) part of the game is, hands down, the Palace before the final boss of the game. All of those precise jumps, everything has to be on point or you'll be starting the section all over again. And there's at least 5 different ones.
For someone who aren't very good at platforming games, that part rape me so much that it hurt my soul
The pirate master palace was really poor game design.
There's even a part with spike pillars that are impossible to pass and your'e just suposed to guess that it has a secret passage over it.
And that part where you have to speedrun on spikes its nearly imposdible to see whats ahead.
It looked more like those troll mario maker stages than a stage designed by professional designers.
