Haha thanks, it also works well on frames that have long tubes going through the middle, just tape them to a broom stick. Also, zip tie the foam pieces onto the handle so they dont fall out as easy.
After you bolt in the cross members I assume you go over the bolts and nuts with the POR? Another guy in my neck of the woods goes over the POR with diluted Rustoleum . He gets the cheapest spray gun from Harbor Freight, sprays everything and then just tosses the spray gun. I think the extra paint is overkill but it does have a very nice finish. Thanks for the video.
Great question, so the plan here is actually to use grade 8 hardware across the board. Normally I would have the entire frame coated, but this 12v swap is making the process somewhat different this time, but trust me there is a plan! I have no issue with over coating the frame, for me the most important thing is protections from rust (as you may have seen in my last video). And, you're welcome!
Nice work!! I am working on a 72 f100. Coupke questions..do you think the bolts will hold as well as the rivets?? I saw a dentsude that had bolts on the leaf spring hangers snd it looked awesome.
Thank you Sir! So I am using 7/16-14 flange grade 8 bolts. I am going to torque each one to spec and then check them after a bit and see. We also have a process here at DD to replace the factory rivets. My counterpart does it that way, I prefer the grade 8 hardware personally. I am going to try non-serrated flange nuts, I think that will be fine. You will see that very soon as well!
Great idea on the baby bottle cleaners, just ordered some.

You said you used KBS cleaner in the yellow squirt bottle to clean the frame, was it the KBS Klean or the KBS Rust Blast that you used? Thanks!

@@DentsideDepotnice!! Can you go over what was in the spray bottle again? I couldn't make it out at my old age.
@@diyjeff1838 That is Summit chassis paint. It is a very good product highly rec.
What are you doing to put the brackets and crossmembers back on? Are you replacing the factory rivets with just grade 8 bolts? Any concerns with that?
