For the people who think Cole and Kendrick could've had a calm rap battle. I dont even think cole gets a stray on any record if hes not on fps cuz hes already mentioned kendrick and drake together and said hes the best before on Heavens EP in 2021 with no issues, he just wasnt on a song and tour with drake.
Yeah I honestly think this is Kendrick in his feelings. He mention Drake wanting a feature request, it had to have been for fps or a song with them all. Then they did it without him and he wanted war. People keep saying Cole started the beef but how? Just because he said is it k dot, Aubrey, or me?
That's really taking credit from Kendrick. assuming he'll just go off on anybody even someone he doesnt hate. The GREATEST problem with HIP HOP is we’ve been ok with the use of the shortened form of what it really means. Higher Infinite Power Healing OUR People! It was names that with a SPECIFIC purpose! It SHOULD be its OWN gatekeeper by its definition. We’ve allowed the posting of homage to gain too much/further access into the culture that outsiders like and can even love, that WE live told in stories over music. It can be appreciated but never a contribution.
This didn't even make sense. I get what you're kind of trying to say but you think acting like a dictator is gonna fix ... Rappers beefing? You think people aren't just gonna like what they like? You don't think trying to keep hip hop being the little thing you want it to be would stifle creativity in the end IF it was even possible? You're basically saying you want to control what people think hear and put out... To fix rap beef? C'mon man that makes no sense.
@@yodigak8810 You do realise gatekeeping exists in other forms of international music and dance. Just look at Country and Western for one. If you consider dance, gatekeeping exists in all forms of ballroom dancing for example. Hip Hop and specifically Rap, is an example where dilution of its essence results in its current overall state.
This reminded and made me emotional because that is the exact reason why we made Hiphop in the first place ❤ Is it possible to gatekeep now probably not, we may have to spark the flame and watch the party die - then rebuild ❤
@@dmorph249 you should watch open mike eagles video on this topic. I don't think this take makes any sense whatsoever. You cant force a culture to be what you want it to be. Boom bappers thought the west was whack at first. Cool. They still got popular. Same thing with the south. This is just the world. you can't tell people how to think or what to feel. I mean, you can actually I guess through force but then what about when you disagree with the gatekeepers? What about when they wanna shut down your shit? Do you think there should be segregated media or something? Do you think certain media should be not allowed to ask certain things or entertain any narrative other than the ones pushed by gatekeepers? This take genuinely just ain't it. It makes no sense whatsoever as an actual solution. You're just lashing out wishing you were a magic dictator who can control every narrative, and everyone's tastes.

Others have done better however HE IS THE ONE WHO KICKSTARTED or REVIVED THE TREND. *J Cole* cut bro off acting as if he was wanting to better *Hip Hop* when in reality, and we may be too late, he wanted to impove the outlook of his image within *Hip Hop* (or simply boost the hype of *KOD* ) lmao like *Cordae* im *Mad Asf*

I hear u but a diss track that u chose to make and drop shouldn't be conflicted. Either u want that smoke or you want to save face, and should just sit it out. But you can't have it both ways. I'm not really that worried about Cole but I think that's what the main takeaway is n why ppl are frustrated w him.
@@TheDonLemonSnickety I think people need to realize that's just not how Cole is LOL. He's not the disrespectful type if he doesn't really have any issues with you. I'm cool with that. But I'm 42 and have seen enough BS in hip hop over the years. I'm happy to just enjoy a great lyricist.
@ good points. Fair enough
No ya assessment was right on 🎯
all points brought up in this video are valid.
It's like Internet drama and rumors, if you mostly ignore as a Creator you add no fire you'll be fine. If it's bad enough that you have to apologize so be it and we'll let it rock.
But to come back months later like we don't all remember what went down is annoying. Then to have the audacity to be like "name another rapping like this", sir you literally had your chance and dropped the ball big time, Kendrick didn't even have to really do anything.
All you had to do was drop good music and move tf on, we are not hating enough!
The first woman echoes my EXACT sentiments about Cole. I never got the hype. People gullible
They definitely are. That whole generation imo…. Kendrick, Cole, Wale and so on.
Im just glad tyler the creator is dropping cus now you know "the fall off" is being pushed back, west coast
The first sister had BEEF with Cole. You can tell she's been waiting for the moment to call him out!!😂😂
😂😂 hell yea lol. Port Antonio dropped and she got her camera set up, took a deep breath, feelin like it was her bday n Christmas combined, and just went down the list she been building for YEARS lol.
For the people who think Cole and Kendrick could've had a calm rap battle. Can I ask how when the whole jumping off point was kendrick thinking cole clicked up with the guy who he does have 10 yr beef with? How does that not get personal if they look like they run together?
It makes him seem immature and goes against the restraint he has shown with multiple warnings before not like us. Also the big Sean beef that never got to that point and they were able to talk it out. It's more of the should've could've would've behavior that is getting Cole this heat to begin with
@@julianwise-s1lif someone doesnt want to be part of your song just keep them out of it dont even mention them out of respect. Simple. Not everyone is trying to be ill bro'd by Drake. If Coles ok with that that's his prerogative just dont include the other guy
It’s pure jealousy on Cole’s part. I feel like the ladies picked up on it faster than the guys.
12:10 Sooooo... If Cole *NEVER* addressed this, y'all woulda been cool, right? If u saw him or got an opportunity 2 interview him, u wouldn't ask about it, right?
Cole is forcing an explanation on y'all that u wasn't curious about, right? He could just drop "The Fall-Off" and nobody say "Damn, I wish he woulda addressed the Drake/Kendrick beef." right?
They are full of it! Also, Kendrick Lamar is 🗑
This isn't him addressing it or he would've said what lead up to FPS and he maybe tbi is is just overreacting. Why he left Drake to hang by himself and how clisemis he to Kendrick cus that looks like a 1way street. That's what I would ask him and that's not what he addressed here
Yea definitely. Even TDE Punch is tired of y’all and he’s not even on Cole’s side.
Why wouldn't he be on Coles side? His artist works with Cole
That girl, Cara is spitting straight facts!!!!!!!!!! So is Deleted.
The fact that a whole media apparatus had to come together and 'mansplain' for one mediocre dude is crazy. People are trying to save face for rocking with a duplicitous loser, J Fold. Protecting him serves no purpose.
1:15:00 ive said this on *Twitter* or some random video on *TH-cam* but: again, we need a new *Nardwaur* but not *Nardwaur* lol hes his own thing, a copy would be redundant however someone similar as well as unique to themselves would definitely be a breath of fresh *Hip Hop* which has been more prominent within the air since 2010s
Im begining to understand why Kendrick didnt work with Cole much.
35:47 😂😂😂
5:14 oh my 🫢
The GREATEST problem with HIP HOP is we’ve been ok with the use of the shortened form of what it really means.
Hiphop is international how you plan on gate keeping?
Cole should have left it at the apology.
My only thing about 21:30 is the fact that we're glossing over whom *J Cole* actually aimed @ *Lil Pump* and as goofy as the mf was he DID make an impact despite the idiocy that overshadowed such; 1 minute tracks became the move after #GucciGang HE did that. *LIL PUMP* MADE SHORT SONGS A THING.
Y'all leave him alone!!!
If Cole were Amber Heard and pooped on the bed, when asked in trial why? Her answer would've been I was conflicted.
Artist come and go just journalism will always remain
Most people are overreacting to it. I think this whole situation got a lot of casuals making noise online. The amount of people that are talking but dont sound like they know what the fck they talkin bout. How many people you seen in the last 6 months that cant even understand lyrics. Lots right.
Smh.......... just because i can paint doesn't make me a painter. And just because im a painter doesn't make me an artist. Backpack lyrics aren't always battle lyrics and vice versa. I don't understand why its so hard to admit they promote messy. People like messy thats why springer gained so much popularity even maury.
And let's be completely honest. Only 2 of those songs either way were really worth anything euphoria and the heart pt 6. Not like us is catchy because of the hook but it's not a classic.
I knew FPS was a KDot diss the minute I heard it. I tried arguing this point with a Drake stan but they said I’m imagining it - I said look at the video! The Spider-Man meme? Come on!
35:45 what the hell happened with your accent here 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@DuppyShots BACH and FOETH is CRAZY! Idk what that was 🤷🏽♂️
Anybody ever thought that maybe "drizzy d.r.a.k.e" just might have something (hidden camera shots) on j fold?????? He evidrntly has some type of hold on him👀👀👀👀😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
I thought this 💯
I said Cole got that call from drake and then put this mess out 😅
Yes..and i support that they dont do interviews. Because it's the same interviews that delete used out of context to back whatever he was criticizing Cole of and you dubbed them as receipts..
Not reading for the first time 😂😂😂
Cole just had an adult take on the beef. We felt like he called us childish. And we are attacking him back.
I think Elliott’s progression makes sense. We want a take because we’re discuss how we think and feel about art. Art isn’t a 100% objective thing. Just tell the story. If your opinion is there as well, we’re capable of contextualizing for ourselves. Trust the audience.
Although I understand Punch's argument I think the beef made us as Hip Hop fans remember that you have to prove it, and I'm hoping Soul is willing to.
I fw, but Ima keep it 1000, I'm not on the hype train. I don't even care too much for mainstream. I sing and I battle rap. I battled all my fam and wrme went there. Don't come to a fight and not expecting to get punched! Salute Curtiss, chat. Blessings.
Nobody-
*$CompanyMan* - "15 sec round of applause" 1:23
Cole: I don’t want to be a gun.
Joe Budden: Cole think he’s a gun.
Cole: I don’t care about losing a battle. I care about a friend.
Internet: he saying he would win
…bruh
All of the J Cole backlash warms my heart.
I don't think people are overreacting per-say but misunderstanding why people feel the way they do. They're not questioning Cole's talent, they're questioning Cole's actions and how he assumingly handled the situation.
Deleted keeps it real 🤣🤣! Nothing he said was a lie
Naaah in regards to reading magazings,, it depends on your audience. BTS label has a magazine column online where they have interviewed multiple artist so i know for a fact if you like the artist, you will read
Vee spat absolute BARS at the start🤣🤣🤣
Where’s the lie?
Cole been Getting dragged tf out. I love Cole it’s been a hard few months for bro and he ain’t even rap as much as the other people 😂😂😂😂😂

People are gonna start calling him J. Cole with an A after this roasting. J. Coal, Kingsford Cole, etc. 🤣
*Russ'* britches always been bigger than him, may we NEVER forget he is also a guest
How did they get a WTD diss out of that? Especially in the context of the discussion. SMH
Deleted is the only one who may have taken it a bit too far. He was on a mission. 😂😂😂😂
More kenny stan d riding 😂😂😂😂
