- The Barberettes has been crowned the hottest girl group in the Korean indie scene.
They take everyone back in time with their renditions of 50′s and 60′s music and also go everywhere they can to spread their music, amazing people of all ages with their fantastic vocal harmony.
ONSTAGE [K] provides our viewers with an opportunity to take a glimpse at their artistry.
The Barberettes
The Barberettes is a trio comprised of Ahn Shin-ae, Kim Eun-hye and Park So-hee.
They gave their first performance in 2010 and officially formed the group in 2012.
The trio received international attention thanks to their cover of "Be My Baby" by The Rosettes, and has been actively pursuing their careers as musicians with the first studio album, "The Barberettes Volume.1" (2014)

바버렛츠 소개
안신애, 김은혜, 박소희로 구성. 1950~60년대 모타운 풍 정통 걸그룹 사운드를 들려주는 3인조걸그룹이다. 2012년 결성, 주로 인디신에서 활동하다가 Be my baby 커퍼영상으로 이름을 알렸다.
지난해 정규 앨범 ′바버렛츠 소곡집 #1′을 발표하며 활발하게 활동을 하고 있다.

I was a little kid in the Fifties, and a teenage hippie in the Sixties. My daughter and I both like Do-Wop music, and Google recommended "Barbara Ann." Great harmonies! It sounds like they're singing "BarberAnn."
I follow these girls from the very early days, from Italy... and i just love their music. Being a fan of the Andrew Sisters i fallen in love with them at the fist video, 6-7 years ago, and i am very happy they are getting more and more appreciated worldwide.
I love listening to these young ladies, it brings back pleasant memories.

@ Minute 5:43 when I watch Park So hee and her body language, I immediately think of Park Choa ( ex member of AoA) It's as if the two are very closely related. The same facial expressions, the same eyes, the same laugh. It's unbelievable how similar the two parks (Choa and So hee) are in their body language. Is the gene pool so tight in Korea or are the two really sisters?
Sadly Park So Hee left the group so they have all withered away sigh. Was such a great sound too.
If their beauty didn't melt a guy, their music would certainly do the trick. Too bad they didn't entertain at a US base. The guys there would have exploded, guaranteed!
I found the Barberettes a year too late, after Sohee left for a separate career. Such a major loss to music. These women are stunningly terrific as a trio, arguably the best I have heard since the Andrews Sisters.
What happened to them , they seemed to fad away?
I don't like to admit it - but you harmonize better than Crosby Stills and Nash,,, and perhaps Young. I feel like i'm back in the sixties but better - The beach Boys were great but you bring their lyrics back to life in 2020.... rock on 2020 dream gals! your visuals are grand as i dream on to your harmonic music....
