I have a new love for the desert. Back then, I only ever went to the desert to get a pyramid, and I never heard it’s music. Now when I built houses I actually listened to the desert music and it fits the feel of the desert so much
It was a weapon he designed and submitted to the Calamity Devs because they were (and maybe still are) doing a sort of patron thing, where patrons (idk if there’s a specific amount of money you have to donate) get to design a weapon for the Devs to add. The Gaelsword was Levi’s submission.
4:37 In the console version, I feel that sandstorms are much more common than they should be. It's rare when I run into the desert and there is no sandstorm. It makes me happy when there is no sandstorm though. :3
the ending was amazing, and sums up how I feel about boulders i think it would've been even funnier if it was rolling cacti that dropped instead of boulders
@@iceicicle3046 I just realized that, the console players are complaining about not have 1.4 even though the 3ds doesn't. Eh, Xbox users are like that most of the time. \_(·-·)_/
Sandstorms happen way too frequently whenever I play. It is really hard and dangerous to travel in during pre-hardmode, and is even worse in hard mode, so it is best to just fly over the desert.
Hilarious video. I'm not sure if you knew but given a properly hammered incline boulders can roll uphill indefinitely. They really are intimidating things.
I wonder why he likes Leinfors' Set so much ;) Great video ! If I didn't experience the Desert so far, it would've given a lot of "Insight". Keep up with the great work ! :D
Seeing Gael's Greatsword reminded me of a _very_ OP glitch a friend of mine discovered. With the right amount of melee speed, you can make Gael only use one mode. This means that you can get ridiculous dps by only firing homing skulls. My friend got his SCal nohit disqualified because it was too op, lul
I loved the editing so much, and coming from you its kinda surprising to see more humoristic videos, but that doesnt mean it would be bad content right
The scariest part about the underground desert *has* to be the rolling cacti. I don't care what you think. While trying to cleanse our master-mode large world, I had to dig near 15-ish pits through the desert biome we had and likely died 20+ times to rolling cacti alone (with hallowed armor). Why the hell do I take *350+ damage a hit* from a block that spawns in the hundreds within such a relatively small biome.
"sandstorm waiting room" Hah Im playing on Xbox and sandstorm haopens every flippin day. U guys can imagine when i start a new world and want to get cactus, sand or even just get over the desert
desert still has same issue it had in 1.3 where its too difficult relative to the loot you can get there so its still not really worth going. at least there are new items but i kinda cant believe they made desert more of a nightmare than it already was
In my underground desert I found 5 ancient chisels and 2 magic conches. At least one was warding... I got bast statue and the flute by fishing. Still no dunerider boots. I have bad luck with chests, except the dungeon.
I did that in 1.3, but now I actually went down there because tomb crawlers seem less common and going down there is actually worth it now. Also sandstorms are less common - in 1.3 I avoided the surface desert like the plague.
I want to share my story of digging hellevators through desert for clentamination. It is Master mode, a Large world. You have Beetle Armor and around 80 defense. Your stardust dragon (which took you around 30 deaths to acquire) - *cough* lunar events Murders every single enemy in the proximity. Your shroomite digging claws, combined with mining potions and the ancient chisel allow you to dig faster than you fall. You fall on a cactus. Your health is suddenly down to 150. Oh golly. I'll use a Greater Healing Potion, that'll keep me safe! You fall on another cactus. You die and have to wait 30 seconds to go back. This happens 30 more times. Oh, and also, might I add. We live in a world where the most powerful death laser of a god-like being does less damage than a cactus.
