One of my favourite Irish songs though it is sad really. I’ve had this song in my head all day since learning of the terrible tragedy in Creeslough . May they rest in peace and their families be comforted by our Blessed Mother.🙏🏻

Ah Liam and Kat, like yourself, when I heard of Creeslough all I could think of was Bridie and the dear Creeslough folk, Firstly God rest the 10, God help healing the poor families, Bless all, and lets not forget beautiful Bridie resting in peace in heaven.
I remember hearing this song regularly on the Waltons radio programme as a child. It made me shed a tear even then. It's really heartbreaking now. RIP all those gentle souls😪
