"Ocean sound" analogy is so cool and you are spot on. I am already struggling with squeaky notes. Thumbs up for the instruction. But man, your dog scared the shit out of me! For a split second I thought you were under attack.
Thank you so much for always giving the most important key areas for playing the instrument correctly and better. Love your analogy, so clear and right to the point! You are an amazing teacher!!
Thanks for sharing another great lesson, I will try this next! Also love the backdrop in which you video the lesson, very relaxing. Take care and stay safe.
So glad you found it helpful. Yes, different people call it in different ways....I liked the idea of the Ocean. At the end of the end it's just understanding how to allow all the air into the saxophone avoiding any blockages. Keep up the good practice! Any questions let me know!
@@LondonSaxophoneSchool Mate, I can't thank you enough! Your videos are incredible, and just over a year in doing ok but finding certain things hard to grasp.
my problem lies in the lowest of notes- to play them softly from C on down- and I went in and had adjustment on horn- much better, but still need better control- I will work on the ocean....
If you work well on your middle notes then low and high notes will be a bit easier as you will have established a good control or the air flow. The Ocean Sound def helps tremendously :) Let me know how it goes!
Yes, sure it affects the sound. But it’s all down to you, your embouchure, your throat, diaphragm first and then the gear. I recommend starting with a vandoren blue n. 2 and then move up to 2.5 and eventually 3. This process might take several months... all depends on your needs😀😀

Very interesting. But ... please bump up the volume of your audio. (It's definitely too low.)
Noted! Should be ok now going forwards. Thanks for the feedback!
What about the reed type. Doesn't it have effect on the sound?
I mean the size of the reed.

Could you please increase your recording levels when you are talking?
Yes, sure! Thanks for the feedback Kris!
@@LondonSaxophoneSchool Thank you. I want to listen as I drive and I am having to turn up to 30! Problem is when something else comes on LOL!

PLEASE HELP ME!!! My low notes aren't making any noise. It sounds the same as if I'm not touching any keys.
