    I do not think you have understood Mill correctly. Using the example of cars, Mill would put the emphasis on the individuality of the designers rather than on consumerist choice. He would argue that if individuality of designers were suppressed there would be a lack of innovation and a drift towards stagnant mediocrity.

      doesn’t the idea of designers come from the needs of the consumers , think that way.

    How? How does having lots of choice benefit society? Video didn't even try to answer this; just stated it as a "T"ruth.
