  • Village Life: Making Tomato Paste and Cooking Persian Food with Friends
In this video, I will show you how me and my friend made a huge amount of tomato paste from fresh tomatoes that we harvested from our farm. Tomato paste is a staple ingredient in many Persian dishes, and it adds a rich flavor and color to the food. We will also share with you our recipe for a delicious Persian dish called Koresh-e gheimeh, which is a stew of minced meat, split peas, dried limes, and tomato paste, served with rice. This dish is one of the most popular and traditional dishes in Iran, and it is perfect for any occasion.
Join us as we enjoy the simple and beautiful village life, where we work together, laugh together, and eat together. You will see how we make tomato paste from scratch, using only tomatoes, salt, and sunshine. You will also learn how to cook Koresh-e gheimeh step by step, using fresh and aromatic ingredients. We hope you will enjoy watching this video as much as we enjoyed making it. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more videos like this. Thank you for watching!

Greetings با درود Atefeh! 🙋🏻‍♀️ So many things going on in your vlog. Your husband climbing high, high, high in a tree for dead wood. He is so strong and brave! You making huge vats of tomato paste and then bottling it. You cooked a fine meal! So nice to share your life with you. My life pales in comparison. ☺️ Take care my dear friend! Cindy 🥰

What a day! All the tomato puree!Stirring those huge pots over the fire must have been warm work!Nice that you had help and friends to share! The koresh-e gheimeh looks very tasty! I dont eat meat but I am sure it would be just as good without! Do you dry limes for it yourself. I have tried drying them but they dont seem to finish drying! And interesting you eat walnuts green! Our walnuts are not nice green so I guess your walnuts are different though I see you peel them. And was that your husband up the tree? Goodness he can climb! What an amazing video sweet friend! You obvioulsy had a wonderful time! Bless you! Much love!😘🙏💖

      Dear Karen,
Another great comment from you and I am so grateful for that🙏🙏. Those 3 days were so challenging and tiring but they finally came to an end. About the koresh-e gheimeh I can say that without meat it is more delicious although it's not very common in Iran. That guy who climbed the tree was my husband. I always try to convince him that this is dangerous work and he is not young enough to do such thing. The city that I live and I was born is called Toyserkan and it is wellknown for it's great walnuts. We have around 100 walnut trees that each year we start harvesting walnuts at the end of September. I need to say that most people's incomes are inextricably bound up in walnuts in Toyserkan and without it people could barely make ends meet.
Once again I appreciate your kindness and support. I love you so much sweetheart🥰🥰🤗🤗

@@VillageCookingWithParnikThank you for your thorough reply! I know what you say about the challenge of doing these jobs but I imagine for you that it is so important to harvest and preserve what you can financially. We are luckier in NZ that funds or assistance is available but within reason. We too try to do a lot for ourselves food wise , wood etc and until recently nuts but sadly climate and pests are ruining our crops. I will look up your city! I love learning about Iran and the persian history. Very interesting!!I imagine your husband like many men like to keep doing things they probably shouldnt as they dont like to ask for help often! I appreciate you sharing your journey with us and your lovely family and friends , the food and cullture! Love you very much too sweet friend!🥰💖💗
