For three years I have watched every homesteading channel I can find researching and learning about chickens. I find your channel to be the most comprehensive over any other channel. Thank you! I have developed a library of your videos to refer back to in the future when I begin this process as a beginner.

On our farm when our chickens slowed down laying in the winter, my mother gave them beer, yes, beer to drink (limited quantities)...They didn't get drunk😅.
She said it had something to do with the hops. I don’t know, but it helped keep them laying.
    I enjoy your informative videos.
    Please stay with it.
    Have a day of Blessing...

Nicely done! My first winter for our chickens and just this morning was 5 below zero. I scrambled then eggs with sausage and chopped celery leaves in two bowls for my 5 hens and a rooster. That was breakfast before I cook for my hubby and myself 😂 i love those feathered cuties. Then i watered them and later gave them their regular feed. But with these minus digits I don’t mind cooking for them a bit! Love your content am learning much. Thank you!

I don’t know that it affects laying, because my hens have been laying regularly on local feed all winter, but they love sprouted wheat grain!

Yea but so do I. I do plant them as microgreens and give the chickens the remains. That's a flat of clipped grass and roots.

Funny you ask. As far as chickens go, YES. Here's an article we did last month on how to feed them popcorn: www.thehappychickencoop.com/can-chickens-eat-popped-popcorn/

How about hard-boiled eggs, is this okay for them?

My chickens eat raw egg all the time, they’ve never cracked open and eaten their own eggs themselves ever.
