A behind the scenes look through the Wild Coast of the Transkei. With absolutely no plan other than a fun road trip with friends traveling along the Garden route of South Africa (2020), I filmed whatever we got up to and saw along the way. We cruised in our Land Rover Defender to get us to some incredible locations, we hiked the coast lines and went up the Mthatha river by boat while camping and staying at backpackers along the way. This is just a basic and mellow BTS of a few things we got up to when I got my camera out along the way.
A big thanks to Naude and Gustav for joining me on the trip even though we had no idea or plan haha.

I made this BTS/Vlog two years ago but never had the guts to post it. I know it's slow and mellow and might be a little rough around the edges but I'd like to be able to post less polished behind the scenes in the future. It's just a bit of fun and I'll get better and try make it more informative/entertaining when I do more of these. Thanks for watching legends!
I think other videographers will appreciate this type of stuff alot more.
Just went back to rewatch the actual video, and love being able to see 2 videos work in tandem, you can see the ideas and process coming to life.

@@bryn I see you film in 60p a lot like at 1:15 . When you want the footage to playback in real time (like Gustav driving) do you speed it up 250% ?
@@wcsdiaries I often film in 60fps when I’m not sure what my intentions are with the footage, giving myself the option for some slowmotion. I edit on a 24p timeline, allowing me to slow the footage down to 40% if I need.
@@bryn Hmm usually when I try to speed up 60fps footage to 24p it just looks choppy with dropped frames. I don't see that in your vids though!
@@wcsdiaries I don’t shoot 60fps with 24fps playback, I don’t need to speed up any footage in post….only slow down when I need to.

Nice one! GH5 was such a great camera, still own it but it's just collecting dust now. Still holds up today, it's crazy that Sony is not even close yet to the stab from this camera. Anyways, looked at a couple of your videos, amazing work!
