➡️ LESSON DESCRIPTION: This video's objective is to provide detailed instructions for taking routine skull radiographs. Radiographic positioning included in this video are the lateral, posteroanterior (PA), posteroanterior (PA) axial (Caldwell), and anteroposterior axial (Townes) skull. Discuss radiographic techniques using anatomic and projection terminology for the lateral, posteroanterior (PA), posteroanterior (PA) axial (Caldwell), and anteroposterior axial (Townes) skull radiographs. *Apply patient positioning techniques for common skull radiographs. *List and identify the central ray location, image receptor (IR) size, marker placement, and image receptor placement. *Explain radiographic equipment manipulation for required radiographic examinations. *Describe procedural considerations for required radiographic examinations. *Discuss the relevance of the pathology of radiographic procedures. *Explain the rationale for each projection. *Describe the positioning used to visualize anatomic structures.
