    www.stopdrinki...
Typically, an interval of drinking lasts for an hour or more, often going on for several hours.
Even though booze travels through the gastrointestinal system, it requires minimal to no real digestion.
Once consumed, 20 percent of the material moves straight into the blood vessels and is transported through the physical body and to the brain. The remainder enters the bloodstream after being absorbed by the small intestines.
This procedure is slowed when there's foods and nutrients in the abdomen and guts, causing it to take much longer for the individual to become inebriated.
Right after alcohol enters the bloodstream, it's brought to the liver to be metabolised.
Despite the fact that people get intoxicated from alcoholic drinks at different levels and from various quantities of the substance, a well-balanced liver metabolizes it at the identical speed regardless of gender, race, or weight.

I used to drink quite a bit and wondered how people could not drink. I still drink, but I have cut back a great deal
and am feeling so much better. Being in my late 40”s , it’s just not giving me the enjoyment it used to. I’m
Hoping to get to the point of stopping completely.

I may have said this before, but in my opinion no human being on the planet talks more sense on the damage that drinking alcohol can do than Mr Craig Beck. The only thing is whenever I listen to one of his posts I get increasingly baffled as to why it is a legal substance in many countries in the world but he even explains that conundrum as well. Money, in the form of tax revenue.

I think I stumbled into an AA type channel. I'm not an alcoholic. I am 61 and started drinking whiskey a little over a year ago. Hardly ever drank anything before then. But I discovered that I like Bourbon, so I will usually have an ounce to 1.5 ounces almost each evening, around 6:00pm. That's all I will drink. So naturally I don't have a control issue.
Why am I here? Because I was curious as to how long it takes my body to burn through that 90 calorie drink, for fat burning resumption purposes, not for avoiding a DUI.

I have cut down on drinking a lot lately but this test is really inaccurate when you can actually drink enough water to clean out the test. As their mouth fat I would go night without drinking not been winning myself off over a month you never want to quit drinking when your a heavy drinker I used to drink 1618 cans of beer or half bottle whiskey and now I would go many days without anything and just have one sip just trying to maintain myself and I will be quitting by the end of this once but people should know that Ashley those yering test a be drinking of water you can pass everything

I’m a beer drinker. I enjoy a pint of beer. I don’t drink it because I think it is beneficial, I drink it because I enjoy it. If I were at a social event and there was no beer on offer, only wine ore lager, I would refuse a drink.

I was as bad as a person can get on drinking. From 16 years old until 42 years old.One D.U.I. and two D.W.I.s .One more of eather one and I would have had to serve a automatic year in jail. Not to mention the money and probation and because of my drinking I have been in jail more times then I can count and the cost of family and friends and not doing right by my children.I was at one point court ordered to take the drug antabuse! If you don't know what that is,its a drug that will make you sick if you try to drink on it and it can kill you if you drink while taking it.So yes I was as bad as it gets. What made me want to get off of it was that I got sick and tired of being sick and tired.I was throwing up yellow stomach bile every day and just could not handle it anymore. I quit by weening off but I still had the D.T.s for a week or so.The longer I stayed off the better I felt and never looked back. Its been 15 years and not a drop.I saved my own life, for sure I would have died.I don't go to meetings and what keeps me clean is fear! Fear that if I ever touch a drop I will die.I have never wanted it after the first year and I never think of having a drink ! If I can do it then you can too.I hope that this can give someone the hope to kick it too.

Just as coffee seems to wake you up. Maybe those are illusions too. well anyways I drank way less and ended up sleeping for 10 hours. My arm which has been hurting for weeks for no apparent reason is now better. It must be that deep sleep you get when you’re body isn’t detoxing to Booz. I’m going to try and not drink tonight. Alcohol DOES take away my anxiety. It is not imagined. I'm not convincing myself. It is just a fact of life. What also works are Benzodiazepines. I can NOT control my drinking but I can control my Benzo use...never had a problem with that. Unfortunately, I can not get Benzos prescribed at the moment because OTHER people abuse them however I can walk a half mile in any direction and buy some booze without a prescription. That's total. B.S. because I could potentially pick up a DWI which I already received a 4 year sentence for. Alcohol has basically ruined my life and I'd never touch another drop if I was properly medicated. It's only $9/month as opposed to losing jobs and wrecking vehicles and spending YEARS in prison. I share because I just went on a 5 day binge and I feel like crap all because I can't wish away my anxiety and It's near impossible to get Clonazepam at the moment. Thanks for letting me share.

Robert Smeagles Kava helps with anxiety but naturally, similar to a benzo without the addiction/side effects. It tastes terrible going down, but it works for me and many other people. Also helps with getting off alcohol. I make it myself the traditional way with the ground root in water & a strainer bag, but you can buy it in micronized/instant. Kavaforums is a great resource, if interested

go to a legal state and walk into a store and buy some cannabis products that don't get you high but help with your situation and find a product that works and stick with that, other than that, some good bud flower should do good too.....alcohol =death

    • @joeymoodley3614
      @joeymoodley3614 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Robert, you are an addict that is substituting the effects of one type of drug for the other. You are in fact addicted to the feelings associated with alcohol and sleeping/anti-anxiety meds. Your habit has less to do with your 'social awkwardness' or anxiety. It's only a matter of time before you try other stuff (if you haven't already). The sooner you accept that you have serious deep rooted issues that need to be addressed, the faster you will be on your way to recovery. Benzodiazapines won't save you from alcoholism nor will it significantly improve the quality of your life. A combination of non-invasive therapies including meditation, exercise, diet, and a lifestyle and environmental change can be highly beneficial.

Alcohol has become extremely expensive, to PURCHASE. If you throw in cigs even just WHILE drinking, oh man....if you add in any other drugs or addictions. Lord have mercy. Wanna add another expense in? How about legal problems, financial irresponsibility, health problems, etc etc etc...im not preaching here, facts is facts. Now, if you can truly afford to drink and all that can come with it thats great, just exercise caution...doesnt take much to develop one problem or another

Not true. The limit was halved in 2014, meaning one beer could put you over it.
However, to clarify Craig's point about a 'permitted' limit, NO alcohol level is 'permitted' - if you are involved in an incident you could still be prosecuted for being unfit to drive, even if you are under the limit.
BTW I have drunk too frequently in the past, but I am very lucky in that I can restrict my consumption to twice per week - or once, or miss out in a particular week, if I feel like it.
But, I understand that this regime could be difficult or even impossible for many people - only total abstinence will work.

You call yourself an expert. It varies a little bit based on weather you a male or female and bodyweight but if you drink 2 drinks it won't take 6 hrs to be completely sober. It should take about 2 hrs to be basically completely sober.

Thanks, this was a good explanation. Everytime I decide to quit drinking, the first couple of days go with a feeling of strength and commitment. Then about the fourth day I start to feel sadness and anger. But if I manage to stay a couple of weeks sober, then it becomes easier. I just walk past the beer in the store and don't even desire it. But the psychological triggers may still come, especially if I'm too tired and stressed.

The reason why I said up to 10 days in severe cases as per my last message is because the liver and kidneys are exhausted and struggle to flush out the system from alcohol. They need time to recover and in terms of alcohol history is a logarithmic function but I won't go into that ! Alcoholics must take Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Hydrochloride) as the blood in your system will be deficient of this possibly causing collapse.

But, I can drop it anytime I want to,,, I consider myself blessed by this,,,,but in no way support alcohol consumption,,, I have seen what damage it can do , on many different levels,,, 😁✌🕇💕🇮🇹
