Now im imagining how different things could've gone if the Psi Disruptor played a major part in the story right from the beginning instead of just being introduced in Brood War.
Unless the original Overmind was much better at controlling the zerg broods than Kerrigan, Overmind Two, and the Cerebrates the Psi disruptor would have basically ended the swarm's threat. There would have been quite a lot of killing left to do, but without central coordination the zerg are a manageable problem.
I always rolled with the idea that the Confederacy didn’t get the Psi Disruptor up and running in-time for the Zerg invasion of Tarsonis and Stukov finished it.
The reason why Duran suggests destroying the Hive Clusters before getting to the Psi Disrupter is because he's clearing the way for Kerrigan's Zerg to establish their own Hive clusters on Tarsonis. Also, purple Zerg should've been white, green or yellow to not confuse with Kerrigan's
@@razorback9999able Doubtful. The renegades would have destroyed the psi disrupter had they found it, as would Kerrigan. Given that the Zerg are pacified when you destroy their hives, these Zerg are likely feral.
They're feral likely, also Kerrigan can't control the entire Swarm as the Overmind did. She will need Queens but still they won't be enough to control all as we have seen in SC2.

Meanwhile, on StarCraft Alternate… After Zasz is forced to retreat and Dylar IV's Hive cluters are assimilated, Raszagal informs of the Distortion Spire on Char the old Swarm had and which Kerrigan has been looking for. The "Infested" Protoss suggests destroying it, but Dehaka thinks exploiting it would be more beneficial, though is overruled. Raszagal's Brood and the two Pack Leaders from the first mission proceed, and find Protoss all over the area. But without a Templar Nexus, destroying the regular ones should disrupt the chain of command and disable most of their structures, though the warriors will still fight. Eventually, the Distortion Spire is found, but before Raszagal can proceed to destroy it, a Cyphia from Dehaka's Pack claims they will take it from here.
Looking back, this might have been the one plot point that bugged me about brood war; basically Stukov went from appreciating Duran's input to being vexed by it. Just thought the turn was too sudden, in all regards.
I don't know if it's intentional, but it's cool that since it's the UED that you're playing in this mission, the players massed Wraiths as it's how the UED's playstyle to focus more on air power Also... when are you going to say goodnight to the infested Kinglich?

@9:06: I don’t like what those Ghosts are doing. What exactly are they up to? Something doesn’t seem right here.

Very soon yellow vs white cause of the betrayal xd
Wow, all of the red zerg just exploded when they lost their hive. Seems like a bad evolution for them to go through.
Daggoth was just having a bad day y'know?

I wonder why can't her just control those broods?
@@Vantud391 They're already part of the Renegades, that's why Kerrigan wants them removed.

Commander colors:
White: Captain
Yellow: Lieutenant Cheyanne
Blue: Lieutenant Vasili
What?
Is this a cannon faction??

How many hydralisks do you need?
Orange Zerg base: "YES." 3:06 7:30 8:16
Cerebrate: Our needle spines will blot out the sun!
UED Captain: then we'll siege in the shade.
Tough mission. A most Narud awakening after the first two.
there's 4 destroyed hives here, but none of them destroyed by yellow. he just destroyed a bunker. amusing.

That's A LOT of Hydralisk.

Orange zerg AI must be playing that mass hydra build for Coop Kerrigan lol, but originally wasn't that Orange zerg focusing on mutas and guardians?
You're right, every Zerg base specialized in something. It's possible those hydra's were already added in through the editor.
Looking back, this might have been the one plot point that bugged me about brood war; basically Stukov went from appreciating Duran's input to being vexed by it. Just thought the turn was too sudden, in all regards.
7:55 i love the smell of toasted hydra's in the morning
Disassembly. Exact words there.
A bit dissapointed with the map introduction, having the wraiths not cloacked when entering the base, and Duran does not have its hero colour.
Map author managed to break things the original had sadly

3 vs 4 now things are much more fearer
what happened to warrant the "a betrayal most foul" comment?
KingLich destroyed Xena's bunker because it was blocking his path so we called him traitor.
