Danny, we were just on the Apex March 11th, 2023 cruise. Saw you with your family so didn’t want to interrupt your vacation. My wife & I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and started looking last June for our first cruise in 13 years. We chose the Apex because of this video and just wanted to say thank you. It was everything and more than we could have hoped for.

As much as I love the Royal mega ships (my friend even works on one), this ship looks really really good. Bakeries with fresh bread, hexgons everywhere. Really awesome

We just got off the NCL Escape and will be sailing the Mariner of the Seas, Mardi Gras, Scarlet Lady and Jewel of the Seas over the next 6 months. We'll have to get on an EDGE class ship in 2023 for sure!

Hey Danny. Gonna watch and enjoy. No endless comment today. 🤣. Ok. I couldn’t resist. The soft serve ice cream has Taylor’s name on it and love love love the magic carpet, the Cabana and the solarium. Omg. The rooftop garden. Lovely. The Grill speciality dining is beautiful. Scoops. 🍪🍦🍨🍧. Fresh bread and croissants 🥐 my fav. Risotto to order? Omg. Yessssssssss to the Indian and formagerie station. The 🍸 bar. That’s where I’ll be everyday. The steak restaurant had a nice private seating by the wine. Blue restaurant is lovely. Loving Eden and those high back chairs. Danny I hope you shared that mound of🦞 with Taylor. It's an Edge class ship. I don't care for them. Love Solstice but I'm a long-time Celebrity fan so my context may be different than those new to the line. It's lacking in many areas where the Solstice shines. But if you're a foodie, this is probably your ship. It certainly offers a lot of restaurants and when Celebrity gets food right, it's excellent. And that show lounge looks impressive. tbh, you can get a lot of the same restaurant venues on the Solstice ships and the restaurants, though smaller, are just as nice. Great, comprehensive tour.
this ship is never ending. I may have to look into booking. I’m sure as a single person I’ll get hosed in the price. But those suite class lounges would be exactly the type of perks I’d expect for booking a suite - unlike other cruises which give you nothing.
Loved this walkthrough! We'll be on Apex in March for our first Celebrity cruise! We're used to Royal's Anytime versus Traditional dining. Is that a thing on Celebrity or do people just make separate reservations for each night? We're a small group (3 people), so I was thinking we could be more flexible, but my husband likes Traditional dining with the same waitstaff.

The ABC Islands is on my Bucket List and I say that because I saw Celebrity Edge does it but Carnival Celebration is going to the Islands I believe starting in 2024. Have you heard anything yet from Carnival on the Celebration? I'm not sure yet which cruise line I want to the Islands on
I will be going through your website when I'm ready to book! I'm on a very high protein (meat meat meat) diet which is working very well for me. Should I stick to the buffet?
We were booked for October 2020 and, for obvious reason, it was canceled. We are cruising next year with Princess but I will eventually make it to an Edge class with Celebrity eventually. :D
@@swulff8778 We were, my family all got COVID from the trip but it was a great time... Favorite restaurant probably the steak house followed by Le Petit. That said the buffet was wonderful as well.

If flight is cancelled, we will be driving from Indiana to Florida 😢 That is why we are flying 2 days earlier Thanks for any tid bit help you can throw my way. Susan from Indiana
@@swulff8778 Last day on the ship (disembarkation) started showing symptoms. Everyone on board was "negative" when boarding but received announcements that people were infected by day 2. Was a fun cruise and didn't get sick really while on it, but I think we will hold off cruising for awhile after it :/

Not sure if they are wearing mask now on board or not or better mask? N95?. ( our Nov cruise wasn't but 40% full, no masking at all but crew) WE had upgraded to a Sky suite on this Alpex a few month ago got a good discount ( had one on the Edge a few yrs ago and loved it) We love a balcony but I fear of getting it and having to move to different floor/cabin Eck Your thoughts if you are able to answer. of all the ships videos I ve seen, including Disney, this one takes the cake, 70% is done in the finest taste. cool colours, textures, easy on the eyes. the food areas look clean and appetising. great pools and other water entertainments. nice greeneries. maybe 30% looks a bit too busy and have poor matches of colours. few areas are too dark and have awful carpets. many other lines seem dull in comparison, and they fill the spaces with way too much stuff. Apex looks better than Beyond in my opinion. good show!
The Edge has the butterfly sculpture and the new Beyond (which would be the largest ship in Celebrity’s fleet) will have a sculpture of an elephant on top of a man.

What is the difference between this and the Edge. I see in the first couple of minutes that instead of having wings for the art work, it’s a hand with the heart,what else is different? I cancelled the apex due to the high numbers of Corvus and Canada has a travel warming for non essential travel, so no insurance will pay if something happens. Thank you.

I don't like the Edge ships. To me the Solstice ships are classier and feel like true Celebrity ships. This feels like it was designed by a team of designers that want to change Celebrity style into something else. And a ship with really no true nice lounges is not a ship I'm interested in. There are plenty on the Solstice ships and this ship is full of just a lot of restaurants. But there are plenty on the Solstice ships as well. And even the so-called exclusive lounge on the Apex looks more Ikea than it does something more Celebrity stylish. Even if it is a relaxing lounge, it's just really dull. And that Eden area does nothing for me. I hope the class after this goes back to the concepts and style of the Solstice class.
I would book this ship strictly because of the retreat spaces, which I wouldn’t have known about if not for this video. Just because you can’t afford something doesn’t mean no one else should see it. By your logic no one should do a video on anything you aren’t “eligible” for. Why do the video at all since a lot of people can’t afford to go on any cruise, much less a Celebrity one.
Great review, Danny, but PLEASE stop saying "also" and "as well" in the same sentence because it is redundant to use both. "Also" or "as well" or "too" should be used only ONCE in a sentence, since all three mean exactly the same thing. Just saying. 😏
I'll tell him to think about that will as well as think about using saying also when he has already said as well. Also, I will tell him that you enjoy the content as well as the filming and editing.

Think I prefer the intimacy of the Solstice class suite class.
