    comes with LIDAR and SLAM software?
    do you offer the SLAM software by itself too?
    does it have object recognition at all or YOLO type functions?
    looks like there are stereoscopic cameras inset just right next to the wheels too.
    so, point cloud 3d reconstruction and stereo triangulation for grey scale depth mapping?

    • @avularrobotics
      @avularrobotics  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We do offer the Origin with LiDAR and SLAM, combined into our Autopilot software package, available upon request. At the moment we don't offer the Autopilot software seperately.
      We have run our own object recognition trials on the Origin with promising results, meaning it would be easy for you to run your own object detection model. However it is not yet integrated into our software package. Check out our video on object recognition if you're curious! th-cam.com/video/jMSgZ19H7bg/w-d-xo.html
      Keen eye! We have a RealSense D435F stereo camera in the front as well as ultrasonic sensors in the front and back. The RealSense takes care of stereo depth mapping. Check out the full specifications on our website: avular.com/robots/robots-specs/

      @@avularrobotics thanks for the response. it all sounds very conrete and dependable , and ah yes, of course, realSense, (i forget who owns the rights to that specific structure, but thats unimportant) but for youre own success and future growth, id like to suggest considering expanding efforts towards the leasing of your SLAM software working under realSense achitecture as it seems they're consistently aiming towards making realSense hardware options the dominant contender in the fields, and it seems considering that, then the most convinent oppertunities for companies out there is to calcuate all the input into a usefull output of model for users, by means of work SLAM systems.
      I my self am such a user and am struggling formulating a SLAM solution, then again, I dont really see alot of avaiable SLAM solutions out there, and also, im very stubborn about being as open platform as pssible and see that SLAM under javascript is truly my only option, so Ive created near impossible parameters to work within .
      but overall, I like your platform and your drive to support other developers by offering it, but.. focusing only on THAT may corner you in between affordability facotrs and demand, and considering offering an option of open platform SLAM software , just might become your best seller
      i only say this, because i know what my personal needs are, and i know i cant be alone and i think your in the perfect position to bridge such a gap between nthe communities needs, and everyone's success
      just an humble suggestion for your consideration.
      I dont want to take anymore of your time.
      thanks again for the response

    You think it would be possible to navigate an indoor space with only vision and leave the lidar behind?

    • @avularrobotics
      @avularrobotics  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is possible, depending on the environmental conditions. Lighting and dynamic environments do present challenges with only relying on visual data, so for now we will keep relying on LiDAR.
      If you're loooking for an example of using visual data for localization, check out these guys!

      personally, (and im a noob and no where near as professional as avularrobitcs, ,but) id say absolutly. stereoscopic depth mapping or even monocular depth estimation solutions accomidated with solid path planning equations can get you anywhere you need to go, BUT lidar, requires much less work and likely results in far less errors, AND lidar should opperate much much faster because of this .
      stereoscopic systems currently also depend typically on a pattern thrown by IR systems, so its range is limited and outdoors this is a tremendous complication because of the sun, but indoors other IR sources can interfear too. actually the more i think about it ALL 3 systems have IR weaknesses, except monocular systems can use IR filtering to overcome such issues, yet is the one method sitting with the highest processing cost, slow and suffers the most errors from a fundemental level because it is always guessing at depths.
      LIDAR is the fastest and most accurate and typically only suffers bad IR inputs once out of numerous laser hit point inputers per revolution cycles per few hundred MS.
      Stereoscopic, mayber the one most well balanced consumer friendly systems out there. (realSense being the standard provider of such tech, which is what avular hosts onboard their platform)
      (but without SLAM software solutions, can be useless, SLAM is also included by avular)

      Thank you for your interest Jason! ROS 2 is open source, meaning you can easily build applications for the robot! Pricing depends on whether you want it fully loaded with Avular autonomy (plus required sensors) or just the robot by itself. If you're interested in one, please reach out to r.broeders@avular.com

    • @charliebaby7065
      @charliebaby7065 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      speaking soley as an individual with zero indepth knowledge of avularrobotics. i would say
      just add propellers, and greatly reduce the weight. and i mean GREATLY.
      likely their SLAM software is only generally focused on 2D mapping and reconstruction though, at best they may include layering levels, as a drone may move up a flihgt of stairs
      but
      id say it really depends on your needs .
      as a hobbiest, you can just add gps mapping functions through tiled mapping apps like google maps or the mapquest api, accomponing the included SLAM functions
      if professinally or commercially
      I suggest looking into the new company Zipline and their Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management software.
      its basically 3d SLAM with volumetric tubular 3d path planning negotiations that communicate with OTHER airborn drones in vacinity . its constantly adapting and shifting its path, unlike layer staking 2d maps would. Legally this is the best option for FAA clearence these days it seems.

      RFLMAO DARPA put out a public request for help combating drone swarms and such nuicances.
      I stepped up to the plate and said WHY NOT THROWING HOT BACON AND BACON GREASE BALLS at them? they laughed me off, i think as they thought it was a jab at muslims.
      but then again about a month later, they were demoing blobs of silicone net like bolos designed to tangle up the blades and cover any cameras.
      very reminicent of my hot bacon suggestion. minnu the grease (grease to congeal on camera lenses obscuring vision)
      and here i sit thinking see, hot bacon grease
      still getting in where silicon nets cannot.
      through openings of the cages
      and they laughed at me

    I know there is GPS I wish there was a way to automatically send drones toward a Target with GPS At different angles at the same time you can program each drone different routes to hit a target at different angles at the same time Making it harder to knock down the drones It would be a option to control a swarm of drones at once 2 hit target at the same time Almost near Different angles

    • @zackeryjansson590

      If you could have also an option to cancel the mission that would be cool too with the drones Send the drone's back with the cancel button GPS will take the drones back If there is another plan

    • @avularrobotics
      @avularrobotics  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We understand the frustration that lack of transparency can cause, but in some cases, businesses choose to support quote requests because requesting a quote may simply work better. For example, with high-ticket items, it may be easier to sell something by providing some sort of consultation.
      As our robotic platforms are constantly being updated listing a fixed price wouldn't reflect the ever-improving capabilities of the product. This also leaves room for the client to be specific in their request and not have to pay for features that they wouldn't be using!

    • @matthew-lawrence
      @matthew-lawrence 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      These guys should still allow purchase of the base platform with price on their site. Two buttons: "buy now" and "request a quote" Price changes? update the site with the new price, its not difficult. Customer needs help? Chat now or telephone number options. And finally why isn't there any link to the product or company at all in the video notes? A link to google maps location, music used, and they added a transcript. The video contents are very interesting but the ball was dropped otherwise.
