      @AWxInc would be nice to put metric measurements as well

    My fashion sense came about in the 1970s when it was a no-no to have your jeans so short you can see the socks. If they were ankle level we called them flood pants. So I think the "slight break" or the "no break" are too short to be flattering. I prefer a length slightly shorter than "full break." There is another common jeans length option that wasn't mentioned in this video - "cuffed."

    Do you have a video on measuring the torso to see if it’s long, average, or short?

    When pinching fabric, should it be loose fabric or loose + some elasticity?

    When you pinch fabric it’s doubled up. So is it 1-2” before you double it or after you double it? Love the channel!

    • @MensFashioner
      @MensFashioner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pinch = pinch. So measure how much you can pinch without doubling it.

    I'm pretty certain that the illustration for the rise of the jeans applies to the ladies, because your junk will definitely be hanging out if you wore the low rise jeans as shown in the picture.

    Any recommendations for the seat of the pants and between the legs? For example, how much room should we have in the seat of the pants and how close to our privates should the inseam be?

      Yoddy Agung I hear you. I’m short so I always find that my inseam has a bit of a hang and I have a pretty flat butt so there is always some sagging and room in that area

    3:20 such a bullshit. High rise is a staple for men as well. Men like comfort. What is not to like about pants that don't need a belt to stay in place and don't offer butt-crack-inpeek? You can balance your torso with a blazer or worn-as-blazer flanel. Nothing wrong with some good mom jeans and high rise wide leg pants. Call it the Spanish Inquisition. Classic southern European style.

    I stopped watching when she said to go with solid color jeans. Bad advice unless you’re going out to a formal event. There are myriad unique washes out there with subtle fading and whiskering that can look excellent with a variety of tops. Seriously, don’t limit yourself to boring solid jeans when there are so many great options out there. Obviously don’t overdo the whiskering. It should look subtle and realistic, not painted on. Save the solid pairs when you absolutely need to look “dressy”.

    I prefer slight to full break for most pants. So when I sit down my socks don't show as much and my ankles don't get cold.

    • @richardc316
      @richardc316 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same! I think it looks awful when you sit down and your jeans are halfway up your calf. I need some break to allow for that.

    Target Good Fellow and Co slims and skinny and Levis work best for me. I tried more expensive ones but they suck! Only one from Mott and Bow dark blue jeans are ok though.

    What about fabric?
    I get used to wear stretchy jeans and now im into 100% cotton jeans, selvedge and heavyweight denim.
    Since its not stretchy it wont be as comfortable as stretchy ones and at some point, even if it look perfect, there will be some restriction in some areas.
    I know just need to adapt, but how restricted is too restricted with 100% cotton jeans?

    I've just noticed on the levis website that they do odd sized waists as well, ie 33. I've never seen this before in a shop. I have some stretchy fabric belts which help keep my jeans in place. I like the comfort of 1 or 2% spandex in the jeans but they don't cling to your waist like 100% cotton.

    Either side of thigh. For example pinch 2" outer thigh and pinch 2" inner thigh for left leg and right leg? The total would be 4" pinch per leg ?

    This video felt like the length was more important than passing on more complete information. I am sure there are viewing statistics to support that decision, but it made for an awkward presentation.
