- This is my "Final Reveal" video for the Academy 1/48 Dassault Mirage IIIC that is my entry into the "Israeli Defense Forces Group Build" being hosted by Mr. Steve Mottram, both on here and on Facebook.
This group build doesn't end until June 20th, 2020, so, there's still over 10 months of build time left, should you wish to join in and build something. Prizes will be awarded throughout the event, and if you would like to join in, click on the link below that will take you to the Facebook group that has been set up for this build event.

Fantastic build Martin. Looks very striking in that silver scheme. Beautiful aircraft the Mirage IIIC. One of my favourite French machines. Can't wait to see the desert finish one next to it.

Another dreary 48th scale kit receives the Lamont touch and turns into a model to be proud of and so you should be Martin
She looks really nice and will be even better sat next to the Eduard Stable mate.

That's a beautiful looking kit Martin, gorgeous detailing and the metallic finish looks superb. Base really sets it off too. Noce touches with the weeds creeping through.

The IDF "Nesher" & "Kifir"{ spelling?} is based on the Mirage. Externally, except for different antennas it's all the same. This metal finish came out really good! Cool looking base for it also. Great job Martin. Congrats!

Can't say >I have had much joy with Academy . Appalling decals , brittle plastic but I think some of their newer ones may be better . yours looks good though
Thanks Anthony, much appreciated. The decals in this kit went down well, no problems with them...not bad for their age, although two of the Israeli "Star of David" roundels were really skew-wiff….I put those two on the underside so they're not noticeable. Have a great weekend! Cheers :)
Turned out awesome! Mine says that french markings are included on the box, but inside the box it was only the Israeli scheme. Was this the same with yours?
Thanks MM much appreciated! Yes, the same with this kit, the box indicates French markings, but only the Israeli ones inside. I only needed the Israeli ones for this group build, so I wasn’t concerned. But that said, Academy should include them, or, correct the box art. Cheers 👍🙂🍺🍺

The Atar 9 C jet engine had a different exhaust configuration. What shown on this model is the original Atar 9 model.

Where can i buy c-130 model kit?
So what color did you use in the middle of the wings. It looks like natural steel. I'm wanting to do mine similar to yours.
I used 4 different Vallejo Metal Colors paints: in different areas of the model: Chrome, Steel, Aluminum and Gold. Sometime. I'll add a little bit of grey or black paint to darken up the metal color paints to get a contrasting difference in shade.
