Hitting "down and through," on that double tee- recipe for a horrible swing. Doesn't matter if I am talking baseball or softball. Look at video of the BEST hitters in baseball and softball. Slight upward swing is THE optimum swing plane. Preferred launch angles are created with that type swing. Also keeps bat on the same plane as the incoming pitch, creating a longer hitting zone and thus more hits. Watch Sierra Romero or Christiana Bustos, etc if you wanna see good swing plane for a softball swing. The tennis ball bounce drill is fruitless, no rise ball mimics that angle. The rise ball doesn't actually "rise" it drops less than a fastball and appears to "rise" as it comes in, at best, level from an elite pitcher. Some good drills here, but some that will ruin a swing.
